The Academy of National Economy was created in 1977 as a government educational institution of the USSR for the training of senior management personnel - general directors and chief economists, heads of ministries, departments and others higher authorities management - which received the unofficial name “forge of ministers”. The Russian Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation was established by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of June 6, 1994 No. 1140.
