Description essay “How beautiful is the autumn birch tree.” Autumn trees description. Autumn is a time of contrasts! We combine incompatible things in an unusual decoration “Autumn mood Autumn in Russian painting”

12 September 2012, 18:49

I wanted to make a post with the title “On the threshold of autumn”, but, like a slow person, I slowed down, so “Autumn mood”, although the meaning does not change. I wanted to show in illustrations why I love autumn, which I couldn’t stand before. It would seem that what good could happen when it’s grey, damp, slushy and windy outside, and you have to go to work, but you don’t have a car and you can’t call a taxi. And it’s not clear what to wear. And the styling falls apart after 15 seconds of being outside. Total fu-fu-fu. But there is no way out, and we have to go. But when you have already arrived, you can make yourself a big cup of hot, delicious tea, get cookies or cakes bought along the way, discuss the latest gossip and purchases with your favorite college girls, etc. This may not be an equal reward, but when there is no way out, as with the onset of autumn, one must look for the positive aspects in everything. Sometimes you need so little to be happy)))) So, my reasons for joy in the fall: 1. I can put on my favorite shoes again. And buy a few new ones. I really love boots. And I love autumn because I can wear all kinds of boots, different, but so beloved!
2. For the beautiful golden-red landscapes, in which every decent girl should arrange a photo shoot for herself (st:)s))). But the landscapes are really beautiful, they exude peace and perfection, I really like walking along the yellow alleys and breathing in the fresh cool air, in my favorite shoes, of course)))

3. Time for trips to the forest with friends or a loved one, or in general just because you want to take a break from the noisy city and dirty air. If you are with a group, barbecues, evening gatherings around the fire, walking, jokes are encouraged in every possible way)) And most importantly, the mood is good)

4. Try mulled wine in all the nearest cafes and choose the most delicious one. Grog will work too. Last fall we failed to complete this task, so it is being transferred to this year))

5. The opportunity to wear your favorite things again that are not suitable for summer - cozy sweaters, soft gloves, funny knitted hats, knee socks, jackets, etc.
By the way, I want red leather trousers

and even so))
6. Fly to warm countries that are too hot in the summer or have a rainy season or locusts or some other crap that prevents you from visiting.

7. Host home-cooked dinners for your friends. Moreover, you can cook dishes from the cuisine of different countries every time - pasta with seafood, lasagna, pizza, fajitas, risotto, creamy cheese soup, sushi and, of course, Russian dinner - dumplings, dumplings, herring, potatoes, black bread, salted cucumbers)))) Last fall we did this quite often, everyone really liked it until everyone got fat, and it’s good that no one remembers that I was the instigator of this))) This year maybe we’ll hold tea ceremonies)) Pu-erh and that’s it such))

8. Halloween with dressing up, fun competitions and a competition for the wackiest/funny/glamorous costume.
9. Buy new bright rubber boots and an umbrella. I, to be honest, have neither one nor the other. I don’t carry umbrellas on principle, it’s inconvenient for me, I forget them all the time, and somehow I haven’t come across boots that would make me want to wear them. But in my dirty city it’s a necessity, so I’ll look for it))

10. During the dreary lingering rain, dirty grayness outside the window and the uncomfortable howling of the wind, sit at home with an interesting book, drink aromatic freshly brewed coffee with a delicious homemade cherry pie.

11. It’s time to resume sports for those who are hot/lazy/no time to exercise in the summer))) Which will help reduce body fat earned during dinner parties))

12. The beginning of the club season - the dance floors that were closed for the summer are reopening, new parties, meeting new people, socializing, dancing until you drop and music, music, music! Hooray!

13. Finally come up with a hobby. A hobby is not only interesting, but also useful. Drawing, singing, dancing, cooking, embroidery, macrame weaving - all this can brighten up your long autumn evenings. Well, seriously, this might be really interesting for you. Well, you can finally learn English, not exactly a hobby, of course, but it’s necessary, important and prestigious)))

14. Start preparing for the sacred holiday in the CIS - the Great New Year!!! Think about what to give to whom for the New Year, what they will give to you, where, with what, with whom to celebrate and do all sorts of other New Year’s chores)))

Well, in general, in the fall, don’t get sick, don’t get sick, don’t be mopey, get enough sleep, dress up, love yourself and be happy!!!

