In Mecca, the earth opened up and blood flowed out. The disappearance of Islam, the Koran and the death of the best people. Is everything so simple

For a long time, Muslims have asked the question: “Why do you need to turn to the Kaaba when praying and why did the Almighty exalt the land around Mecca above the rest, calling it “haram” - forbidden?” A well-known researcher of the scientific data contained in the Koran, Zalul Najara, in this regard refers to the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “ Makkah was a small piece of land on the water, and all dry land spread from there».

The Egyptian specialist, professor of geography at Cairo University, Dr. Hussein Kamaluddin, developing this idea, scientifically established that for the first time, as a result of volcanic activity over water, land appeared exactly where the Kaaba now stands. And then the earth began to spread from there. Prior to this, the entire planet was covered with water. In addition, based on long-term calculations and simulations, it was proved that the Kaaba and Mecca are the center of the entire land. It is not difficult to see this for yourself if all the continents are connected together.

This scientific discovery was officially announced in November 1977. Scientists have found that in the place where the Arabian Peninsula is now located, in ancient times there was a supercontinent Gondwana, which then broke up into seven continents. The formation of this supercontinent occurred in the Paleozoic era. It retained its original appearance in the first period of the Mesozoic era. But about 180 million years ago, in the second part of the Mesozoic era, as a result of global tectonic processes, the Gondwana mainland began to break up into continents and took on the forms that we are used to seeing today.

Hussein Kamaluddin also writes that in Mecca, namely on the place where the Kaaba stands, the magnetic center of the Earth is located. The scientist came to this conclusion after he found that even if the Earth's magnetic poles change, the magnetic center in the Kaaba remains the same. This he established when calculating the direction to the Kaaba (qibla) from any part of the Earth. To his surprise, the scientist found that this direction coincided with the direction of the magnetic lines that led from all sides to Mecca, to the Kaaba.

In addition, Dr. Kamaluddin established that the true magnetic meridian of the Earth does not pass through the city of Greenwich (England), as is commonly believed in the world, but through Mecca. The Greenwich meridian, it turns out, moves when the magnetic poles change, while the meridian passing along the Kaaba remains in place, since the magnetic axis of the Earth passes through the first temple of Monotheism.

It is noteworthy that science also asserts on this account that there are magnetic meridians in the human body, which, depending on whether they coincide with the magnetic lines of the Earth or cross them, have a beneficial or harmful effect on the human body.

All this may be the reason for the prescription to turn in prayer and other cases in the direction of the Kaaba. It is known that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) tried as often as possible to be in the direction of the Kaaba, wherever he was and whatever he did: he talked, prayed to Allah, or even slept.

There is also a hypothesis of scientists that the walking of pilgrims around the Kaaba during the tawaf counterclockwise to a certain extent symbolizes the pilgrim's involvement in the universal movement. After all, starting with an electron and ending with galaxies, everything in the universe moves in this way.

In this regard, scientists have put forward the idea that the hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him), which says that the sins of pilgrims are erased and after the Hajj they become like newborn children, may be due to the fact that when bypassing the axis of the Earth, the believer's negative information is erased.

Kamaluddin also considers other hadiths on this topic. "Above the Kaaba is Bayt ul-Ma'amur (the heavenly likeness of the Kaaba), above it is the Arsh (Throne of the Lord) and seven heavens, and below the Kaaba there are seven lands." In his opinion, the seven earths are the seven shells of the Earth, and the seven heavens are the seven heavenly spheres of our planet.

Of course, all of this is still largely speculation. But the centuries-old history of Islam has clearly shown that there is great meaning and wisdom in all the instructions of the Almighty.

Big Signs of the Day of Judgment

There are big and small signs that the Day of Judgment is approaching. When they happen, it will mean that the Hour is already very close. Events, which are called BIG signs of the approaching doomsday, will follow each other, and there will be no large time gaps between them. They are like scattered beads: when the first bead falls from the thread, the rest inevitably follow...

1. Smoke

One of the signs indicating the approach of the Hour will be the appearance of smoke:

“Wait for the day when the sky will bring a clearly visible smoke that will envelop the people. It will be painful suffering!” (Sura 44 "Smoke", verses 10-11).

2 and 3. The reign of the Mahdi and the appearance of the Dajjal

Messages about the signs of the Day of Judgment mention to us the names of two people who will appear at the end of time - these are Mahdi and Masih-Dajjal (which means "False Messiah" in Arabic), as well as the many trials and shocks associated with them.

