Emirates in November: weather, entertainment, reviews. Holidays in an Arabian fairy tale: what is the weather like in the UAE in October and is it worth going? How to have fun and what to see

The United Arab Emirates is one of the most popular holiday destinations among Russians. The attractiveness of the country consists of several components: beautiful beaches, excellent service, a lot of entertainment and attractions and excellent shopping. Therefore, Russians are happy to travel to the Emirates in October, during the high season, when the country has the best conditions for recreation.

Geographical position

Located in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula. The country borders Oman, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The state unites 7 sovereign emirates, each of which has its own ruler and laws, but in foreign policy they appear as a single country with a supreme emir. The capital of the state is the city of Abu Dhabi. The total area of the UAE is 80 thousand square meters. km. A coastline more than 600 km long is washed by the waters of the Persian and Oman Gulfs. The coastal areas are low, indented by a large number of bays and caves. Most of the country is occupied by the Rub al-Khali desert. This is the largest sandy area in the world. Most settlements are concentrated near the coast; in the interior of the country, living conditions are too harsh. There are several oases in the desert that allow travelers to easily cross these scorching lands. There are also mountains in the Emirates: in the east lies the Hajar ridge, the peaks of which reach 1.5 km. The state lives mainly from oil production, which is rich in the seabed near the country's coast. But fresh water is in great short supply in these places. Arriving in the Emirates in October, you can experience one of the most favorable weather periods.

Climate

The United Arab Emirates has a tropical desert climate with very hot summers and light rainy periods off the coast in winter. In the depths of the peninsula, in the desert, it is hot all year round, and there is no rain for several years. The temperature in this country never drops below 20 degrees Celsius during the day. In summer, in the shade it stays around 40-45 degrees Celsius, and in the sun it can reach 55. Sandstorms often come from the desert. In winter, the thermometer drops to 23 degrees, and it can be cooler at night. The country experiences significant temperature differences between day and night in winter. The swimming season stops in December, when the water begins to cool to 20 degrees Celsius, and resumes in March, when the water warms up to 23 degrees. This time is considered the best for shopping; special sales festivals are even held here to attract tourists. Precipitation per year is only about 100 mm, it is distributed unevenly, and rain is most likely to occur in April and November. The UAE enters the high tourist season in October, which lasts until April. The most unpleasant thing about the climate of the Emirates is not even the heat, but the strong winds and sand.

Weather features in October

Travel agencies begin selling tours to the UAE more actively in October, when the “high season” opens. At this time, the heat gradually begins to subside, although during the day at the beginning of the month the thermometer can still rise to 35, and at night it drops to 25 degrees. The water in the Persian Gulf is warmed up to 27 degrees, and in the Gulf of Oman - up to 23 degrees. This is the best time for beach lovers. Fans of swimming come to the Emirates in October. At this time, the country's snow-white beaches are filled with tourists, divers and surfers flock here. The probability of getting caught in the rain this month is close to zero. But there are often thick morning fogs. Air humidity begins to decrease slightly and averages 63%.

History of the country

It’s worth going to the Emirates in October not only because of the beaches, but also to get acquainted with the history and culture of the country. The UAE is a fairly young state, it appeared only in 1971. But these lands have long been inhabited by indigenous people. Since the 7th century, small principalities have united into the Arab Caliphate, which built the state on the principles of Islam. But later the state loses power, the territories fall under the protectorate of Oman, and from the 18th century on these lands an irreconcilable struggle begins between local princes and the British East India Company, which sought to ensure the safe passage of English ships in the Persian Gulf and wanted to establish the rule of the queen in the lands of the Arabs. Britain got its way, and British rule was established over the country in 1820. British military bases were built on this territory, and rule was exercised by a British representative. The British ruled here for 150 years, but they managed to preserve the established way of life and religion. However, the growth of national consciousness led to a wave of protests against British rule and gradually the British began to lose ground until by 1971 they withdrew their last troops. This is how the new state of the United Arab Emirates appears. A significant increase in oil prices allowed the country to quickly achieve stable prosperity for its residents and begin to develop tourism, trade, culture and urban planning.

Attractions

Holidays in the Emirates in October allow you not only to lie on the beach, but also to visit interesting places in the country. Moreover, there is a lot to see in the UAE; the country is a real paradise for an inquisitive tourist. The future and the past are mixed here, and this “cocktail” is breathtaking. The main place of pilgrimage for curious travelers, of course, is Dubai. Here you can see ultra-modern buildings and ancient, authentic neighborhoods with a way of life that has changed little for several centuries. The list of the most important places worth visiting includes:

- Burj Khalifa Tower. This structure is not only the tallest in the world, but is also a true architectural marvel. From the tower in good weather you can see the entire surrounding area.

