Warrior

Warriors are close combat fighters trained in the art of weaponry. On the battlefield, they are fast and tough at the same time. Along with being able to deal significant damage, they are also able to withstand a lot of damage in order to protect other party members. Warrior skills depend on the generation of "Rage" (rage). In this they differ from almost all melee classes, with the exception of the druid, who is in the form of a bear. Fury is generated by dealing and receiving damage, with a maximum of 100 rage. Warriors have many talents that increase the generation of rage.

Overview
Warriors can switch between three fighting stances: Weapon, Fury, and Defense. Many skills depend on the type of stance. On the other hand, stances give the ability to change the Warrior's play style, allowing the player to respond with one or another skill depending on the situation in PvE or PvP.

The main characteristics of warriors are strength and endurance. Agility is also useful, especially during leveling, since items that increase the critical strike rating are only found at later levels of development. Premium content items for warriors offer a wide range of stats. Warriors who want to deal maximum damage gain a critical strike rating, armor penetration, or haste. Items for Tank Warriors usually contain options for Defense Rating, Block Rating, Block Rating, or Parry. Also very often, items increase hit or skill ratings, which can be in demand in almost every role of a warrior. Sometimes it is difficult to find jewelry or a cloak with the necessary characteristics, so warriors can improvise; for example, a damage-focused warrior can use items originally made for rogues containing agility and attack power instead of missing equipment items containing a strength parameter.

Basic characteristics

Rage
By default, a warrior's rage bar is empty. A warrior can gain rage by engaging in combat, dealing damage, drinking rage generation potions, or using certain skills. Most of them require a certain amount of rage to activate - this makes the warrior's rage equivalent to the mana of other classes. When a warrior withdraws from combat, the remaining rage slowly fades away until the bar is completely empty. The rate of its disappearance can be changed through the distribution of talents. The rage bar instantly resets when the warrior switches stances. Upon reaching level 20, warriors gain the Stance Knowledge ability, which allows them to generate 10 rage when changing stance, and Tactical Superiority, which increases the amount of rage they retain by 5 per rank, up to a maximum of 25 rage.

To gain rage, warriors must be in combat mode to use rage-generating skills. The longer the battle lasts, the more rage the warrior accumulates. This often leads to the tactic of building rage on a weaker target and then switching to a stronger one. A Warrior with max Fury can deal a lot of damage in a short amount of time.

Racks
A warrior has different stances for different situations. The effectiveness of a particular stance can also be determined by the distribution of talents.

Weapon Stance: The default starting stance for all warriors. In it, a warrior can use a balanced set of skills. Taunt temporarily switches opponents' threat to the Warrior, while Overpower and Retaliation are good for dealing damage. Some abilities used in Defensive and Fury Stance can be used in Weapon Stance.

Defense Rack:
it concentrates all defensive skills and a minimum of damage. Most effective for tank warriors. In a defensive stance, a warrior can use abilities such as Revenge and Taunt, which are good for maintaining aggro.

Fury Stance: Most of her attacks affect the warrior's own health. It's best used when someone else is playing the role of a tank and you need to deal as much damage as possible. In the Fury Stance, the warrior focuses on maximizing his damage potential by using skills such as Berserker Rage and Recklessness.

Weapons and armor
Warriors can wear any type of armor; armor becomes available at level 40. They may also use shields and carry any weapon except wands, idols, seals, totems, and manuscripts.

Useful Professions
Mining. Grants a passive +50 stamina bonus.

Herbalism. Gives the effect of healing 2,000 health every 2 minutes.

Blacksmith craft. Allows you to make additional sockets for gems in gloves and bracers, which in total gives +48 points of stamina.

Enchanting Gives the ability to apply the effect of enchantment +24 health units on rings, which in the end gives us +48 health units.

Leatherworking. Grants the ability to apply an enchantment effect of +90 health to bracers, and allows you to craft leg armor.

Jewelry business. Allows you to create gems of excellent quality that increase stamina by 41 points or another characteristic by 24 points, the maximum number of such stones is 3 pieces. There is also an opportunity to create one of the best accessories for a tank warrior.

Mechanics. Allows you to create some items of rare and superior quality.

Addons

TankPoints - this improvement displays the amount of damage a warrior can deal, his maximum level of health, armor, defense, dodge, parry, rating and amount of blocking, resilience, crushing blow chance, miss chance, reduced chance of receiving a critical hit, talents, stances/shapes and more. This add-on is good for picking up warrior gear.

SpellFlash - the improvement can be useful for novice players, as it gives hints about what the next skill / opportunity the warrior can apply by highlighting certain skill buttons.

Other information.
Warrior abilities that allow you to attack multiple opponents at once almost always trigger Argo.

Action bar.
Each stance has its own action bar. So when you switch stance, the action bar will also switch.