Returning to the city, you can again feel how low the sun has become. Because of this, at noon it seems a little dark outside, and evening will come very soon.

And yet the light is very bright and warm, it saturates the colors and shades of the autumn palette.

This is how the autumn mood happened to me - with a photo walk and peace. I hope I managed to convey all the enchanting beauty and charm of my favorite time of year. Why do I enjoy such autumn respites with ringing silence and calm? Because autumn is the time to start. Together with schoolchildren and students, you can start learning something. And not necessarily with the goal of making a new skill the meaning of life. But just for the soul - this is also very important. It is in the fall that various interest clubs and schools open their doors not only for children. You can make an important decision in your life that will allow you to enjoy life in some still unfamiliar, unexplored area. If you decide, I wish you success!

I don’t know if you like autumn, but I think you don’t mind the short pause that you agreed to when you started reading the article. May you always be warm and bright! And I offer a few more seconds of autumn - my amateur video of leaf fall. Comfort and tranquility, joy and inspiration to all readers!

It lost ground and autumn arrived with its gray weather. Unfortunately, for many people, it is in the fall that the mood drops to zero. Causeless sadness, apathy, and lethargy appear. There are signs of autumn depression, from which, according to WHO statistics, every fifth person on the planet suffers. As one of my readers wrote in a comment: “It’s sad - summer has flown by, but it seemed like it had just begun. How quickly time flies.” Therefore, it’s time to talk about how to stay positive so that the autumn mood does not affect your health.

The fact is that at this time of year, restructuring occurs in the body. The air temperature drops, daylight hours decrease, and if the rains “charge”, then the frequent weather changes characteristic of autumn will cause an exacerbation of chronic diseases. Particularly affected are older people who were busy in their haciendas during the summer and did not listen to the state of their health, and now, when the body reacts more sharply to increased humidity and cold, they also have free time to listen to their aggravated ailments.

In the human body, the internal clock changes from summer to winter time. Even the need for food changes. If in the summer, as a rule, everyone prefers light food, now you want more fatty dishes. In connection with the approaching cold weather, our bodies, like bears before hibernation, have a need to produce additional calories. During the winter, for some, these reserves reach a critical level, so with the arrival of spring, a pressing question arises: how to lose weight.

But let’s not talk about sad things, because this time of year has many advantages, and the disadvantages can be avoided. What should be done to ensure that the autumn mood is good and does not affect your health? One of the causes of seasonal ailments is lack of light. But this minus can also be turned into a plus - go to bed earlier, but you will get up earlier. Getting a full eight hours of sleep will have a positive effect on your well-being. During the daytime, try not to use electric lighting. Don't forget to go outside during the day. If these are weekdays, then use lunch time outside the building effectively. Spend your weekends outdoors.

One of the sources of good health and mood, and not only in the autumn, is physical activity. Everyone knows the old truth: . Walk more often. If possible, replace a trip in public transport with a walk. Do exercises in the morning. Of course, if you are a lazy person like me, then go to the pool instead of exercising. In general, try to engage in the type of physical activity that gives you pleasure - fitness, dancing, gymnastics, etc.

For bathhouse lovers, you can combine business with pleasure if you take with you various scrubs, masks and do beauty treatments. After the steam room, don’t forget about a contrast shower, and then with special pleasure you can drink some herbal infusion, which is also good for health.

By the way, experts recommend that women start changing their image in the fall. This applies primarily to hairstyles and hair color. There is an old joke: to cheer up, a woman needs to change either her hairstyle, or her job, or her husband. In my opinion, the most “painless” option in the first case, at the same time surprise your loved one with your beauty. You could already read about the fact that skin after a hot summer requires special care in the previous article. Don’t forget about the benefits of nourishing masks and cream, which will help smooth out wrinkles caused by the summer sun.
The body needs vitamin supplements all year round. Scientists have found that fruits and vegetables today contain fewer beneficial elements than 50 years ago. The amount of vitamin C, iron and calcium, that is, those microelements that are vital for the health of any woman, has especially decreased significantly. Therefore, supplement your diet with vitamin complexes. The most important vitamins in the autumn are vitamins A and C.

