There are exceptions - chain mail and mithril armor are sold starting at level 10 and 15, respectively, and merchants will not sell the highest quality armor at all. Some pieces of armor can be found at earlier levels, such as light iron shields can be found on Goblin Berserkers, or pieces of mail armor in the chests of wealthy townspeople (starting at level 4), etc.

Notes: Protection coefficient - shows how many percent of the damage inflicted will be taken by the armor. When hitting armor, its strength decreases and the protection coefficient drops. Depends on the magnitude of the skills of light and heavy armor; the tables indicate the highest indicators for the master level.

* - Instead of leather gloves, there can be leather bracers (Leather Bracer), protection factor - 1.0, strength - 80, weight - 1.5, cost - 5 gold. They are found rarely, mainly on Imperial Legion Foresters, also Baurus in leather bracers is sent to the sewers of ISIS (main storyline) and on several other NPCs.

Imperial armor and weapons from Tes4:Oblivion

Description:

The mod adds Imperial armor from Tes4: Oblivion, and also distributes it to the entire legion from legates to soldiers. You can get this armor by forging it at a forge in the Imperial section, if you have the Steel armor skill, or you can remove it from a killed soldier of the imperial legion. This is my first mod, well, the first portation, I made high-quality textures in Skyrim style, replaced some original textures, added a scallop to the dragon helmet. New weapons are also being added. The armor comes as a complete set along with gloves and boots (that is, not separately, but together)

Installation:
Copy the files from the mod folder to the Data folder of your Skyrim. The alternative link contains the BSA and ESP files, download them, then download the update from the site link (same download button), then copy and replace it to the Data folder.

Removal:
Disable the esp mod file in the launcher.

Requirements: Skyrim version either 1.8 or 1.9, crashes are possible on earlier versions.

Conflicts: Conflicts with any mod that changes Legion equipment.

Update version 2.0:
1. The armor of the Legion soldiers has been replaced with the Cyrodiil style.
2. Added armor to the Imperial section and weapons too.
3. Added a female model of all armor, as well as a sheath for a silver sword.
4. Now all armor is improved at the workbench.
5. Legates now have officer armor as they should.

Update 3.0
1. Fixed a bug with shields, due to which the game did not see the shield (that is, when the shield was equipped, the character blocked it not with a shield, but with a weapon)
2. Improved female armor model.
3. Fixed a crash when transferring armor to companions.
4. The link has been updated and a link with the update has been added (download from the site)
5. All new weapons are distributed to legates and soldiers (legates dragon swords, soldiers silver swords), and all weapons are improved on the grindstone.

Update 4.0
1. Due to many requests, regular, heavy steel legion armor has been added; it replaces the light armor of ordinary soldiers.