-Artificial Palm Island, stunning with the boldness of its engineering design, a whole galaxy of architectural masterpieces is collected here at once.

-White in Abu Dhabi- a structure unique in its luxury and scope.

- Al Jahili, Ajman, Al Husn and Al Fahidi fortresses which have retained their medieval appearance.

- Burj Al Arab, the famous Parus building.

And this is just the best. In fact, there are several times more attractions here.

First of all, you definitely need to go to the desert to get an unforgettable experience. The desert offers entertainment for every taste - camel rides, jeep rides, and quad bike rides. You should definitely visit the traditional oriental market, even if shopping is not part of your plans, it’s worth coming here for the experience. And the huge malls are a real paradise for shopping lovers.

What to see

When you arrive in the UAE in October, you shouldn’t spend all your time on the beach. There is so much to see here. What is a must see? Musical of amazing scale. Both children and adults will have fun in one of the best water parks in the East, Wild Wadi. The unique Sky Dubai ski resort will help you feel the sharp contrast of heat and cold. The time difference between Moscow and the UAE is 1 hour.

Weather in the UAE in October

Daytime temperature +35 °C, night temperature +22 °C, sea water +27 °C.

The UAE often receives a huge number of tourists from different countries, regardless of the weather.

Weather

The climate in the UAE is pleasant, hot, warming, easily tolerated by children, the elderly, everyone. When you get off the plane, be sure to pay attention to the air. He's extraordinary. It may seem to some that there is little oxygen in the air... and this is true! There is less of it than in Russia, this is a natural feature.

The heat is easily tolerated, I hardly sweated. The air is envelopingly warm.

In October the weather is as good as throughout the year! It’s hot, +40, a little higher or lower. Rest assured, no matter what month you come here, the weather will be pleasant. It's always warm, always time for the beach, sunbathing, swimming.

It practically never rains. 4 times a year there will be a nice downpour and that’s it! And then it will dry right before your eyes.

Beware of the sun. Every self-respecting girl should have good sunscreen and glasses. The skin under your eyes will thank you very much for this bonus. For a cool tan, I recommend products with coconut; the tan just sticks to such products! Check it out.

Are you afraid that you won’t get the weather right? Go to the UAE! You will never go wrong. The weather is good every month.

Greens or sands?

On the road to Dubai there is practically no greenery at all, just sand, the same in Sharjah, in Ras al-Khaimk. Greenery may be on site. For example, the hotel where we stayed (In Ras al-Khaimah, Bin Majid Resort) there was a lot of greenery, the whole area was blooming and smelling. (Do not confuse the described hotel with a similar one, there is simply Bin Majid, and there is Bin Majit Resort, which is the second resort, it is much better).

Prices

Yes, Dubai is a very expensive emirate, in general the UAE is an expensive holiday. But not so much that you are not destined to visit here. Hotels are very different. I can say that for about 90,000 you can find a hotel + a return ticket for two, not counting pocket expenses. And it will be a good vacation. Better? Then count on 140 tr for two. This is not Dubai itself, but another emirate, for example, Ras al-Khaimah. It is much cheaper than Dubai, but the holiday is the same. The climate and atmosphere of the UAE are so fascinating that the hotel doesn’t matter at all. You’re not going to sit in a hotel all day, are you? That's it.

The cost of the products is normal, you won’t be wide-eyed in surprise. The fruits on supermarket shelves are very diverse and very cheap compared to prices in Moscow and other “northerns”. All other food products are also reasonably priced.

If you can’t decide on the choice of food at the hotel, take only dinner or only lunch. For breakfast, buy fruits and other goodies, the store has a lot of healthy, delicious food, you can make your own diet much cheaper than at the hotel, there will be no problems if there is a supermarket next to your hotel.

If you want to buy equipment cheaper than in Russia, 2-3000 thousand cheaper, then go to the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, they will definitely give you a discount. Just don’t wear all the most expensive things, look more modest.

Yes, it’s expensive in the UAE, expensive in Dubai itself, do you want a more economical vacation? Choose any other emirate instead of Dubai, for example Ras al-Khaimah. The quality of your vacation will not be worse, believe me, but go on an excursion to Dubai, the allotted time will be enough!

I’m talking about money on behalf of a tourist, and not on behalf of a Russian citizen who moved to Dubai. And I’m not speaking from a person who came to work in Dubai. And that is, the reviews are simply screaming that it is incredibly expensive. Coming from another city, when you need to rent a house, eat, have fun, buy all household supplies, and so on, it is of course expensive, and not only in Dubai! Moreover, if a person comes and works as a maid in a hotel, of course it’s hard and you need money, there won’t be enough of it. But I write specifically about tourists. Those who come for a couple of weeks to relax, swim, come to forget everyday and other problems.

Clothes: what to wear? What clothes should I take with me?