What else can you do to cheer up? If it's raining outside, surround yourself with bright interior items. The color orange has a particularly positive effect. Wardrobe items or accessories – bags, gloves, scarves – can also be bright. If you are lucky and the autumn is golden, then admire the colorful decoration of the trees, and maybe Indian summer will suddenly decide to please you?

I hope everyone understands that autumn mood And health depend on ourselves. Look at the slide show with wonderful pictures of the autumn season, listen to the song “Autumn Blues”, and let your body undergo a restructuring only for health and positivity! And also don’t forget that on the website “In Secret to the Whole World” there is a message that will help you get rid of blues and depression.

The hall is decorated in the style of a modern living room: there are autumn paintings (children's work) on the walls. There is an armchair in the corner, and the hostess of the living room (host) is sitting in it, dressed in accordance with the theme. Nearby there is a small table, on it: a lamp, a dish with apples, a cup of tea. Music is playing. The participants of the living room enter and are seated in predetermined places.

Ved:Dear Guys! Today we have gathered in our cozy living room to enjoy the variety of colors, sounds, and shades that the Sorceress Autumn is so rich in. After all, autumn is an extraordinary time, it is no longer summer, but not yet winter. And I think you will agree with me that no other time of year, except autumn, can boast of such extraordinary beauty! Even poets sang the beauty of autumn in their poems.

And now I would love to listen to the wonderful poems that you have prepared for today’s meeting.

Music is playing. Against the background of music, children read poems about autumn

……………………….

Ved:What is it like, autumn mood? With a slight sadness for the passing summer, for the bright colors and aromas, and perhaps for unfulfilled dreams.

Everyone has their own autumn mood. It lives in nature, in art and in people. In everyone who is able to understand and feel the beauty of autumn.

Poem "Sad time.."

Ved:Autumn... The golden time of the year, striking with the richness of flowers, fruits, a fantastic combination of colors: from bright, eye-catching to blurry-transparent halftones... Today our living room is decorated with beautiful masterpieces, and we can get acquainted with the brilliant creations of artists and composers. And music and fine arts teachers will help us with this.

Music teacher:

Music will tell us about everything in the world

About snow-white clouds, about the sun, and about summer.

About how a stormy river hits a rocky shore,

As the mountains look down on you, the road winds like a ribbon.

The crane wedge flies away, and the snowflake on your hand melts.

About how the yellow leaf circles and the light burns in the window all night.

As the lights go out in the morning, the ships go to sea.

Like friends singing around a fire, and flowers blooming in the meadows.

How the pages of books rustle, how precious every moment in life is.

Art teacher:

No, it's not the landscape that attracts me

It’s not the colors that I’m trying to notice,

And what shines in the colors:

Love and joy of being.

It's spilled everywhere...

She is everywhere where beauty is...

Music teacher:

Music and painting, architecture and literature, poetry and theater are forms of art and each of them excites the hearts of people and awakens the best feelings in them. They all do it with their own language or, as we say, with their own means. Today we will talk about painting and music, about whether it is possible to “hear” a painting and “see” the music.

Music is one of the oldest forms of art. We do not always notice the beauty of the world around us, we see and hear the beauty of our native nature. And often artists help us with this, teach us to peer and listen to the world around us.

Art teacher:

All sounds and colors relationships,

And also ways of transposition

Any shades of color in notes, sounds.

Love and joy of being.

It's spilled everywhere...

She is everywhere where beauty is...

Presentation of paintings

Let’s turn to the time of “Golden Autumn” and talk about how Russian artists saw autumn.

  • Here is a reproduction of a painting by I.I. Levitan "Golden Autumn"

The painting was painted in the fall of 1895 - at a time when Levitan lived in the Gorka estate, located one and a half kilometers from the village of Ostrovno. The painting depicts the Syezha River flowing next to Ostrovno. This place was located just half a kilometer from the Gorka estate. Levitan loved to paint autumn landscapes - he had more than a hundred paintings associated with this time of year. Among them, the painting “Golden Autumn” is one of the artist’s most famous works. It depicts a small river surrounded by trees covered with yellow and red autumn leaves. In the distance you can see village houses, fields, and further, on the horizon, an autumn forest, painted in shades of yellow. The bright, major, optimistic colors of this painting are not characteristic of Levitan’s work - he usually used softer and more delicate tones. The painting is in the State Tretyakov Gallery.

  • What kind of autumn did the artist see?
  • What did you like about it?
  • What thoughts and feelings does the picture give rise to?