Screams.
Warriors have several warcries useful in different situations. All of them require rage, instant action and require some time to "recharge".

Battle cry (Battle Shout)- Increases the melee attack power of all party members within X yards by Y. Lasts Z seconds.

Intimidating Shout (Intimidating Shout)
- the warrior screams, causing opponents to run away in fear. It's easy to scare the Hoppers. lasts Y seconds.

Demoralizing Shout- Decreases the melee attack power of all enemies within the range of Hyards. Lasts Z seconds.

Challenge to fight (Challenging Shout)- This shout causes all nearby enemies to attack the warrior. This ability has a very long cooldown, so we recommend using it only in critical situations in order to save the weaker members of the group.

Basic abilities.

Heroic strike (Heroic strike)- A strong attack that increases the damage of the next hit by X.

Separation of armor (Sunder Armor)- Your next attack will reduce the enemy's armor. Armor can be reduced up to five times. Keep reducing the opponent's armor, thereby making him more vulnerable. This skill does not stack with Expose Armor , but does stack with Faerie Fire .

Shield Bash- An instant attack that deals X damage to the target, interrupting spells. Other than that, the opponent will not be able to cast any spells from this school for Y seconds. Cannot be used in a cyberberserker rack.

Cripple (Hamstring)- This attack deals X damage to the target and reduces its movement speed by Y for Z seconds. Use this skill to prevent your opponents from escaping. In addition, thanks to this skill, you will be able to escape from imminent death. Available in combat stance and keberserker stance.

Break (Rend)- After your attack, the target starts to bleed, taking X damage every Y seconds. Since this skill deals damage over a long period of time, it is recommended to use it at the beginning of the battle. Available in combat and defense stances.

Blood Rage- you sacrifice part of your health for the sake of rage. Best used in a group with a healer. Generates Fury instantly and additional Fury. Can be used in all racks.

Strong blow (Slam)- Strongly hits the enemy, causing additional X damage. Can be used in all racks.

Intercept- Strikes an enemy, dealing X damage and stunning them for Y seconds.

Retribution (Retaliation) - Instantly counterattacks the enemy that hit the warrior in melee within the last X seconds. You cannot counterattack an opponent behind you.

Execution ( Execute )- A finishing blow that deals X damage and converts each point of rage into X additional damage. Can only be used on enemies with X% or less health.

Combat stance abilities
(Battle Stance Abilities).

Assault (Charge)- This skill should be used at the beginning of the battle to generate rage. The warrior will quickly rush towards the monster, stunning it for a while. To use this ability, the warrior must not be in combat and be at a sufficient distance from the enemy. It may take you some time to figure out how to use this skill.

Roll of Thunder (Thunderclap)- short range instant attack. All enemies within this radius take minor damage and their attack speed is greatly reduced for a short period of time.

Over-strike (Overpower)- An instant attack that adds additional X damage to weapon damage. Can only be used when the opponent has dodged the blow. An over-hit cannot be blocked, parried, or dodged.

Mocking Blow- your attack deals additional damage and forces the enemy to attack you. This ability is ideal for saving weaker party members. The ability has a very long cooldown, so use it only in critical situations.

Defensive stance abilities.
Fighting stance reduces damage taken and dealt.

Shield block (Shield Block)- Significantly increases the chance of blocking hits with a shield. Can block one frontal attack at a time.

Disarm- If the enemy is armed, this ability will significantly reduce the damage they deal for a short period of time. Very long reload.

Taunt- an ability that causes aggro. When used successfully, draws the attention of the enemy, forcing him to attack you. If you are playing the role of a tank, we recommend using this ability regularly to "hold" the monsters. Naturally, there should be healers in the group.

Revenge ( Revenge)- An instant attack that deals additional damage. Counterattacks the enemy, dealing additional damage. Can only be used after a block or parry. Works best in combination with a Shield Block.

Berserker stance abilities.

Chopping ( Cleave) - A wide range attack that deals X damage to the target and its nearest ally. This ability is very useful if you are fighting multiple opponents at once.

Berserker Rage (Berserker Rage)- The warrior enters a berserker rage, gaining immunity to fear and knockdown effects. In addition, he generates additional rage when he takes damage. Lasts X seconds.

Recklessness- most attacks become critical, the ion gains immunity to fear effects. But damage taken is increased by Y%. Lasts Xseconds.

Tornado (Whirlwind)- You can attack up to X enemies within Y yards, dealing standard damage with your weapon to all of them.

Punch (Pummel)- An instant attack that deals damage and interrupts spells for a short period of time.

Combo hits.
Use a shield strike / block with a shield, and then attack with the ability "revenge" ( Revenge).

Education.
Any warrior needs to develop their skills with various weapons so that at any time you can change it if you find something better. Always carry several types of weapons in your backpack to keep practicing your skills.

