Dark Souls 3 walkthrough of all bosses in order.

Judge Gundyr

Location: Cemetery of Ash

Reward: Coiled Sword, 3000 souls

Judge Gundir

How to beat the first boss? We approach him and pull out the sword from him. We immediately start hitting him, there is an opportunity to start causing damage even before he gets up and starts attacking you. This boss has a long attack range and can easily hit you from a long distance. If you decide to kite him, then you should move away, and if you fight close, then don’t be afraid to come closer. You need to dodge lunges and circular attacks, then immediately attack. After the boss has half his health left, he will begin to transform and become much larger, the range of his attacks will also increase. We stick to the same strategy and attack him after his attacks. When he lowers his right hand on the ground, we move away so that he doesn’t grab us. You can also strike while the boss is leaning forward slightly to strike.

Vordt of The Boreal Valley

Location:

Reward: Soul of Vordt from Cold Valley, 3000 souls

Vordt of Cold Valley

To make it easier to fight this boss, you need to acquire things that increase resistance to cold. When fighting this enemy, you need to try to stay behind and attack him in the back, because he attacks exclusively from the front and over a large area, and being behind him will make it very easy to survive. After the boss's health drops to half, white steam will begin to appear around him. In case the boss starts shooting ice balls out of the mouth, we move away as far as possible. We don’t change tactics, we repeat everything described above.

Curse-Rotted Greatwood

Location: Undead Settlement

Reward: Soul of the Cursed Great Tree, Transposition Furnace, 7000 souls

Cursed Great Tree

First, when you get to a location, you need to kill all simple enemies, then move on to the boss. After the boss comes to life, you need to start hitting the growths, they will be immediately visible. After this you will fall underground. Next, we go behind the boss and attack the growths again. When he rises, we move away. We run away from the yellow puddles, they do not do much damage, but they slow down a lot. We destroy the growths from the side, trying not to get hit by hand. All that remains is to deal with the growths on the legs.

Crystal Sage

Location: Road of Sacrifices

Reward: Soul of a Crystal Master, 8000 souls

Crystal Master

This boss is dangerous because he can shoot large crystal balls, despite the fact that they are quite slow and easy to dodge, they damage big damage. First we attack the boss, after which he will disappear and crystals will appear. Then the boss will sometimes begin to disappear and appear in different places, at this moment we will need to dodge the shots, and then counterattack. Next, the boss will have five balls above his head. As before, they fly very slowly, so we attack and dodge. At the last stage, the boss summons his copies, each of which will also attack you. You need to find the real boss and, dodging attacks, kill him.

Deacons of the Deep

Deacons of the Deep

There are a lot of enemies in this location, you shouldn't attack everyone, you need to find the one that is highlighted in red and focus on it. Moreover, they are all quite slow and will not cause you much harm. Ignore them and dodge. When the second stage comes, opponents will appear who will shoot fireballs at you, so it’s better to kill them. And don't forget to attack the main one. The “Left Eye of the Pontiff” ring, which restores HP during successful attacks, can make the battle easier. If you can't get through with your current equipment, then maybe you should put on heavy armor and take any two-handed sword, which will simply scatter the dead.

Abyss Watchers

Guardians of the Abyss

At the very beginning, the boss will rush forward and start the fight with a lunge. Most often he alternates blows with a sword and a dagger. At the very end he hits it in a circle. After a series of blows, the moment comes when we need to start hitting him. When the boss enters the second phase, he will summon mobs, which are worth noting are very nimble, but there is no need to be distracted by them. The fun part comes at the end when the boss dies. After the first time, he will be reborn and become even stronger. We also attack after his series of techniques, ending with a circular blow or a strong blow to the ground. If you move far away, the boss will make a powerful dash that is difficult to dodge.