Consider a reproduction of Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov’s painting “Golden Autumn”;

“How I would like to show you our Oka,” Polenov wrote to Konstantin Korovin in 1914. “After all, you and I were the first to discover its beauty and choose a place to live.” Many years of living on the banks of the Oka did not disappoint the artist in its beauty. Polenov continued to tenderly love this nature and, above all, for the harmony diffused in it. He captures the Oka in different seasons, in its various states, giving a real chronicle of its life, full of poetry and deep truth: “Early Snow”, “Summer on the Oka”, “Golden Autumn”, “Autumn on the Oka near Tarusa”.

“Golden Autumn” by Polenov is a symbol of Russian nature. Polenov managed to convey the beauty of autumn like no one else in Russian art.

A broad picture of nature opens up to the viewer's eyes. The majestic river calmly rolls its clear blue waters. Its high bank gives way to a slightly hilly plain that stretches to the horizon. The hills, outlined by smooth, flowing lines, gradually disappear and disappear into the blue distance. Only a small part of this plain falls into the artist’s field of vision - the hills, trees and river appear as if accidentally cut off by the frame of the picture. Thanks to this, the viewer can mentally continue the image, imagine the whole view as a whole and feel the vastness of the Oka meadows captured by the artist.

What words can you choose to describe the picture when talking about the landscape?

One of the many artists depicting the autumn landscape can be called

Ilya Semenovich Ostroukhov. At the first glance at the picture, it is clear that I.S. Ostroukhov loved autumn. With such tenderness he drew the leaves, all different: both in color and shape. And this love is passed on to us. Here's what the author himself said:

“... I just want to walk along the golden carpet of autumn, collect colorful foliage, breathe in the coolness of the forest, in which you can feel the slight smell of dampness and mycelium, and remember the forest as solemn and bright. After all, very soon the trees will shed their dresses and fall asleep, enveloped in winter sleep...”

Consider the work “Autumn Landscape”

What mood does the painting evoke?

One of the autumn landscapes is the work “Golden Autumn”. Consider.

Listen to one of the schoolgirls describe her impressions of the painting.

I just want to walk along the golden carpet of autumn, collect colorful leaves, breathe in the coolness of the forest, in which you can feel the slight smell of dampness and mycelium, and remember the forest as solemn and bright. After all, very soon the trees will shed their dresses and fall asleep, enveloped in winter sleep.

  • You looked at reproductions of paintings where artists depicted autumn in their own way, with their own mood. Many artists, poets, and composers often sing about the wonderful pictures of nature. If, while reading books, looking at paintings, listening to music, we pay attention to everything connected with nature, we may even be surprised at how often and deeply nature penetrates into art, how closely they are connected with each other . That is why for any person, love for art and love for nature are very close and related feelings.

Ved:Sad October holds out its business card, where the lines of the brilliant Russian poet are written in colorless ink of fog:

October has already arrived - the grove is already shaking off

The last leaves from their naked branches.

The autumn cold has blown in - the road is freezing,

...And the pond has already frozen...

Ved: We all call autumn differently: some call it cold and rainy. And someone is generous and golden, and no matter how it is outside - cold or warm - the native land is always beautiful, attractive, charming! And even popular wisdom says: “Autumn is sad, but life is fun!”

Music teacher:

Do you believe that the unique beauty of the autumn landscape can be conveyed through music? ?

Teacher's speech:
- Let's imagine that you are composers and you also want to depict autumn. What means of musical expression would you use?
Students are divided into pairs and given a few minutes to formulate a hypothesis according to the following scheme:
tempo, dynamics, registers, musical instruments.

What would you think the character of the piece, the mood would be, and why?
Their guesses are written down in notebooks and, if desired, voiced at the board.

Many composers depicted the mood of autumn in their works. The history of music knows four famous interpretations of the theme of the seasons. These works are called “Seasons”. This is a cycle of concerts by Vivaldi, an oratorio by Haydn (1801), a cycle of piano pieces by P. I. Tchaikovsky (1876), and a ballet by A. K. Glazunov (1899).
Today we will listen to fragments of works by P.I. Tchaikovsky and A. Vivaldi. While listening, note for yourself which of your assumptions coincided with the composer’s thoughts and which did not.