Hints.

Join groups with healers (priests, druids, shamans) to keep you alive.
- Choose one or two types of two-handed weapons that you will use.
- Follow the rage. If you're fighting spellcasters, save some rage for a well-timed Shield Bash that interrupts a spell or heal that's currently being cast. Of course, if you use Heroic Strike, you will do a lot more damage, but if the target heals himself, you will have to start over.
- Try to plan your talents in advance.
- Protect your allies. Priests and mages are not designed to take on opponents. Use taunt ( Taunt ) to make the monsters attack you.
-
It is very useful to improve your skill with different types of weapons so that you can easily switch to another type of weapon if that weapon is better than yours. Carry different types of weapons with you (swords, axes, hammers, etc.), use them from time to time to increase your skills with them.

Adviсe:
Form groups with classes that can heal (Priest ( Priest), Shaman ( Shaman), Druid ( Druid), Paladin ( Paladin)).
Learn to use one or two types of two-handed weapon skills. (for example, two-handed axes ( Two-Handed Axes) and two-handed swords ( Two-Handed Swords))

Learn to control your Rage Rage). If you're fighting a caster, save your rage so that you can interrupt his powerful spell or healing spell with your Shield Bash skills at the right time ( Shield Bash) or Knock down ( pummel). One extra Heroic Strike ( Heroic Strike), of course, will cause additional damage, but the monster will be able to heal itself and, one might say, the battle will start from the beginning.

Test and plan the distribution of your talents in advance. If you want to make a ferocious near warrior with a lot of health points ( Hit points), you must choose the endurance parameter ( Stamina) and select defensive talents. If you decide to become an attacking fighter, then try to increase the Strength parameter (Strength) and weapon specialization talents.

Protect your allies in the group. Priest ( Priest) or Mage ( Mage) won't be able to withstand multiple monster attacks, so use your Taunt skills ( Taunt), Challenging Shout ( Challenging Shout) or Taunt ( Mocking blow) to make the monsters attack you.

Trading Skills

Ore mining ( Mining) and blacksmithing ( blacksmithing) - Allows the warrior to make weapons and armor for himself, and at the same time extract the ore necessary for this.

Herbalism ( herbalism) and alchemy ( Alchemy) - A warrior will be able to create drinks that will increase his parameters and replenish his hit points.

First aid ( First Aid) - A warrior cannot heal himself, so this skill will allow him to replenish his hit points even in battle.

Fishing ( fishing) and Cooking ( Cooking) - A warrior does not have innate healing skills, so it is very useful to use this bundle for cooking, which replenishes your life and allows you to save time to rest between battles.

Warriors are a class focused on melee weapons. They are strong and hardy, as well as masters of weapons and tactics. Warrior's special abilities are combat oriented. Unlike warriors in other games, in WoW, a warrior has many different skills and abilities that can be used directly in battle.

Warrior Options
When creating a new character, the player does not have the opportunity to choose the initial parameters. They will depend only on the choice of race and class

Strength - Increases melee damage. Strength does not affect the chance of landing critical hits. Strength does not affect the chance to block, but does affect damage absorption while blocking. This value depends partly on the strength, and partly on the properties of the shield.
- Agility (Dexterity) - increases damage in ranged combat, increases the chance to inflict a critical hit, affect the chance of dodge, and the amount of protection and armor (defense and armor) directly depends on it.
- Stamina (Stamina) - Increases the character's life (Health points). Intellect (Intelligence) - Increases the value of mana and affects the chance of inflicting critical damage with magical spells. Intelligence affects the chance of increasing melee skills (dodge, parry, block).
- Spirit (Spirit) - Increases the rate of regeneration of mana and life. This parameter also allows you to increase the skill of wielding certain weapons. * Ranged damage is affected by Agility, melee damage is affected by both Agility and Strength.

Advantages:
1. A warrior can wear any armor and use almost all types of weapons.
2. Warrior takes more damage than any other class.
3. Possesses good close range fighting skills.
4. Large selection of uniforms.
5. Easily deals with monsters.
6. Can be good at pulling, tanking, and dealing damage thanks to various fighting stances.
7. Possesses a variety of abilities to distract opponents towards himself.

Disadvantages:
1. Having no healing skills, relies on food, recovery potions and other players.
2. Very dependent on the armor and weapons used.
3. Limited ability to attack from a distance.
4. A small number of group buffs.

