GTA 4 mission to kill Dmitry. Plot forks in Grand Theft Auto IV

"GTA 4" is a cult game, part of the famous franchise that has conquered the whole world, also thanks to its good dramatic plot. There are several situations in the game when the player will have to make a choice that will affect his entire future fate. One of the questions that arises in the middle of the game is: who to kill - Playboy or Dwayne?

Background

Playboy X and Duane Forge are two African-Americans whom the main character, Niko Bellic, meets after moving to the Bohan area. Both of them are hardened criminals who have been friends since their early years. Dwayne, as an older man, brought Trey Stewart (Playboy's real name) into his criminal affairs, helped him develop to certain gangster heights, and then went to prison for 16 years. When he came out, Playboy had already built a small mafia empire, pimping and selling drugs.

During one of the missions in GTA 4, while we are working for Playboy, Dwayne returns from prison. Trey is very upset by this event and temporarily houses a friend in his apartment. At first, the old friends continued to engage in crime together, but very soon Playboy realized that Dwayne’s behavior would not benefit his business. Forge is morally stuck in the 90s, thinks in old concepts and is not ready to change to modern conditions. Playboy begins to squeeze Dwayne's business.

Before going to prison, Dwayne owned the Triangle strip club, which was his source of pride. But as soon as he sat down, enterprising businessmen took over the club. Dwayne was upset to learn about this after leaving, and, some time after meeting Niko, he asks him to help get the club back. Together they kill the club's managers and their guards and the club returns to our friend.

The playboy does not like this situation at all; he begins to worry that sooner or later his old friend will kill him too. He calls the game's protagonist and asks him to eliminate Dwayne. He somehow finds out about this and, in turn, also calls Bellich with an order for Playboy. He says that he needs to think, both dark-skinned. Now Niko must decide who to kill - Playboy or Dwayne.

Playboy Murder

If you still decide to side with Dwayne, then you will have to try a little to complete the mission. But the reward will be appropriate! When Niko comes to the pimp's home and informs him of his decision, he sets four guards on him and runs away. We need to deal with all of them and go in pursuit. After a short run, we will be attacked by another detachment of Playboy’s bodyguards, which will not be difficult to deal with. After that, we run after the pimp into an alley, where he ends up in a dead end. In addition, his gun misfires. Here the pimp is overtaken by death.

What happens if you kill Playboy? The prizes are quite good. First, we get his apartment for ourselves. By the way, it contains an Easter egg - the costume of Claude, the main character of the third part of GTA. Secondly, his parking lot near the house. Thirdly, and this is perhaps the most important thing - Dwayne will become your friend. You can have fun together, go to bars and clubs. And if your friendship level rises above 75%, then you can call our friend, and he will send a couple of his friends to help us in the shootout.

If in the question "who should I kill - Playboy or Dwayne?" If you choose to remove the old criminal Forge, the mission will be much easier than otherwise. Upon entering his apartment, an old man with a bat will attack us. We kill him and go to Dwayne's room. He will not resist and will calmly allow himself to be executed.

What happens if you kill Dwayne? There are far fewer advantages than with the death of Playboy. He will pay 25 thousand dollars and stop communicating with us.

Conclusion

So, who should we kill, Playboy or Dwayne? It all depends on your preferences, but most factors still suggest that it is better to leave Forge alive. As mentioned above, in this case you will receive an apartment with parking, periodic fire support, and most importantly, a friend. From the point of view of purely human relations, Dwayne also looks more pleasant. The playboy is arrogant and will leave us after killing his friend. Dwayne is very similar to Niko Bellic himself - lonely, battered by fate, no longer young. Niko himself would probably have made exactly this choice.

After the death of any of the characters, you should call Roman, the brother of the main character. A unique dialogue will occur with him, depending on Niko's choice.

With the help of the government and Don Gravelli, Niko finds Darko Brevich, who framed him in the war, he can let him live, or he can kill him. Also, Jimmy, realizing that he has surrounded himself with “rats,” asks Niko to remove his bodyguard Anthony, as well as Ray Boccino.