Students listen to "Autumn Song" by P.I. Tchaikovsky

When listening to music, pay attention to the rhythm, dynamics, timbre (sound color). Analysis of the work according to the diagram. Question: What did music add to the description of autumn? Whose assumptions coincided with Tchaikovsky's music?

- “Autumn Song” occupies a special place in the cycle. This is a dull landscape, the autumn dying of nature and sadness for the passing summer as a symbol of life. The melody is dominated by sad intonations - sighs. In the middle part there is a certain rise, trembling inspiration, as if hope for life flashed. But the third section, repeating the first, again returns to the initial sad “sighs”.

Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741)

"The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi is one of the most popular works of all time. For many, the very name "Vivaldi" is synonymous with "The Four Seasons" and vice versa (although he wrote a lot of other works). The composer prefaced each of the concerts with a sonnet - a kind of literary program. It is assumed that the author of the poems is Vivaldi himself. These are the lines that begin the sonnet "Autumn" (L"Autunno):

The peasant harvest festival is noisy.
Fun, laughter, lively songs ringing!..

Students listen to the concert “Autumn” by A. Vivaldi, part 1

Analysis of the work according to the diagram. Question: Whose assumptions coincided with Vivaldi’s music?

First part. “The dance and song of the peasants,” explains the author’s remark at the beginning of the part. The cheerful mood is conveyed by rhythm. The brightness of the images is given by the use of the echo effect, so beloved not only by Vivaldi, but also by all Baroque composers. This is played by the whole orchestra and the soloist along with it. This is the peculiarity of the baroque instrumental concert...

The conclusions are summarized. What do these pieces of music have in common? What is the difference?

Ved:It's raining again... It hits the keys cleanly.

I fell hopelessly in love with this music.

Undoubtedly he is the best of all pianists,

What you and I once heard.

On the cornice, as if on a black piano,

He plays Vivaldi's rainy "Autumn"

Unable to hold back my tears, and hardly ashamed of them,

And dropping them gently among the maples and pines.

Well, we enjoy the music of sadness,

We get lost in the notes high and low.

Something is breaking out: it will shrink, let go

The pianist’s playing is piercingly pure...

Ved:How pleasant it is to sit in a soft cozy chair on a rainy autumn evening with a cup of delicious tea. And if guests drop by for a quick visit, it’s doubly pleasant, you can laugh and talk with them. Well, for example, about music. What do you think about music?

Presentation of projects “What I think about music”

Ved:I want to see the music

I want to hear the music

What is this music?

You see, the maple leaf is spinning,

Quietly spinning to the music.

You see, the cloud is spinning in the sky -

There will be rain music.

Both the wind and the sun,

And the clouds and the rain,

And the little grain

Its own music too...

Art teacher:

Now let each of you create a musical palette. Let's translate the composers' experiences into color. (Students are given blanks in the form of a palette.) We compose an autumn palette in color.

Music will help you with this. When listening to music, pay attention to the rhythm, dynamics, timbre (sound color).
1) prepared paints, brushes, water.

So you and I captured the moment of the passing autumn. Let's show our work. The autumn turned out to be different, but for the most part you painted a bright, solemn autumn. But if there were no sadness and sadness, then we probably would not value the joyful and pleasant moments of life so much.

Ved:They say that autumn means sadness, continuous rains, cloudy weather... Today you and I realized exactly the opposite. Autumn is beautiful and attractive in its own way. It brings generosity to the soul, warmth from human communication to the heart, and brings unique beauty into our lives! We have visited the world of autumn beauty and harmony. Maybe one of you, when you grow up, will become a famous poet, artist, musician, composer or fashion designer, and our meetings in the creative living room will help him. We thank this AUTUMN for gathering us all in her living room. Winter, spring, summer are ahead... and then autumn again. How many more of them there will be in our lives! I hope that the golden lights of the Autumn Living Room will be lit for all of us in our school more than once. See you again!

Music sounds, the guys leave the hall.

You can love autumn, you can dislike it, but even the most severe autumn-haters cannot help but admit that there is such a riot of colors, so many textures and contrasts in no other time of year. The sun, it would seem, is still warm, but the air is already acquiring the crystal transparency and coldness characteristic only of autumn. The crowns of the trees are dressed in bright, colorful foliage, and the withered grass no longer covers the ground, and there are puddles underfoot, sometimes covered in the morning with timid, gray ice. We haven’t had enough of a walk yet, we still want ice-cold drinks and heat, but our body is already demanding hot cocoa and a blanket. And in the fall, the body, especially the female one, requires beauty and new things :) This is exactly what we will do now.