Available races:
human, dwarf, night elf, gnome, orc, tauren, undead, troll

Standard bars:
Health/Anger

Available equipment:
- rag clothes (Cloth),
- leather armor
- mail armor (Mail),
- plate armor (Plate),
- Shields

Available weapons: - one-handed and two-handed axes (One and Two-Handed Axes),
- swords (Swords), hammers (Maces),
- daggers (Daggers) and
- throwing weapon(Thrown)

Rage:
The warrior has a red bar of anger (a strip, it's like a mana bar, mages.). He is recruited during the battle. The more damage you deal, miss, or prevent, the more anger builds up. The warrior also has special abilities to gain anger. Wrath is needed to use abilities that are not available outside of combat. Accordingly, for each special attack, a certain amount of anger is needed. If the battle is over, then the anger begins to slide to 0. Also, the warrior will lose all the accumulated anger if he changes the combat stance.

Racks (Stances):
A warrior has different stances to fight with, these will determine the abilities that will be available in combat. There are special buttons for switching racks. If you switch stances during a fight, all of your accumulated anger will evaporate. There is usually no need to switch stances during combat, as they are all designed for different situations:

Battle Stance (combat stance) is mainly used for solo battles, as it increases the level and attack speed.
- Defensive Stance (defensive stance) gives less attack skills, but gives the warrior a large amount of defense. This is primarily used if you have the "tank" role in the group.
- Berserker Stance (berserker stance) increases the chance of a critical hit on the enemy, but using it you take more damage. Good to use in a group if there is another tank warrior (Defense specialization).

Special panel attacks (Action Bar):
Each stance has its own special attack bar. When you switch the stance, the panel of special attacks also changes.

Punch links:
Use Shield Bash/Shield Block and then use the Revenge skill.

Weapon skill training:
It is very useful to improve your skill with different types of weapons so that you can easily switch to another type of weapon if that weapon is better than yours. Carry different types of weapons with you (swords, axes, hammers, etc.), use them from time to time to increase your skills with them.

class role
A warrior can play the role of a defender or a tank, inflict serious damage, or alternately do both. The abilities of the Warriors are designed mainly for close combat, but they can be used in completely different situations and groups. Generally speaking, the Warrior class is intended primarily for those who cannot live without melee weapons.

Adviсe:
1. Unite in groups with classes that can heal (Priest, Shaman, Druid, Paladin).
2. Learn to use one or two types of two-handed weapon skills. (for example, Two-Handed Axes and Two-Handed Swords)
3. Learn to control your Rage! If you are fighting a caster, save your Wrath so that you can interrupt his powerful spell or healing spell with your Shield Bash or Pummel skills at the right time. One extra Heroic Strike, of course, will cause additional damage, but the monster will be able to heal itself and, one might say, the battle will start from the beginning.
4. Test and plan the distribution of your talents in advance. If you want to make a close range ferocious warrior with a lot of Hit points, you should opt for Stamina and choose defensive talents. If you decide to become an attacking fighter, then try to increase the parameter Strength (Strength) and specialization talents in weapons.
5. Protect your allies in the group. A Priest or Mage won't be able to withstand multiple monster attacks, so use your Taunt, Challenging Shout, or Mocking Blow skills to make the monsters attack you.

Trading Skills
o Mining and Blacksmithing - Allows a warrior to make weapons and armor for himself, and at the same time extract the ore necessary for this.
o Herbalism and Alchemy - A warrior will be able to create drinks that will increase his parameters and replenish his hit points.
o First Aid - A warrior cannot heal himself, so this skill will allow him to replenish his hit points even in combat.
o Fishing and Cooking - Warriors don't have innate healing skills, so it's very useful to use this combo for cooking, which replenishes your life and allows you to save time to rest between battles.

Warrior combat skills
Combat skills are acquired from special trainers for money. Each skill can only be bought from a certain level. Also, most skills have multiple ranks. With each rank, the effect of using the skill increases. If you have, for example, Heroic Strike rank 1, then you will not be able to purchase Heroic Strike rank 3 until you have this skill rank 2. There are also several skills that you receive as a reward for completing a quest or get for free when creating a character.

The Defense Warrior is a classic tank in the world of Azeroth. Hardy and strong - a reliable support for his allies. Uses his melee skills to hold opponents, wielding a shield and one-handed weapons. Learn how to play and win as a Tank Warrior in our WoW guide.

Introduction

Let's look at the strengths and weaknesses of this specialization:

Pros:

  • Requires minimal third-party healing when receiving static damage
  • Low recovery time for defensive abilities
  • Great damage without loss of survivability
  • High mobility
  • Ability to reflect spells
  • Can often reduce an ally's incoming damage by 30%

Minuses:

  • Vulnerable to heavy, unblockable physical damage
  • Has a small amount of health

Basic information on the spec:

The “Protection” Warrior has one main resource, like all other specs of this class - rage. As a tank, a warrior is focused on minimizing incoming damage as much as possible, since he has no way to replenish lost health.

WoW for Russian players initially existed only in foreign languages, since the native language of the game is English, many terms are still formed from the English names of established mechanics and many abilities.

