Young John Travolta played the main role in it - a salesman in a small store, Tony Manero, who was inconspicuous and nondescript during the day, and at night transformed into a real star of the dance floor at the Odyssey club.
Perhaps audiences loved this film because it gave them what they were missing - the belief that no matter how routine life may seem during the day, it can be made completely different at night. To some extent, this discovery became revolutionary for the youth of the eighties; boys and girls began to actively implement this idea.
In addition, in the eighties of the twentieth century, more and more nightclubs began to appear, and athletic, toned bodies and fitness became fashionable.