I wanted to make a decoration that would not only capture all the beauty and diversity of autumn, but also be quite universal, so to speak, “for both the feast and the world.” So that you can go to visit and go to work. Plus use the simplest and most accessible materials possible. Well, it would be desirable that anyone could do it! Yes, there are more than enough tasks for one object. Nevertheless, I present to your attention a set of decorations under the code name “Autumn Mood”.

Those who have ever looked into my shop might have noticed that I give preference to three materials. For the rest of the vast majority, I’ll tell you: these are wool, natural stones and glass (I periodically replace the latter with resin). We won't touch the last one, but we'll use the rest. Wool will be responsible for the warmth, knitted sweaters, scarves and blankets, glass leaves will be responsible for the ringing, crystal transparency, and natural stones will add a zest of autumn colors. All this will be united by elegant weaving made of copper wire.

Despite the seemingly extensive scope of work, in this master class there is not a single material that would be difficult to obtain, and not a single action that requires any special skills that have been honed over the years. Everything is as simple as possible and accessible even for beginners; all you need is patience, a little time and the desire to try something new.

So, we will need:

1. Copper wire (0.4 mm 4m, 0.8 mm 1m, 1.5 mm 2m, 2.3 mm 1m). The quantity is indicated conditionally and will depend on your drawing.

2. Thin wool for felting in autumn colors.

3. Felting needle (38).

4. Matik for felting.

5. Round nose pliers, thin nose pliers.

6. Nippers and scissors.

7. Hammer and anvil.

8. Glass leaves (Swarovski pendants).

9. Tinted agate beads (10 and 8 mm).

10. Copper beads.

11. Faux suede cord.

12. Sheet copper.

13. Sandpaper, paste and polishing cloth.

14. Needle file.

And also liquid soap, ammonia solution, glass containers and water not included in the frame.

Someone will probably notice that among the tools in the photo there are nail clippers. Yes, yes, that's them. A very convenient tool for biting off thin wire in hard-to-reach places, especially when hiding the tails on the back side! Try it, you won't regret it. Further along the article I will share more of my “life hacks”. And, since I don’t like this word, I will pompously call it “secrets of a lazy hamster” :)

Let's get started! First, let's decide on the future composition. I don’t draw sketches, it’s easier for me to lay out the components and see how, what and with what it will look “live”. But it depends on who is more convenient. So, we create a composition in any way acceptable to us. We use a cord to indicate the size and shape of the necklace.

The number one secret of the lazy (and greedy) hamster (however, has long been known): in order not to buy wire in specialized stores that costs 4 times more, go to your husband/dad/brother’s garage and gut the copper cable. If you doubt whether the wire has been treated with something, burn it over the stove, and remove the carbon deposits with citric acid and water.

We start weaving by making the base. For it we take the thickest wire - 2.3 mm. We give the shape carefully and gradually, do not try to immediately bend the wire to the desired shape in one movement. You need to move the pliers along the wire in small steps with light pressure, then there will be no dents left from the tool. We bend such a leaf-like squiggle.

You need to make your own base for Swarovski crystal leaves. It should have a platform so that the fragile leaf can lie on it. From 2.3 mm wire we bend stylized leaves on long legs. Please note that we leave all the long ends of the wire, do not bite off anything, they will be useful to us.

Our base will consist of two parts - one for wire weaving, the other for wool balls. They will be connected to each other with a loop and will be movable relative to each other, which will allow you to wear the necklace comfortably on any neck and under any clothing. Bend the left side of the base into a leaf shape. Next, we tap all our parts with a hammer on an anvil (instead, I have a “head” from another hammer. It’s ugly, but brutal :) This will not only give us a lively composition, but will also add rigidity. Try to hit it evenly so that there are no dents.

We knocked, we move on. Now you need to remove all the irregularities, process the ends and polish the parts almost to the finish state. Then, when all this is entwined with wire, we will no longer be able to reach many places, and some annoying dent will spoil the whole impression. Therefore, we take some sandpaper, turn on the music and work.