Agro- (from the English “aggravation”, which means irritation) in the game is used to indicate the desire of the enemy to beat someone. The more aggro, the higher the chance of being a victim of enemy attacks.

AoE- (from the English. Area of Effect) literally - this is the area on which the effect occurs, whether damage is inflicted in this area, or healing is performed - it does not matter. Usually this abbreviation is used as a command to deal damage to a group / raid on several targets. It is also used to describe any boss ability with the above effect.

buff- positive effect. By default, it is displayed to the left of the minimap along its top edge.

Burst- (from English Burst), an ability that gives various ways to inflict a large amount of damage in a short time.

gir- (from the English. Gear) in fact - this is equipment.

GKD- (short for Global Cooldown) is the total cooldown time of abilities.

Debuff- a negative effect. By default, it is displayed to the left of the minimap along its bottom edge.

DoT- (from English Damage over Time) is an effect that deals damage over time

DPS- (from the English. DPS - Damage per Second) is a value that displays the damage done per second.

cleve- (from English Cleave) the ability to deal damage to secondary targets, through causing damage to the main target while not having loss (or with minimal loss) on the main one.

cooldown- (from the English Cooldown, you can often find the abbreviation "CD", or "cdshki"), the main meaning is the cooldown of the ability. Also often used in relation to bursts or various defensive abilities.

Miles and range zone- (from the English Melee and Ranged, respectively) Miles - means a melee zone, also used to name all classes / specs that deal effective damage directly in this zone. Range (you can also see "range") - usually means a zone that is not a melee zone, and, accordingly, is also used to name all classes / specs that can deal effective damage from a distance.

Mitigation- more often used in combination with active mitigation (from the English. Active Mitigation), which means reducing or mitigating incoming damage, requiring the use of certain abilities with a short duration, but with a small cooldown. The developers started using this ability model in the Mists of Pandaria, so this is already an established term for any class with a tank specialization.

Trait- (from the English Trait) the name of the “talents” of yourazerite armor.

Talents

General information. Upon reaching several new levels, new “tiers” of talents will open up for you. In each such line, you can select only one talent at a time. Talents can affect abilities in different ways: add new ones, replace old ones, passively modify various effects and spells. You can change talents while in sanctuaries or in any rest areas, however, if there are no such places nearby, you can use “Tome of a Tranquil Mind” , which will allow you to change talents within a minute. Talents cannot be changed in combat. The talent cannot be changed if the talent selected in this tier is on cooldown, you will first have to wait for it to be restored.

Tier 1. 15 lvl

Azerite traits

Sets have been removed from BFA, and “Azerite Armor” has been added in their place. Now in any honor / head / shoulders there are several rings in which you have to choose one or another talent.

  • Bloody sport . " pain tolerance » Blocks additional damage and increases your self-healing for 8 sec. One of the few really useful survivability traits of a warrior if you have trouble getting healed in a raid - our choice, also quite strong in m+
  • Bulwark of power. « Avatar » Increases your Mastery for 20 sec. and immediately applies the effect "pain tolerance ". An excellent trait that gives us a lot of mastery for the duration of the Avatar, which strengthens our block, as well as increases our damage. A good choice for both m+ and raids.
  • deafening peal. « Thunderclap » deals additional damage and extends the duration of your «demoralizing scream » on hit enemies for 2 sec. up to 6 sec. With the talent Tinned Throat ” is required to be in traits, besides, it enhances our ability, which deals the main damage, both in a single battle and in AOE. It is desirable to have at least 1 such trait.
  • Insidious agreement . This talent provides strength, but has its drawbacks, for example, if health drops below 50%, it stops working and becomes useless, and if health drops below 20%, it starts to work at a loss, and provides a debuff in which we We take 15% more damage. If you want to damage the boss, then this trait is great, a tank warrior rarely drops below 50% health due to blocks, as well as absorption, but be careful, I don’t advise taking this trait on bosses that haven’t been killed yet, because there may be a problem with survival, which will negatively affect the nerves of the RL.
  • Bound souls . Your spells and abilities can buff us with Soul Link. The action time is 15 seconds. While Soul Link is active, every 5 sec. You and your nearest ally are healed and buffed to Haste for 5 seconds. An excellent trait that gives haste, as well as heals us, and besides, it procs quite often. So in the absence of other options, it will be an excellent choice.

Game process

Let's take a look at dealing damage first, as it directly affects your rage generation.