Dajjal with his temptations will appear at the end of time, and his appearance will be one of the greatest turmoil in the history of mankind. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Between the creation of Adam and the Hour, there is no creation more terrible than the Dajjal” [Muslim, No. 2946].

But before the False Messiah comes out, a righteous man will appear on the earth, whom the Muslims will choose as their leader. It was about him that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) spoke, saying that even before the end of earthly life, a person from his direct descendants would appear, who would be called the same as his name was (that is, Muhammad, the son of Abdullah), and he will lead the Muslims, fill the earth with grace and justice, although before him it will be immersed in violence and injustice.

At the time when the righteous ruler Mahdi will live, Dajjal (False Messiah) will appear, his exit will be accompanied by bloodshed and murders right and left. He will be able to quickly spread his influence over vast territories, like clouds driven by the winds, coming first to one people, then to another. The false messiah will call on everyone to follow him, promising many blessings and testing faith: for example, he tells the heavens to rain, which will allow domestic and wild animals to wean and bring a large milk yield. Those countries that reject it will suffer drought, famine and poverty. Wherever he goes, he will tempt people everywhere, at his command, treasures will appear from the earth, he will even kill a person, cut him in half, and then bring him back to life again. He will be on earth for a total of 40 days, but they will not be ordinary days. The longitude of the first of them will be equal to the year, the second - to the month, the third - to the week, and the remaining 37 days will be of the usual length. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “There is no such land that the Dajjal will not enter, except for Mecca and Medina” [Bukhari; Muslim].

The Dajjal will claim to be God and perform miracles to make people believe him. And people will come to him, confident that he will not deceive them and that they will never believe in his lies, however, seeing the miracles that he does, they will follow him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever hears of the approach of Dajjal, let him stay away from him, for by Allah, a person who considers himself a believer will come to him, and then follow him because of those doubts which he will instill in the hearts” [Abu Dawud].

The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) described his appearance and indicated his origin: “Verily, I told you about the Dajjal, but I was afraid that you did not fully understand. Indeed, Masih Dajjal is a man of short stature, bow-legged, with curly hair, one-eyed: his second eye is smoothed out, he is not protruding or sunken. And if you remain in doubt as to who he is, know that your Lord is not one-eyed and that you will never see your Lord” [Ahmad; Abu Dawud)

Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “He is crooked in his right eye, and his eye is like a protruding grape” [Bukhari; Muslim].

Allah marked the Dajjal so that the believers could recognize this sign, while the rest could not see it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There was no prophet who did not warn his community against this one-eyed liar. Verily, he will be crooked in one eye, while your Almighty and Great Lord, verily, is not one-eyed. And it will be inscribed between his eyes “k - f - r”, and every believer, both literate and illiterate, will be able to read it ”[Muslim].

One of the temptations that Dajjal will bring with it is the likeness of Heaven and Hell, or the likeness of a river of water and a river of fire. However, people will see the opposite, and what will seem to them as fire will actually be cool water, and what will seem to them as cool water will actually be fire. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “I know better than he himself about what will happen at Dajjal. Two rivers will flow with him, one of which will seem to people as clear water, and the second - a raging flame. Whoever finds himself there, let him go to the one that will seem to him fire, and then close his eyes, bow his head and drink from it, for in fact it is cool water ”[Muslim, No. 2934].

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “One of his temptations is that he will say to a Bedouin: “If I resurrect your parents, will you testify that I am your Lord?” He will answer: "Yes." Then the devil will appear before him in the form of his parents, who will say to him: “Son! Follow him, for he is your Lord.” But we know that his words will be lies.

4. The coming of the prophet Jesus and the death of the Dajjal

As we said, the False Messiah will have remarkable abilities, he will be able to go around the whole earth, after which he will go to war with the Mahdi, who by that time will gather his army, and it is at this time that the true messiah - the prophet Jesus - will descend to earth.

Allah Almighty stated in the Qur'an that people never killed His Messenger Jesus, the son of Mary. In fact, Isa did not die - another person died, whom Allah made similar to Isa, and He raised Jesus himself to heaven, as it is said in the Koran: “However, they did not kill him and did not crucify him, but it only seemed to them. Those who quarrel about it are in doubt and know nothing about it, but only follow conjectures. They didn't actually kill him. Oh no! It was Allah who raised him to Himself, for Allah is the Mighty, the Wise” (Sura 4 “Women”, verses 157–158).