Leave sweaters, warm knitted clothes, pants and leggings at home! Dubai and the UAE in general are very hot all year round. A light jacket will only be useful if you get cold from air conditioning, take one, that's enough.

A light long dress will be very useful for going out into the city, it’s not hot, and they won’t stare!

Take other light summer clothes too. The only taboo is aggressive sexuality! This is not needed here! There’s no need to bare your chest, I can’t do it in the city, and cover your butt at least a little.

But you shouldn’t believe stories about how you can’t wear a knee-length dress in the city, that you need to wear a floor-length dress or pants. It is not true. The main thing is not to expose yourself too much. Be more decent and everything will be fine.

You can wear any kind of swimsuit on the beach, the main thing is that your nipples don’t fall out, thongs are also ok, you’re relaxing in a tourist place, that’s ok! When I was resting, many women and girls wore regular bathing panties, I put on a thong, and a day later, following my example, a couple more girls decided to do it! The rest rolled up their swimming trunks to somehow get an even tan.

Locals

Very friendly people. They don’t look closely, they can just pay attention and move on. The men here are decent, and they don’t particularly look at Russian or foreign women in general.

There was a case when a woman looked at me in a shopping center, it seemed to me that she was Indian, she looked at me sooo much, I turned away as best I could, but she found other options for how to look at me. There were no other similar cases.

Ordinary residents do not understand Russian at all. But in stores you can often meet sellers who understand what you are babbling about!))) they understand the word discount in every second case))) in the shops of Ras al-Khaimah, almost all the sellers are understanding, in Dubai this is more difficult.

Local men and women dress in special clothes, not like visiting tourists.

What can you see in Dubai and in the UAE in general?

You will be offered many excursions. Hotels usually have a price list with excursions. Which ones are worth visiting? Take a sightseeing tour to Dubai only if you cannot go there yourself by taxi, metro, or rented car. Everything in the UAE is beautiful and chic. The best way to review is by renting a car. If it is not possible to rent a car, then start with sightseeing tours of each of the emirates. You will be pleased. You will be taken to all significant places and will have your photo taken as a souvenir. Where should you not go on holiday in the UAE? I don't know such places.

What do I recommend buying for yourself in the UAE?

Local perfumes.

They have interesting notes, special. You will regret it if you don’t buy one fragrance for yourself, one “zilch” and you, while at home, will remember your vacation. He will always be cool here.

Personally, I had never tried dates before my trip. I took 12 packages for testing and gifts at the Dubai Mall. It turned out to be so little! I especially liked the chocolate covered dates with nuts. The classic ones are good too. Dates are available in every grocery store.

Coconut oils/tanning sprays.

With coconut things it lights up quickly and the tan is very intense.

Without these products, our tan did not go on even on the 4th day. After buying a tanning butter with coconut in a Dubai mall, my tan turned chocolatey.

There will never be enough holidays in the UAE; this is the only holiday destination where you want to return.

Guys, I can’t respond to comments yet, but I’ll tell you everything later after the holidays.

November in the UAE is during the high tourist season, so the number of tourists vacationing here is maximum. Find out on the Tour Calendar why this Middle Eastern country is so attractive in the last month of autumn.

Weather in the UAE in November

The short answer to this question is simply magnificent. The fact is that it is from November that temperatures that are prohibitively high for Europeans begin to gradually decline. At noon there is no longer such sweltering heat as in October or September, and you can move along the street quite calmly, and not in dashes. The air humidity level on the coast still remains somewhat elevated, while inside the country it is lower, so the same temperature regime in different parts of the state will be perceived differently, and you need to be prepared for this. In the capital and Dubai, the most visited places by tourists, this month weather forecasters record about +31 °C during the day and +18 °C at night. A little further north lies the emirate of Ajaman, where the average absolute maximum is approximately +30 °C, and the average absolute minimum is about +17 °C. The eastern coast of the UAE is considered cooler during the daytime, but in the evening the air cools slightly. Thus, the range of daily temperatures in Fujairah ranges from +22 °C to +28 °C. Agree, such climatic conditions are more than comfortable for a pleasant holiday. If you move deeper into the United Arab Emirates, the weather here will be hotter. For example, in the city of Al Ain, located approximately 150 km east of Dubai, as a rule, the temperature ranges from +19 °C to +32 °C. Be careful with the sun! Despite the reduction in the number of hours of sunlight to 9 per day and the decrease in the UV radiation index, it is not recommended to stay outdoors without applying sunscreen to the skin. And it’s probably completely unnecessary to talk about a headdress and light, light clothing, since this goes without saying. By the way, if you go to the desert, be sure to take warm clothes with you, since in the evening it gets quite cold there, and the thermometer often drops to +7..+9 °C. The climate of the UAE is very dry, with no more than 110 mm of precipitation per year. In summer and early autumn, the sky does not drop a drop of rain, but in November short showers at midday are rare, but still happen. For the locals, it’s like snow for children, and their joy knows no bounds. On average, out of 30 days there are 3 foggy and 1-2 rainy days, which is caused by the dominance of Mediterranean anticyclones and Siberian cyclones in the country. The greatest chance of cooling off under the trickles of rain is in Sharjah.