Main priorities:

  1. Shield Bash per CD and per proc
  2. revenge, when if the boss is tanking another tank
  3. Thunder Clap per CD
  4. Revenge , if there is a use for free use
  5. crush

* Don't forget to use Interception , so it also generates rage, but do not use it if it will cause the boss to turn or move undesirably

On AoE from 3+ targets:

Hello dear fans of such game as World of Warcraft. Today I want to tell you about such a character as Arms var, because I consider the furies of var to be a rather dull and boring character for gamers. Warriors are a class that is designed to fight only in melee tactics. Their main feature is that they have the ability to deal a lot of damage, as well as absorb a lot of oncoming damage. Also, warriors have the ability to wear very powerful protection in the form of plate armor, first-class shields and have a good set of abilities that make the warrior almost invulnerable.

Many players have the opinion that the Arms var is not intended for raids at all, and if you want to give out top DPS in raids, then the Arms var is not suitable for you. However, after BC left the stage, all warriors started tanking the dungeons, and those who remained DPS were running around with two axes. Since the percentage of players who had a spec with two axes was critically small, this gave the impression that the war in arms was not only dull, but also spoiled the entire raid with its presence. I also got the impression that the arm spec is PvP, so "sinter in the fury !!!".

  1. War in arms does not have its own buff, but can hang a buff like a rogue.
  2. Arms gives out much less DPS than war furies. The reason for this is hast and BL. Since the fury var receives an increase in DPS from the hast, the hast plays almost no role for the arms.
  3. Why do you need to "show off" and squeeze out complex button combinations when you can run calmly.
  4. Wild collection of aggro. It's just very strange where it's coming from if the armor var doesn't damage.
  5. Arms can't knock down casts.

pros:

  • It is very easy to get the ARP cap.
  • There is no need for you to collect a cap of expertise that is unnecessary in Arms.
  • Arms is much easier to dress cool than fury wara, since arms does not depend on ap and strength, unlike furies.
  • The whole process when you deal damage is a lot of fun, since the fury has the whole process of combat by the dull poking of three buttons.
  • Huge aggro that will allow you to help out a tank in a raid in difficult times when using an addon like Omen.

Minuses:

  • Arms var is very dependent on arp.
  • Not just a rotation.
  • There is no possibility to bring down the cast. When choosing a race, I do not advise you to play as humans or orcs - I will explain everything to you later.

1. Characteristics

You need to try to get 90% of the ARP, so the combat stance will give you another 10%.
Having 4 pieces of T10 - 264, then you should not refuse 2x T9 - 245-258, as this will raise the armor penetration rating well and give 8% to accuracy.
You simply do not need such a talent as mastery, so its complete absence will not have any effect on your combat skills.

Var arms does not have rotation as such. The whole process is to wait for the procs and pray "Let the deep wounds not fall." But, in short, the whole thing is something like this: we always use mortal strike if you have a lot of ragi; bloodletting should always hang on the enemy; if you don't have rage, use bludgerage; if you have a CD hanging on all the machines, and there is no way to proc anything anymore, only then use Slam; to get rid of a large excess of rage, use the hero's blow; if you have the second build downloaded, then use the whirlwind always on CD.

3. Ability

  • Bleed - This debuff should always hang on the boss, or any other target during combat. It constantly damages with a frequency of three seconds, so constantly refresh it in the last seconds. At the same time, do not rush and do not be late, otherwise you will lose DPS. The Doom Cooldown Pulse addon will help you with this, which can also be downloaded from the addons section on our website. Also, it would not hurt to pay all attention to excellent raid addons.
  • Sudden Death is a proc for an Arms War ability like Execute. Allows you to hit well with a progressive probability, somewhere around 3, 6, 9%, it all depends on how you upgraded your talent. Also, after you use Execute, you still have 10 units of ragi. In the rotation, the Execute ability takes first place. We always press it for good.
Keep in mind that when the cooldown of "Mortal Strike" and the proc of "Sudden Death" coincide - if you have more than 40 units of rage, then first we hit with a mortal, and then we use the death penalty. Everything will depend only on your experience and the amount of gear you have accumulated. If your gear has excellent rage regeneration, then you won't feel much of a difference.
  • Taste of Blood - This ability is the second highest priority. You may not use it right away. This ability has 6 seconds on internal cooldown and hangs on the opponent for 9 seconds. This proc has no dependency on the Overpower proc, which constantly procs when a boss or mob tries to dodge.
  • Mortal Strike - That's it for the Arms War. If you are poorly dressed, you will drain your rage, if you have a good gear, then this is one of the strongest DPS abilities.
  • Powerful blow - press "Rage drain" and "Strike with cast". In the second, its base use lasts only a second and a half. If you took the talent, then the use time is reduced to 0.5 seconds. We strike at a time when you have all the other machines on cooldown and you have more than 40 units of rage left. If you have a weapon with a hitting speed of 3.4, then the character manages to hit the boss or mob twice. After that, the character should have an auto-attack, after which your rage will be restored so that you can deliver the next blow.
  • Hero Strike - if you have such a talent as "Awakening", then "Hero Strike" becomes your main ability in order to constantly drain rage. Use if you have more than 70 rage. Also, "Hero Strike" can be used on bosses instead of a powerful blow when constantly jogging to one place or another.
  • Execution - If the boss has only 20% health left, then this ability turns into a new ability in order to drain rage. First we hang up "Bleeding" and it is necessary to constantly maintain it during the battle, then proc "Execution" and after "Superiority", then "Mortal Strike", but now we do not pay attention to "Slam" and "Heroic Strike" and constantly proc "Execution ". Also, do not forget to constantly control your rage.
  • Blade Whirlwind - It is mainly used immediately after the pool, in order to then begin to perform the main rotation. In order for you to get the debuff from bleeding, use Bladestorm in packs of mobs on trash, where the AoE damage of sweeping movements constantly prevails.
  • Thunder Clap - as I told you, if the build has "Awakening" and "Improved Thunder Clap", then it becomes like an AoE ability with excellent damage.
  • Sweeping blows - use on bosses when there are 2 or more targets in the battle.
  • Crushing Throw - many Arms warriors simply forget about this ability, but in vain. She is able to increase DPS not only personal, but also the entire raid as a whole. Has a cooldown of 5 minutes. If the fight will be short, then use this ability in the execution phase, if the fight will go on for more than 5 minutes, then we will proc it during the pool and a second time in the execution phase.
  • Heroic Throw - When you constantly have to move away from a boss or enemy, then Heroic Throw helps to constantly maintain Bleed on the mob. Many gamers also often forget about this ability.