Allah Almighty saved the prophet Jesus, resting until he completed the period prescribed for him. In relation to him, the Qur'an uses the word “to rest” in the same way that the Almighty says “to rest”, explaining the nature of our sleep: “The Lord gives rest to souls at the moment of their death, and He takes away the one that does not yet die during sleep. He keeps the one to whom he predetermined death, and releases the other until a certain period. Indeed, in this are signs for a people who think” (Quran 39:42).

Also, the Almighty says the word "rest" in relation to Jesus when he promises to save him from the machinations of enemies. The Qur'an says: "Here Allah said:" O Jesus! I will give you rest and lift you to Myself. I will cleanse you from those who disbelieved ... "" (Quran 3:55).

Thus, the promise of the Lord was fulfilled by him when He saved Jesus from crucifixion. Another promise of the Almighty will be fulfilled when He returns Jesus to earth so that the prophet ends his life here.

When he returns, he will be exactly the same age as he was when he left the earth. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “There will be no other prophets between me and Jesus. He will descend, and when you see him, you will recognize him ... He will stay on earth for forty years, after which he will die, and the Muslims will perform a funeral prayer over him ”(Abu Daud, 4324; Ahmad).

The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) informed us that when the turmoil brought by the Dajjal spreads and the situation of the Muslims becomes difficult, when the Muslims prepare to fight the Dajjal and begin to equalize their ranks, Allah will bring down His Messenger Jesus from heaven. “The Almighty will send Jesus, the son of Mary, to the people, who will lay his hands on the wings of two angels and descend [to the earth] at the white minaret in the eastern part of Damascus in two yellow clothes” (Muslim).

‘Isa will come as a follower of our Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and will be guided by the Quran. Thus, Isa will not be a new prophet, and the correctness of saying that our prophet Muhammad is the last prophet will not be violated.

The first thing that ‘Isa will do after his advent is to oppose the Dajjal. “Truly, as soon as the time for prayer comes, Jesus, the son of Mary, will descend to earth and lead the worshipers. And when he (the False Messiah) looks at him, the enemy of Allah will dissolve like salt dissolves in water.” (Sahih Muslim)

Another hadith specifies that the meeting place of Jesus and the False Messiah will be the city of Ludd (near Jerusalem): “Then he (Jesus) will search for [the False Messiah], overtake him at the gates of Ludd and kill him” (Sahih Muslim).

Jesus will not leave the False Messiah to dissolve, but will kill him with his weapons, and after that the forces of evil will be completely defeated. This will begin a new story of the life of Jesus

5. Invasion of the tribes of Yajuj and Majuj

This invasion is known not only from the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but also from the messages of other prophets, their well-known name is Gog and Magog.

Who exactly the Gog and Magog tribes will turn out to be is not known for certain, but on the basis of the hadiths from the two most authoritative collections in Islam - Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, it can be concluded that these will be people representing large nations. The Quran says about them: “When Yajuj and Majuj (Gog and Magog) are released and rush down from every hill, the true promise will approach, and then the eyes of the unbelievers will roll back” (Quran 21: 96-97).

No one, not even Jesus, who defeated the False Messiah and stood at the head of the believers, will be able to resist the advancing tribes of Gog and Magog, they will spread over the earth like locusts. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The Almighty will send down to the prophet Jesus a revelation [in which it will be said]:“ I brought such My servants, with whom no one is able to fight, hide My servants on the mountain Tour!" [After that] Allah will send Yajuj and Majuj, and they will rush from every hill” (Sahih Muslim).

The tribes of Gog and Magog will be so numerous that when the last person walking in their horde passes by the lake, the water of which the first walker drank, he will say: "There was once water here."

They will kill everyone who gets in their way, not reaching only the Muslims, who will have time to hide in fortresses and shelters. Then this horde will say: "We have destroyed everyone who is on earth, it remains to destroy only those who are in heaven." After these words, one of their warriors will launch his arrow into the sky, and it will return with traces of blood. They will consider this their complete victory over the believers. However, on the same evening, death will await them: “As for the prophet Jesus and those who will be with him, they will be besieged until any of them the bull’s head [seems more attractive] than a hundred dinars to any of you today. Then the Prophet Jesus and those who will be with him will call [to Allah Almighty], and Allah will send worms on the necks of [Yajuj and Majuj], and in the morning they will all be dead and torn to pieces ”(Sahih Muslim).