The ends would need to be finished with a file, but I don't like it. Another nod to my own laziness: a manicure machine is perfect for polishing copper. Processing takes just seconds and no effort! Well, how lazy I am, I’m even a little ashamed... Anticipating future questions - I’ve been using one attachment for more than a year, and it doesn’t require replacement yet.

Next is my favorite moment - bending the curls. We take 1.5 mm wire. I have an autumn necklace, and the wire weaving will be in the form of a bouquet of twigs and leaves. In random order we make curls in the form of leaves. I once tried to draw beautiful lines on paper and then bend wire along them. But nothing worked, the wire resisted, wrinkled, deformed and stubbornly refused to fit according to the sketch. I spat and just started listening to metal. Copper is an amazingly living material; it itself will tell you what kind of pattern will come out of it. Therefore, advice: listen to the wire, if it somehow doesn’t fit well, then it doesn’t need to be there.

We make different leaves, I got this bouquet of 4 branches. We definitely leave long legs. Don’t forget to tap in places with a hammer to add volume and dynamics, and then work with sandpaper.

As a result, we get such an elegant broom. At this stage, we can already see the future composition, so we can safely start felting wool balls, now we won’t make a mistake with the number and size. We take wool of three colors: mustard to match the glass leaves, brown to match the copper and red to match the agate beads. Any wool will do, take it to your taste. I really wanted the beads to be soft and pleasant to the touch, so I took thin merino wool in a ribbon.

We fluff the wool and use a needle (I have a No. 38, universal) to felt the balls. We make them sufficiently dense, we spare no time - we will save it at the next stage. I got 9 balls, 4 smaller, 5 larger. When all the balls we need are ready, we soak them in soapy water, throw them in the sink and roll them (yes, black is a sink). To be on the safe side, I first rolled each color separately, and then all together until it was dense. I will not dwell on this process in detail, since the method is not mine, it was found here, in the expanses of the Fair, if you need more detail, I think it will not be difficult to find.

In order not to make a mistake with the size, be guided by the fact that dry-felt beads will “lose weight” twice as much. It’s from such cute chubby little guys that we get such a pitiful handful of bald heads. Kidding. They are not bald at all; because of their thin fur, the balls are very pleasant to the touch and even somewhat reminiscent of angora. We rinse with water and send them to dry.

After looking at the finished balls, I decided to deviate a little from the original plan and add copper leaves. To do this, I take out a copper sheet 0.3 mm thick from my stash. If you fail to find something like this in the garage of the nearest male individual, and there is no specialized store, then you can try to get what you are looking for in a radio electronics store; boards are soldered on such sheets. You don't need any special tools for cutting either. If you don’t have metal scissors, it doesn’t matter, take strong regular ones! I have kitchen ones, for example. Copper is a very soft metal and cuts easily. Cut out a few leaves.

To make our leaves look “withered,” we need to work a little on the texture. Take the pliers, pinch the leaf and turn your wrist. The metal is pulled out by the wave. To make the sheet look natural, we use this principle to go around the entire perimeter in different directions two or three times. It is impossible to make notches along the edge of a metal sheet; there will be sharp burrs, but no one will stop us from pinching the edge. It will become thinner and acquire a completely natural relief.

I'm not going to use ready-made fittings, so I cut out small circles, about 4-5mm, from a sheet of copper. These are future hats for felt beads. I deform them the same way as leaves. We make holes in all these elements (I drilled them with a thin drill). And don’t forget to sand the edges thoroughly so that there are no sharp spots left. You can start assembling the bouquet!

We weave the branches together sequentially, adding one after another, using 0.4 mm wire. Try to make the weaving neat, as it will be visible and will be part of the composition, symbolizing the stems. If the winding diverges, you can correct it with thin-nose pliers. Before introducing branches for glass leaves, it is better to reassemble the composition and mark the exact place of weaving.

We attach the fasteners for the leaves. There is no need to weave the winding to the very end, it will interfere with us forming the tails. Where necessary, we will add turns later.

Let's add some decorations. We braid large leaves with metal beads. We still leave all the tails of the wire.

We tie the last branch. For the sake of variety, I braid it two or two (two turns on one side, two on the other), which turns out to be squares in a checkerboard pattern. So far our broom looks a little chaotic. This is only an illusion; when we patina the wire and polish the convex parts, the bouquet will acquire the required volume.