4. Talents

This build is mainly geared towards raid dungeons. Here, instead of the commander's voice talent, it's better for you to pump in an improved execution or an improved stance. But keep in mind, in the stance there will be + 2% to strength, but expertise will also be added, which is not very good. So it's up to you to choose. We pump five talents into the weapon with which you will constantly run. I'll give you a little hint: only BL is cooler than the Tomb Builder, as it will give you a free + 15% to arp.

This build will obviously be easier for you. It is more suitable for heroics, as well as for places where you need to fill in large heaps of trash. Here all the amenities are thought out for you: by turning on the “Whirlwind”, you can drink a cup of coffee, and again join the battle, scattering the mobs in different directions.

Is it difficult for you to play Warrior? You have come to the right place; Warrior is a very simple but at the same time complex class, and many do not know how to play it properly. Warriors are known for their tanking skills but don't underestimate them as they are very strong in PvP and can take down an enemy in a few powerful hits.

Steps

Choose a race. To be honest, it doesn't play a big role. Only if you are serious about PVE/PVP there are some skills that can be useful.

    • Human is a great PVP class. They receive a 10% reputation bonus and 3+ expertise rating for swords and clubs. They have the best PvP racial ability, Every Man for Himself, which removes slows and traps. This is similar to PVP trinkets, thus giving people the option to wear an extra trinket.
    • Dwarf - has a stone form that removes the effects of bleeding, poison and disease and increases armor by 10% for several seconds. Also, +10 Ice Resistance.
    • Draenei - has a very strong racial skill - a passive aura that increases the chance of hitting a target by 1%, whether it be with weapons or spells. 1% is an important bonus in raids and opens up the possibility of using other spells and stones. Another racial skill is Gift of the Naauru, which restores health for itself and allies. If you combine this skill with the skill of herbalism, then the restored health can greatly help in difficult moments of the battle.
    • Tauren is probably the second best PvP class for a warrior; you gain +5% base health, as well as the Thunder Walk skill, which stuns enemies within the radius of this skill. This skill is extremely important in PvP.
    • Troll is a great choice for a Fury Warrior. Trolls gain a natural regeneration bonus, which becomes important at higher levels. Trolls have the Berserk ability, which increases their attack and casting speed.
    • Undead - gains the Will of the Forsaken ability, which is useful in fights against high-level bosses. Warriors gain a similar skill, Death Wish, which works in any stance. On the other hand, Will of the Forsaken has some advantages. Cannibalism is a useful skill during quests, as you don't have to think about food to restore health. Underwater breathing can be useful during quests, especially when killing mobs (+200% underwater).
  1. Choose a talent branch:

    • Weapons - Most commonly used in PvP, but also in PvE when talents are properly chosen and combined with Fury. At lower levels, characters with heirlooms, especially those with two-handed weapons, may opt for the Weapons specialization, as the warrior has a large number of instant attacks based on weapon damage, such as Overpower. Attack speed and strength are some of the best stats in the game.
    • Fury is a DPS PVE spec that is rarely used in PVP. Titan Grasp is a very good skill that allows you to hold two two-handed weapons, subtracting 10% of the total damage. However, at higher hero levels, two-handed weapons combined with skills such as Whirlwind deal devastating damage to a group of monsters. In this specialization, hit and expertise are the most important stats, as well as strength.
    • Defense is a specialization for tanks. They take on enemy attacks while protecting their group members. Tanks are required for every dungeon. For a tank, defense is a mandatory specialization. Tank Warriors are one of the best tanks in the game.
  2. Keep up the rage! One of the most important conditions for a warrior is health, and then everything else. You generate rage by taking damage (which takes away your health), dealing damage, and using skills to increase rage, such as Berserker Rage. You can use all offensive skills to increase rage, as well as Charge to increase the amount of rage at the very beginning of the battle.