There are many remarkable things about this invasion. First, we are convinced that the prophet Jesus, no matter how great, always needs God's help himself. He will kill the False Messiah, "the most terrible creation until the Day of Judgment", but he is not omnipotent either, and will hide on Mount Tur from the advancing peoples of Yajuj and Majuj.

Secondly, such numerous tribes of Yajuj and Majuj, although they will bring terror to the whole earth and force people to hide on the mountains and in fortresses, imagining themselves as winners, will themselves die from simple worms. All that is required for this is the sincere prayer of the prophet. All this proves the power of Allah and the importance of steadily following His instructions.

Thirdly, Jesus will come with the help of the Almighty not only to defeat the greatest evil that mankind has ever faced in its history (the False Messiah and the tribes of Gog and Magog), but also to reveal the whole truth about God , put an end to all the lies that people invented about him, and also rally all the believing people of that time.

6. The disappearance of Islam, the Koran and the death of the best people

After the tribes of Yajuj and Majuj perish, the prophet Jesus will lead all the believers of that time. From the hadiths we learn about the prosperity that awaits the world during the reign of ‘Isa, about the security and tranquility that will come in these days. As the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Anger, enmity and mutual hostility will disappear, and when Jesus invites people to take something from the riches (as alms), there will not be a single needy” (Sahih Bukhari). In total, Jesus will live forty years, and then he will die, as every person dies, after which he will be buried in the ground.

After spreading to all parts of the world, religion will again lose its strength, and evil, on the contrary, will grow stronger and grow. In the end, faith will completely disappear, and the Koran will disappear with it, knowledge will leave, and Allah will take away those in whose souls the remnants of faith have been preserved. After that, only the most evil people will remain, and then the Day of Judgment will begin.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Then Allah will send a good wind, and it will grab them by the armpits and take the soul of every believer and every Muslim, and even if one of them hides in a cave, this wind will penetrate there too to pick it up. And the worst of people will remain, who will copulate in front of everyone like donkeys, and the Hour will come with them ”[Muslim, No. 2937].

7. Sunrise in the west

Among the signs indicating the coming of the Hour is the rising of the sun in the West. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The Hour will not come until the sun rises in the west, and when it rises in the west and people see it, they all will believe. However, this will be the very time in which her faith will not bring benefit to the soul, if she did not believe before or did not acquire good, being a believer” [Bukhari; Muslim, No. 157].

8. The appearance of the animal

This animal is also one of the signs of Allah. It will appear at the end of time, when evil will multiply, wickedness and vice will spread on the earth, and very little good will remain. This is the same animal that Allah mentions in the verse: “When the Word is done on them, We will bring out to them an animal from the earth, which will tell them that the people were not sure of Our signs” (Surah 27 “Ants”, verse 82) .

9. Three failures

In the collection of Muslim, among the signs of the Day of Judgment, it is mentioned that there will be three failures in different parts of the world: in the east, in the west and on the Arabian Peninsula.

10. Fire that will drive people to the gathering place

The last sign before the Hour is the fire that will come out from the bottom of the Gulf of Aden and drive people to the gathering place. We have already quoted hadiths in which the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) lists the great signs of the coming of the Day of Judgment and mentions ten such signs: “... and the last: a fire that will come out of Yemen and drive people to the place of gathering” [Muslim, No. 2901].

The gathering place, to which the fire will drive people, will be Sham (the territory of modern Syria, Jordan, Palestine). The fire will be the last to drive two shepherds from Muzaina to the gathering place. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “People will leave Medina, despite the fact that it will be in its best condition, and no one will appear there except visiting [its animals and birds]. The last to be gathered will be two shepherds from the tribe of Muzaina, who will go to Medina, shouting at their sheep, and find it empty, and then they themselves will fall dead ”[Bukhari; Muslim; Ahmad; Silsilat al-ahadith as-sahiha, No. 683].

