It is enough just to stand in front of the boss, and when he swings, move back to a safe distance, and when he starts to hit, throw a fireball at him. The initial spell will be enough for 3/4 of all his lives. It is advisable to have several fire bombs with you to be sure to kill the boss this way. If you managed to knock out his sword from the Black Knight in the Undead City, then even a character with the minimum parameters for the sword (18, 20) can kill the boss with one blow while jumping from the tower (if you hold the sword with both hands), since the weapons of the Black Knights deal additional damage demons.

One of the safest ways to kill him: run up the tower and throw a couple of black bombs (or spells). As soon as he is about to jump up, climb onto the ladder and go down literally a couple of steps. As soon as he jumped down from the tower, climb up again. Taurus is vulnerable to lightning. Apply Golden Resin to your weapon and strike from under your feet. The player encounters the Taurus Demon on a relatively narrow castle wall in the Undead City. You can skip the Taurus Demon only if you chose a master key as a starting gift and decided to go to the Undead County through the Valley of Dragons and Lake of Dark Roots. Veterans Dark Souls, however, use it to obtain valuable items in the early stages of the game.

Despite its menacing appearance, the Taurus Demon is equally vulnerable to almost everyone additional types damage (magic, fire, lightning, bleeding, poison, toxin). Gold resin, three handfuls of which can be found near the entrance to the boss tower, will seriously increase your attack potential in this fight.

The Taurus Demon doesn’t have many techniques, but to increase your chances of survival, it’s better to familiarize yourself with them:

• jump attack– being far from the player, the demon bends down and jumps towards you, raising his ax above his head. To avoid getting hit, either roll to the side, or, oddly enough, run straight at the monster - it will land behind the hero’s back;
• hit on the spot– a short-range version of the previous attack. The monster swings his ax for a long time, which gives him an excellent chance to get around the boss and land several hits on him;
• hit the ground– a faster version of the previous attack with the difference that the ax ends up in the ground at the end of the animation. To dodge, roll to the side;
• horizontal kick– another technique with a long swing. The damage radius of this attack is not too large, so either roll away from the boss or roll under his weapon.

As for battle tactics, it depends on the experience of the player. If you are new to Dark Souls, we recommend using the popular “jump-run-repeat” tactic. To implement it, when you see the boss, you need to climb (stairs on the left) onto the turret where the crossbowmen were, and jump from there onto the demon’s head.

When the demon jumps back, return to the starting point and repeat until victory.

It is with both of them at the same time that you will have to fight in order to further advance through the plot of the game. If you kill one of them, the other completely restores its health and takes the strength of the defeated comrade. If you kill Ornstein the Dragonslayer first, Smough adds lightning damage to his attacks. If Executioner Smough dies first, then Ornstein increases in size, his attacks cause more damage and the latter can use part of the Executioner’s abilities, namely the fifth point attack.
In the game, Ornstein the Dragonslayer and Executioner Smough are one of the most difficult and interesting bosses in the game.

Tactics

• When fighting a boss, it is advisable to focus attacks on one target in order to deprive the enemies of a numerical advantage, and then when one of them is overthrown, the second will restore all its health.
• Columns (if you hide behind them and don’t cuddle) will help you avoid long-range magical and some of the enemy’s physical attacks.
• It is recommended to use a shield with high rate balance and lightning protection. The ideal choice would be the Eagle Shield. If you have great stamina, you can easily block all enemy attacks - the exception is the second phase of the battle, where only part of the attacks will be blocked.
• Of the two, Ornstein is the most dangerous, especially if he is in the second phase of the battle. For newcomers to the game, it is strongly recommended that you deal with him first.
• During the first phase of the fight, Smough is vulnerable to all types of magical damage. By itself it is weak. It becomes slightly stronger in the second phase: mobility increases slightly, and attacks with the fifth point begin to deal lightning damage, the damage radius increases.
• You can summon the phantom Soler from Astora. His summoning sign is located on one of the flights of stairs to the left of the entrance to the boss's abode.

Where can I find the Taurus demon?

Find the location where the boss is located. You won't miss it if you move along the path through the Undead City. Light a fire, then walk across the bridge and through the city until you reach the tower. On its 2nd floor there is a foggy gate, behind which is the Taurus Demon. Please note: you will not be able to go back until you kill the boss, and therefore go through the gate only after being well prepared.

Preparing for a meeting and battle with the Demon Taurus includes the following actions: raise your level of agility and endurance, as in the fight you will need to run and tumble a lot; stock up on fire bombs (approximately 20 pieces), which you can buy from the merchant (you will find him next to the local fire in the Undead City, under the hollow soldiers holding spears).

Now you can go through the misty gate. You are on a dilapidated bridge where there is a watchtower. Straight ahead is a watchtower, and behind you is another tower and a ladder with a pair of hollow archers. You need to get rid of them, because the fight with the Taurus Demon in the presence of archers will be difficult. Then go to the middle of the bridge, where the Taurus Demon will descend from the front guard tower. Now run to the back, cleared tower and use one of several methods to deal with the bosses.

Several ways to kill a boss in Dark Souls

The first method involves the use of fire bombs. You simply kill the Demon with a bomb, which is very simple but time-consuming. Climb the stairs and climb the cleared tower, look down. Aim at Taurus using the analog stick (right) of your controller. Then take a bomb and throw it at the Demon by pressing the X button on the controller. The bomb will explode and take away part of the boss's health bar.

The second way to kill the Taurus Demon is to attack it from above. Just like in the previous method, you climb the tower, and then from the edge of the tower you sharply jump down onto the boss’s head, while simultaneously pressing the attack button (right controller button) to hit in the air. Hitting the Demon will take away a significant portion of its health. You should be wary of the boss's claws. After performing the attack, you will find yourself between the demon and the misty gate. Quickly somersault, but do not climb the tower, but run to the end of the bridge, then come back. Taurus will run after you, so at the end of the bridge, do a somersault between the monster's legs and run to the clear guard tower. Go up the stairs and repeat the top attack procedure.
