Edition National Geographic unveiled the best photos of the 2017 competition participants National Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year. The photo competition closed on June 30, while the winners will be announced in August.

The competition jury has now begun selecting the winners. To ease the agonizing wait, the editors National Geographic We opened the competition archive and shared our own selection of works. The works demonstrate amazingly beautiful landscapes taken in different countries of the world, as well as animals captured in national parks all over the planet.

This year's main prize will be a ten-day expedition to the Galapagos for two in the company of representatives National Geographic.