As we could see from the above hadiths, the big signs of the Day of Judgment will come almost simultaneously, one will immediately be followed by another. During the reign of the Mahdi, Dajjal will appear, the prophet Jesus will fight with him, during his lifetime, Yajuj and Majuj will spread. This stage will end with the death of Isa ibn Maryam, as well as the subsequent exodus of all believers, whose souls will be carried away by a good wind. And the sunrise in the west is the first sign indicating the beginning of changes in the heavenly world. On the same day, an animal will appear, and the last event will be a fire that will drive all the remaining people to the gathering place. This is where Judgment Day begins.

“We have made you a community of the middle, so that you bear witness to all mankind, and the Messenger bears witness to yourselves. We have designated the qibla that you have faced before, only to distinguish those who follow the Messenger from those who turn back. It turned out to be difficult for everyone, except for those whom Allah led to a straight path. Allah will never let your faith go to waste. Indeed, Allah is compassionate and merciful to people.” (2:143)
From the tafsir of Sheikh Saadi:
“... only just Muslims are right.
Then Almighty Allah said that he ordered the Muslims at first during prayers to turn their faces towards Jerusalem in order to find out who will follow the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and who will turn back. This revelation refers to knowledge on the basis of which Allah can reward or punish His servants. Of course, Allah is aware of all events even before they occur, but on the basis of such knowledge He does not reward or punish people, since divine justice is perfect and since Allah wants to bring the truth to the attention of all slaves so that they cannot be justified by their own ignorance . When people do deeds, they are either rewarded or punished for them.
From all that has been said, it follows that Allah ordered Muslims to initially face Jerusalem during prayers in order to put them to the test and determine those who believed in the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and are ready to follow him under any circumstances. The believer is obliged to do so, since he is a slave who is dependent on the will of Allah and is obliged to carry out His commands. Moreover, in previous Scriptures it was reported that during prayers, the faithful will turn their faces towards the Kaaba. And so the command to turn his face in her direction should have increased the faith and humility of anyone who really sought to follow the truth. As for the sinners who turned back, turned away from the truth and began to indulge their desires, the sent down command only increased their unbelief and confusion, and therefore they began to justify their evil deeds with vicious arguments that were based on doubt and did not rely on true knowledge.
It turned out to be difficult for everyone to turn their faces towards the Kaaba, except for the true believers, whom Allah led to the straight path. They appreciated the mercy of Allah, recognized it and thanked their Lord for allowing them to turn their faces to the great mosque, which surpasses all other places on earth, visiting which is one of the pillars of Islam and washes away committed sins and transgressions. It was the realization of this that made it easier for believers to fulfill God's command, although for everyone else this command was a heavy burden.
Then Allah Almighty announced that He would never let the faith of Muslims perish. It is not fitting for the Almighty to consign to oblivion the faith of His servants. This is incredible and impossible, and the revelation of this is great good news for everyone whom Allah has honored by converting to Islam and the right faith. Allah will certainly keep their faith and will not let it fall, and His care is manifested in two forms. First, He guards the faith of His servants from disturbing trials, vicious views, and everything that can destroy, corrupt, or diminish it. Second, He increases the faith of His servants and inspires them to do things that increase their faith and increase their conviction.
Allah gave them faith when He first brought them into the bosom of His religion, and He will certainly keep their faith and show them perfect mercy, increasing their conviction, increasing their reward, protecting them from sorrow and annoyance. If Muslims are tested, their goal is to identify true believers from liars. Tests like these purify the faithful and reveal their truthfulness.
But there may be an erroneous assumption that the next command of Allah was the reason why some of the faithful renounced their faith, because Allah Almighty said that through this command those who followed the Messenger, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and those who who turned back. In order to prevent the appearance of such erroneous judgments, Allah said that he would never let the faith of the true believers perish, since the severity of any test is always commensurate with their faith.
Allah will also not let the faith of those faithful who died before the Muslims were ordered to turn their faces towards the Kaaba during prayers. At one time they duly obeyed Allah and His Messenger and were ready to obey Him at all times. This Quranic verse is one of the arguments of the followers of the Sunnah and the united community in favor of the fact that deeds are part of the faith.
Then Allah announced His boundless mercy and compassion towards people. Thanks to these qualities, Allah completed the mercy that He began to show to His sincere servants; made a distinction between them and the hypocrites, who believed only in words and whose hearts were not imbued with faith; subjected the believers to a test that increased their conviction and raised them to higher levels; and also turned their faces towards the most glorious and greatest mosque."