What to do in the UAE in November?

The UAE is a phenomenon state that grew up on the site of lifeless sands and in just 40 years has turned into one of the most prosperous countries in the world. The seven emirates are seven different “worlds”, but they also have a lot in common. This is the genius of human thought embodied in the material world, flashy luxury and sincere hospitality to every foreign guest. In general, there is something to admire here, and, as experienced tourists testify, the United Arab Emirates never ceases to amaze either on the second, or on the third, or on all subsequent visits, because one of its unique qualities is the rapid development of politics and economics, in particular tourism industry.

Beach holiday

A beach holiday in November is good for everyone, especially considering the slight cooling of the water to comfortable temperatures. At resorts located along the Persian Gulf, about +25 °C is recorded near the coast. In such water, the risk of proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms is minimal, so this month you can safely take your children with you on vacation. If you prefer more refreshing swimming conditions, look to the east coast. Here, on the Gulf of Oman, stands the emirate of Fujairah. At the end of autumn, the water warms up only to +23 °C. In November, it is usually not hot by the sea, as pleasant breezes constantly blow, but this does not mean that you can sunbathe without fear of getting sunburned. A good sunscreen in November will prevent burns, however, we do not recommend being on the beach during midday hours. The best option is from 7.00 to 11.00 and after lunch. However, keep in mind that in November it gets dark early - at approximately 16.45.

Entertainment and excursions

In the UAE, everything is done to please tourists. Implicit, but easily read between the lines, is the slogan of the tourism industry: surprise and surprise again, no matter how much financial investment it requires. It was here that 7* hotels first appeared, in which golden toilets became something commonplace. Be sure to take a photo in front of the main Dubai symbol - the Burj Al Arab sailing ship hotel, located on an artificially created island 280 m from the shore, and then have lunch at the Al Muntaha restaurant at an altitude of 200 m, which in translation sounds like “Seventh Heaven” (of course, if funds allow).

You should not lose sight of another hotel skyscraper, this time a newly built one (built in 2008), which claims to be the second tallest hotel in the world (380 m) - “Rose Rotana Suites” / “Rose Tower”. Continuing the theme of skyscrapers, it is impossible not to mention the majestic structure “Burj Khalifa” (828 m) “piercing” the sky, from the observation deck of which all the Emirates are visible at a glance.

Holidays and festivals

In November, the entire world racing community freezes in anticipation of one of the main events - the Formula 1 World Championship in Abu Dhabi. This sporting competition lasts for 3 days, and all three evenings end with a mandatory holiday concert. By the way, if you were not able to witness such a significant event, keep in mind that for a certain fee it is possible to visit and even ride on the Formula 1 race track, notable for the fact that cars move along it counterclockwise.

The same emirate is hosting a gastronomic Date Festival this month, during which you can try several dishes from different cuisines around the world using this fruit. On Saadiyat Island, located not far from downtown Abu Dhabi, an Arts Festival is held in late November, organized by world-famous galleries.

What are the prices for holidays in the UAE in November?

The UAE belongs to the category of elite luxury beach destinations, and November is the high tourist season. The combination of these two factors does not have the best effect on prices. In a nutshell: you will have to spend a lot of money on your November holiday. The minimum cost of a tour for two in a 3* hotel and meals according to the “ALL” system at the beginning of the month is RUB 82,000. True, by the end of November the price level is gradually decreasing.

In October, the weather becomes more favorable for tourists, the heat goes away, the air temperature remains at 35 degrees above zero during the day and 21 degrees at night. Despite the fact that it is already mid-autumn, there is still no precipitation, so there is no need to take an umbrella with you.

But there are no obstacles to taking a dip in the sea, since the water is still comfortable for swimming. Its temperature is 27 degrees. High humidity can create inconveniences, but in general the climate in autumn is much easier to tolerate than in summer.

Small problems can create fogs, which appear quite often in October, especially in the mornings. Therefore, it is not recommended to travel in the morning when visibility is very poor.

But, as a rule, tourists go to the beach in the morning, because it is at this time that they have the opportunity to sunbathe peacefully. At lunchtime the sun becomes dangerous for the skin. Sunscreen, a hat and a light, long-sleeve T-shirt will help. avoid sunstroke and burning.

Not only beach holidays are popular in the UAE in October, but also diverse cultural events. There are many of them and for every taste, you will definitely find something for yourself. Besides, the weather is already suitable for visiting excursions, which means there are more opportunities for a great time.