The final

For the first time in the series, the game's story offers two different endings, which depend on Niko's final choice. The hero must decide whether he should take revenge on Dmitry Raskalov, in which Niko supports Kate McReary, or whether he should make a deal with Raskalov, which Roman persuades him to do.

Publisher Rockstar Games did not test the strength of the already weak nerves of its multi-million audience and kept its promise by releasing Grand Theft Auto...

Revenge

If the hero goes for revenge, he will meet Dmitry on the ship “Platypus” (the place where the game began). After a lengthy shootout, Bellick will kill Dmitry and go to Roman and Mallory's wedding. Kate is glad that Nico has committed his last bad act and can now start his life over, and accompanies him to the wedding. After the ceremony, Jimmy Pegorino arrives at the church and shoots the guests, trying to kill Niko, but mortally wounds Kate. Together with Jacob and Roman, the hero pursues Pegorino's henchmen to the old casino where Jimmy is hiding, after which the chase continues along the coast and, finally, by helicopter. Niko catches up with Pegorino on the Island of Happiness, where he kills him. Together with his cousin, Bellick decides that it is time for them to truly start a new life.

Deal

If the hero agrees to a deal with Dmitry, Niko and Phil Bell go to the meeting. Although Raskalov does not keep his part of the agreement, the heroes eventually get money for drugs. Kate is unhappy that Nico didn't listen to her and doesn't go to Roman's wedding. After the ceremony, the killer who was supposed to kill Niko hits Roman. Desperate, Bellick and Jacob attack Dmitry in the old casino, where both Raskalov and Pegorino, who turned out to be his supporter, are hiding. Dmitry kills Pegorino and flies away from Niko to the Island of Happiness. The hero chases after Raskalov and kills him. In the end, Niko decides that it is better to start a new life.

Execute or pardon?...

Throughout the game, the player will often be faced with a choice: kill or leave alive. The plot will not change radically depending on the choice, but only a few side missions will be added.

Additional tasks

Some characters whom the player saved life can later be met on the street and take additional tasks from them. Additional tasks are given by “random” passers-by, that is, the hero receives them simply by meeting a passerby on the street. Completing these tasks is usually not difficult - just give the character a ride or teach the bandits a lesson.

Communications

Mobile phone

GTA IV has a lot of features related to the mobile phone. On your phone you can receive text and multimedia messages (only on the Whiz phone), answer calls, make/cancel dates with friends, and replay failed missions. The player can take photos with the phone and, in some cases, upload the photos to the police computer to locate the criminal. Niko can call 911 for the police, ambulance or fire truck. On your phone, you can change the ringtone, visual theme, and font size. In addition, using your phone you can start an online game or go to video editor.

Internet

GTA IV has an in-game Internet containing over a hundred web pages. The player can use the Internet through a computer in the “tw@” Internet cafe or in apartments in Algonquin. Through the Internet, the player will be able to read and send emails, meet people, read news, check the weather, and receive additional information. tasks.

Question about GTA 4: What happens if you kill Darko, and what happens if you leave him alive. and got the best answer

Answer from Marat[guru]
I personally didn't kill him. I just moved away from him. And he started running back and forth screaming like a madman. In general, while playing GTA 4, I tried not to kill people who were unarmed, like Darko. Whether you kill him or leave him alive is your business, your choice will in no way affect the further development of events.
Here is the walkthrough of the mission with Darko:
Someone important
Immediately after the mission with the destruction of the vans, you will receive a call and be told that Darko Brevic has arrived in the country. Niko calls Roman and says that Darko has arrived. He wants to go with his brother.
Take a car and pick up Roman on Firefly Island. From there go to the airport. Go through the security post and go to the mission marker.
You will have a choice - kill Darko or give him life. This choice is especially important after Niko learns the ridiculous price of the death of his friends - one thousand dollars. Niko is furious, but Roman will advise leaving Darko alive so that he will suffer even more. Take your pick, I personally killed him.

Whatever you choose, Roman will ask you to take him to Brucie. Having arrived at the place, he will invite Niko to go with him, but he will refuse, asking him to leave him alone.