In the answers, a couple of living people, the rest are bots, near-religious garbage, as they say, let's argue about the taste of oysters with those who ate them

Muslim 28.10.2015 12:15

I read about this man, they say a lot of nonsense. They're trying to twist the facts... Knowledge of Islam is superficial because of this, many mistakes are made. In every lie, in order for ignorant people to believe in it, there must be a drop of truth. So this man claims to be Imam Mahdi. It is known from the hadiths that Imam Mahdi will be called Muhammad or Ahmad his father will be called Abdullah. He will be from the descendants of the prophet.
This is confirmed by numerous hadiths.
His name, according to the hadith, will be similar to the name of the prophet (ﷺ) (i.e. either Muhammad or Ahmad), and the name of his father, like the name of the father of the prophet (ﷺ) (i.e. Abdullah). Al-Mahdi, as far as I know, is not a name, but something like a nickname, meaning "guided on a straight path."
Dhul-Kifl

Hadith:
“Isa ibn Maryam (Jesus the son of Mary) will come down, and their (Muslim) ruler will say: “Pray with us (i.e. lead our prayer)”, and Isa will say: “No. You yourself are rulers to each other, respect from Allah to this community. (Musnad al-Harith ibn Abu Usama) (Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyya said: “This is a good isnad”).

Muhammad ibn Sirin said: “Al-Mahdi will be from this community (i.e. from Muslims), and he is the one who will lead the public prayer standing in front of Isa ibn Maryam.” That is, he must be a Muslim.
Hadith:
“There will be a disagreement after the death of the caliph, and a man from the inhabitants of Medina will run away to Mecca, people will come to him, make him a ruler against his will and swear allegiance to him between the corner (the black stone in the corner of the Kaaba) and the place (standing of Ibrahim).” (Ahmad, Abu Dawud, ibn Hibban, Abu Yaala, at-Tabarani). It is said here that he will be a resident of Medina.
Hadith:
“They will hide in this House, that is, at the Kaaba, people who will not have the strength to defend themselves, nor the necessary numbers, nor weapons, and an army will be sent to them, and when it is in open space they will fall into the ground” (Muslim)

Hadith:
“It is amazing, truly people from my community will go to this House (i.e. they will go to Mecca), in which a person from the Quraish clan will hide, and when they are in open space they will fall into the ground.” (Muslim) And many other facts in which he does not match the descriptions of Imam Mahdi. Look at books, videos of Muslim scholars about Imam Mahdi. Read hadiths about him. And you will understand why he cannot be .... .

There is no more revered place on Earth than Mecca. By all objective standards, this city is the most famous place on the planet. 24 hours a day, thousands of people walk around the Kaaba. It is located in the center of the Al-Haram Mosque. Her photo adorns the homes of many people, and millions of worshipers turn in her direction five times a day.

The Kaaba is the center of Mecca. This cuboid structure at the heart of the world's most visited mosque, Al-Haram, is shrouded in a black veil, and with it centuries of history. In this article, you will get acquainted with several facts from the past and present of the Kaaba that you may not have known yet.

10. The Kaaba was rebuilt several times.

The current Kaaba is not quite the building that was erected by the prophets Ibrahim and Ismail (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them). From time to time it had to be rebuilt after natural disasters and human destruction.

We all know the story of its main re-creation, when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was not yet a prophet. Then, with his quick and ingenious decision, he prevented the bloodshed of the Arab tribes, arguing among themselves about how best to rebuild the walls of the Kaaba.

Since then, the Kaaba has undergone reconstruction every few centuries. The last major one was carried out relatively recently - in 1996, when several stones had to be replaced, the foundation and the roof had to be strengthened. In shaa-Llah, this will last for many more centuries.

9. The Kaaba had two doors and a window, and the Kaaba was also multi-colored.

Initially, there was a door for entry and another door for exit. For a long time there was also a window. In the current version, only the door remains.

In addition, now we are accustomed to seeing the Kaaba wrapped in black kiswa - a cloth with gold inscriptions. But before her wall was decorated with different colors: red, green and even white. The tradition of covering the Kaaba with black cloth originated in the Abbasid era and has survived to this day.

8. To this day, one of the Meccan tribes manages the keys of the Kaaba.

Until the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), each rite of the Hajj took place under the control of one of the groups of the Quraysh tribe. Islam put an end to this practice: each pilgrim began to conduct his rites on his own, without asking anyone for permission.