Let's move on to the second part. Here we add an element made of 1.5 mm wire, on which felt beads and copper leaves will be attached, it also ends with a loop that will connect the two parts. We braid it beautifully. We tie “mustaches” from 0.8 mm wire onto which the balls will be placed. 9 balls - 9 mustaches.

Finally we got to the hosts. From the longest tail we make a curl, which will serve as a guide for the suede cord. We bend the rest and form beautiful waves, bite off the excess and hide it.

In the middle I added another curl of 1.5 mm wire and braided it around two beads made of tinted rowan-colored agate. In the area of the junction with the “woolen” part, add a bunch of red beads. I have them dangling freely, I really love the way such clusters rustle, but if you don’t like something moving around your neck, you can tie it tightly :)

The main stage is completed, you can finally deal with the ends of the wire sticking out from behind. We use them to strengthen the entire structure, pulling the wire through the weaving and grabbing different elements, a couple of turns are enough. We bite off the excess and hide the tip so that it does not cling. It’s very easy to check; after completing this stage, you need to move the fabric on the back side of the product; if it doesn’t catch anywhere, it means the work was done efficiently. We proceed to the most important stage - installation of crystal pendants.

Very carefully and smoothly, use a thin wire to fix the leaf in place. The main thing is not to overtighten, otherwise the fragile glass will begin to crumble. Next, we take a 0.8 mm wire and, as it were, compact the leaf by winding the wire around the branch.

And only after that we wrap the leaf itself. We do everything as carefully as possible, since while the glass is dangling, it can be damaged. Use the opposite end of the wire to mask the edge of the fastening. The final touch is a small copper bead. That's it, let's exhale! The leaves are secured, now they are not in danger. By the way, if you are against wearing glass, you can replace them with carved leaves made of natural stone, it will look very harmonious.

We connect the two parts. Don't forget to make plugs for the cord with a hook. And you can begin the most exciting moment of working with wire - patination. To do this, we take the most accessible and cheapest material possible - ammonia solution. Sold in any pharmacy. We also need a container, preferably glass, with a tight lid and thread.

We collect small parts on threads and hang them in a jar so that they do not touch the bottom or each other (to do this, we put an elastic band on the neck of the jar and distribute the threads with parts over it). Pour ammonia into the bottom, literally a small puddle, and close the lid tightly. The main part with the branches was not included in the frame, since it needed a larger container. But the principle is absolutely the same. When working, keep in mind that the aroma of this drug cannot be called enchanting. You can ferment all this for different times, it will produce different shades. I stood there for more than an hour and a half. The result is this brown color.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a sander, so I sand and polish everything by hand. First, sand the first layer. Next, take GOI paste and a rag and three, three, three... I’ll make a reservation, I took this paste because it was the only one I had. But if you have the opportunity to use another polishing paste, use it, because... GOI paste is then very difficult to scrape out of the turns of wire.

Well, one more secret of the lazy hamster - you can polish copper wire very quickly, efficiently and efficiently with a nail polishing file! In no other way could I get such a mirror-like surface as after sawing. I take the simplest ones, on paper. When the polishing is ready, we take it all into the bathroom and wash it with baby soap.

After washing and drying, you can begin final assembly. We make holes in the felt balls with a needle and put them on the antennae intended for them. We figure out how the leaves will be arranged and whether the balls need to be swapped.

We put on the cap and secure the beads with a loop, biting off the excess. Correcting the placement of the balls.

We hang leaves on the rings. How melodiously they rustle when they touch! We also add leaves to the middle and to the wire weaving.

We pass the faux suede cord through our weaves. Install the clasp and tighten it. Our work is coming to an end.

Quality control appears :) That's it, our necklace is ready! And the remaining leaves made wonderful, light earrings.

And now for the photo shoot! I can only add that due to its openwork, the necklace is weightless and sits amazingly on the neck. Can be worn with a dark, simple top and an interesting skirt in fall colors. Or with a white blouse and trousers, there are many options. The main thing is that it turned out to be such a concentrated autumn!

Well, just admire it.

Thank you for reading to the end! All the best to you and may this autumn bring you only warmth and comfort!

I will be very glad if you liked the master class and press the “like” button.

Best regards, Yulia