. ..Don't hold the rage too high! Maintaining your rage is important, but don't forget, if your skill adds 30 rage and you have 95, you'll only get 5 instead of 30. So spend your rage wisely by using the appropriate skills for the right fight. To reset your rage, you can use several options: refresh your shout, use Cleave or Heroic Strike. Heroic Strike is used constantly while tanking to increase threat and rage (since you are constantly taking damage and being able to use this skill non-stop), but in a DPS specialization, you might want to use Heroic Strike only when you have the maximum number of rage.

Dress in the right armor. Armor is to a warrior what spells are to a mage. You need armor with + to strength, stamina, armor, attack power and hit rating. Sometimes, you might think about critical chance, but this is not considered a priority stat. You don't have to worry about attack power and hit rating up to level 90. The more stamina, the more health. Health is very important. Warriors wear chain mail up to level 40, and then Plate armor. Armor is a very important attribute for warriors. Tip: Try to get some Armor starting at level 35-40. You can go to the dungeons or buy armor at the auction. The more armor, the less damage you take. After all, talents and critical strike can increase your DPS - it's not as important as the stats above.

  3. Always carry a shield and a one-handed weapon. They can come in handy in difficult, solo missions where you need additional protection and skills of this kind.

    • When playing at low levels, there are two dungeons that can help with tanking armor. If you go to Shadowfang Keep, you can get the Commander's Knight's Shield, which can last up to mid-30s, and then you can upgrade your item to the Commander's Shield from Scarlet Monastery.
    • If you're playing DPS (PvE), only use Heroic Strike when you have around 100 Rage.
    • Pay attention to the direction of your enemies' attack, don't turn your back on them and watch your health.
    • Warriors with low equipment can defeat other classes dressed in rare and epic items; everything is in your hands and skills.
    • Fury warriors have the Bloodthirst skill. An instant attack that deals 90% weapon damage plus 1121 to the enemy, and heals for 1%. This skill generates 10 rage. Fury warriors can deal an insane amount of damage in PvE.
    • Learn from your mistakes, if you are not sure how to proceed in a certain situation, then ask someone for help.
    • Don't forget that when you tank, you must protect the group from taking direct damage. Containing the threat is not the easiest thing to do. When tanking, use a defensive stance. Use skills such as Crush, Revenge, Shield Block, Armor Shatter, Thunder Clap, Heroic Throw, Punch, Disarm, Heroic Strike, Shield Wall, Demoralizing Shout and others. For solo targets or small groups, you can use skills in the following order: lower your damage dealt, lower your enemies' armor, then focus on skills that deal damage. Always use Shield Block and Revenge.
    • You can go to the Black Deep and complete tasks for the Outlaw Saber. This is a one handed weapon with 19 dps that will work better than two handed weapons of the same level.
    • Try to assign hotkeys to your keyboard. You will need this style of play, both in tanking and in PVP.

    Warnings

    • Tank only in the Defense specialization. Other specializations will not be able to generate enough threat to protect your group.
    • Use the Weapons specialization in PvE only when your armor is not the best. Once you upgrade your wearable clothing, try to go into Fury.
    • Don't forget that when you tank, you must protect the group from taking direct damage. Containing the threat is not the easiest thing to do. There are a huge number of videos with recordings from tanks that are in dungeons and raids. Watch them and learn the correct tanking tactics in all sorts of situations. When tanking, use a defensive stance. Use skills such as Crush, Revenge, Shield Block, Armor Shatter, Thunder Clap, Heroic Throw, Punch, Disarm, Heroic Strike, Shield Wall, Demoralizing Shout and others. For single targets or small groups, you can use skills in the following order: lower your damage dealt, lower your enemies' armor, then focus on skills that deal damage. Always use Shield Block and Revenge.
    • Use Weapons for PVP. Fury can also work, but Arms (Arms) considers it the best spec for fighting against other players.
    • If you play as an undead warrior, then remember that cannibalism allows you to raise your health to full (almost).
    • Remember: since a certain time, the use of the Defense specialization in PvP has been very common, especially on rated battlegrounds. This type of game differs in many ways from PVE battles. Look online for relevant guides and videos.