Having conquered Mecca, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) received the keys to the Kaaba. But instead of keeping them for himself, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned the keys to Usman ibn Talha from the clan of Bani Shayba. In their family, the key was passed down from generation to generation for several centuries. Whether it was a caliph, a sultan or a king, everyone had to take the permission of this small Meccan family to enter the Kaaba.

7. The Kaaba was open to everyone.

Until recently, twice a week, everyone had the opportunity to enter and pray inside the Kaaba. But the rapid increase in the number of pilgrims and other factors made this practice impossible. Now the Kaaba is open only twice a year and only for special guests.

6. You could swim around the Kaaba.

The Kaaba is located at the lowest point of the valley and is surrounded by mountains, so before the advent of flood control systems, floods occurred in Mecca from time to time. For days on end, the Kaaba stood half submerged in water. Do you think this kept the believers from Tawaf (detour)? No way! Look at the photo - Muslims make the detour almost by swimming!

Perhaps we will not see such a picture live again. Although...

5. Inside the Kaaba, you can pray in any direction.

Many are interested in what is inside the Kaaba. People were content with eyewitness accounts, until one of the visitors filmed everything on a phone camera. And now anyone can find a video about it on the Internet (albeit shaking).

Inside the Kaaba - white marble walls and the same white marble floor.

4. There are two Kaabas.

In the skies above the Kaaba there is a place that is visited only by angels, it is called al-Bayt al-Mamur. It is mentioned in the Qur'an. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also spoke about him in the story of his night ascension (mi " raj):

“I asked Jibril about this House (al-Bayt al-Ma'mur), and he replied: “This is a House filled. Every day seventy thousand angels enter it, who will never return to it after they leave it "" (cited by Al-Bukhari and Muslim).

3. The black stone was once split.

Ever wondered how the Black Stone ended up in a silver setting? It turns out that the stone suffered in the Middle Ages at the hands of the Kurmutids (Karmatians) sect. They declared the Hajj an act of superstition. For greater credibility, they killed tens of thousands of pilgrims and threw their bodies into the Zam-Zam spring.

But even such a monstrous act was not enough for them. These madmen have stolen the Black Stone. No one could force them to return the stone to its place until they themselves did it 22 years later. They brought him broken. The silver frame keeps the Stone intact and does not allow it to fall apart (see photo). Historians say that not all fragments of the Stone have been found.

2. In the beginning, the Kaaba was not in the form of a cube.

Yes exactly! The most famous cube in the world started out as a rectangle.

So, initially the building also included a semicircular section, known as "Hijr Ismail". A few years before the beginning of the prophethood of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the Quraysh decided to rebuild the Kaaba and use only pure money for this purpose. Income from gambling, robbery, prostitution, usury and the like was excluded. Just imagine how much the Arabs were mired in sins, if in the whole huge trading city there was no money to restore the Kaaba to its original size!

The Quraysh agreed to a smaller version of the Kaaba, but to signify the original size of the House, they erected a small mud-brick wall called Hijr Ismail. At the end of his life, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) intended to recreate the Kaaba, but did not have time to realize what he wanted. In general, if a pilgrim prays in this place, then we can assume that he prayed inside the Kaaba.

1. Muslims do not worship either the Kaaba or the Black Stone.

You can often hear this question: why do Muslims worship the Kaaba? Others ask: Is it true that Muslims worship the Black Stone? The answer to these questions is the same: none of the Muslims worships either the Kaaba or the Black Stone.

In fact, the Black Stone only serves as an indication of where the detour around the Sacred House should begin, nothing more.

The Kaaba also tells Muslims which way to turn to pray.

When Umar, one of the closest companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), walking around the Kaaba, kissed the Black Stone, he said: “I know that you are just a stone, do not bring harm or benefit. And if I had not seen how the Messenger of Allah kissed you, I would never have done it ”(cited by al-Bukhari).

Thus, Umar kissed the Black Stone only because he saw how the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) included this action in the rites of the Hajj. Following the example of the Prophet, Umar made the pilgrimage as the Prophet himself (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did.

The history of the Kaaba is not just an interesting story from our past. This House is the most important place for all Muslims, wherever they are. At least five times a day, believers are sent with their bodies towards the Kaaba when performing prayers. And just as all Muslims are united during prayer, they need to learn to be united in life, uniting on the right beliefs and righteous deeds.