High Lord Wolnir

High Overlord Volnir

Once at this location, you need to go to the light, the boss will be waiting for us there. He will come out to us from the darkness, or rather, his head and his hands. If you are using a shield, you can immediately remove it. You won't need it in the fight with this boss; it's better to take a weapon with decent damage. At the moment when the boss raises his hand up, you need to come closer to him, or move away as far as possible to dodge the blow. As soon as he carries out the blow, you need to counterattack him and hit the gold bracelets on his hands. When the boss releases black smoke from his mouth, run as far as possible. If skeletons appear, we ignore them and finish off the boss.

Pontiff Sulyvahn

Pontiff Sulivan

Location: Irithyll of The Boreal Valley

Reward: Soul of Pontiff Sulivan, 28,000 souls

Quite a strong and fast boss. We enter the room and he immediately rushes towards us. Able to make jerks to the side. Deals several blows with a fiery sword in a row, after which you can respond. With the second sword he makes lunges in the direction of the hero. The most convenient way is to revolve around the boss, constantly trying to get behind his back and periodically deliver one blow at a time. When the second stage of the battle begins, the boss will kneel and throw you away with magic. When his summoned shadow (or something similar) begins to appear, it will be time to hit the boss a few times. The shadow will be in the way, but you don't have to focus on it. The boss will start striking after the jump, so when he jumps, we avoid the attack.

Old Demon King

Old Demon King

The boss is optional. For combat you will need armor with resistance to fire and physical damage. If you go in and immediately start hitting the boss, you can deal a lot of damage. The boss will attack with his weapon and fire waves from the front. We dodge the fire attacks and try to attack and stay behind. After the boss raises his hands up, fireballs begin to fall from the sky - we dodge. He can also make powerful circles of fire, we run away from them too.

Yhorm the Giant

Giant Yorm

Location: Irithyll Dungeon

Nearest fire: Defiled Capital

Reward: Ashes of the Overlord, Soul of the Giant Yhorm, 36,000 souls

First of all, we run past the boss to his throne and take the Storm Ruler sword. We take it with both hands and use (L2 (PS4) / LT (XB1)) special attacks. The boss is not agile and it is easy for him to get behind his back, passing between his legs. We spin around him and charge the attack. We wait for a good moment and strike. Often you can manage to perform two attacks in a row. In the second half of the battle, the boss will burn with fire and will be able to hit with it. We do not fall under circular attacks.

Aldritch, Devourer of Gods

Location: Irythill of the Boreal Valley

Nearest fire: Anor London

Reward: Ashes of the Overlord, Soul of Aldrik, 50,000 souls

The boss mainly uses magical attacks and close attacks with physical damage. He shoots arrows, which you definitely need to dodge. It’s better not to go too far from him. We try to hit the long body and move away when he sticks the staff into the ground. We attack after firing arrows and melee attacks. When he shoots from a bow, we run, but make sure that he doesn’t hit us with his staff.

Dancer of the Boreal Valley

Cold Valley Dancer

Location: High Wall of Lothric

Nearest fire: Vordt of Cold Valley

Reward: Soul of the Dancer, 60,000 souls

The peculiarity of this boss is that he has very long sword and moves in a circle. It is best to attack the Dancer from behind, while dodging her circular attacks and attacks from above. As the boss progresses into the second phase, he will have a second sword. Because of this, she starts doing more spinning attacks. After a series of blows we attack. We try not to stand in front of the boss - the blows from above are very strong.

Oceiros, the Consumed King

Oceiros, the Consumed King

Location: Garden of the Consumed King

Nearest fire: Cold Valley Dancer

Reward: Soul of Consumed Oceiros, 58,000 souls, path to the Abandoned Graves location, Path of the Dragon gesture

This is a fairly slow boss and not the most difficult boss in Dark Souls 3. He is quite slow and attacks with sweeping blows of his staff at close range. At the moment when he sticks the staff into the ground, we need to have time to move away, then smoke will appear around the boss. Sometimes the boss can jump on us, and we need to dodge in time. It's best to stay near the boss's feet, it's easier to dodge. It is often possible to strike before smoke appears. In the second stage Consumed King will begin to spin around on its own, it will also begin to move quickly and freeze everything while in flight. We try to stay under his stomach and hit after his attacks. It's better not to hide behind the columns - the boss will break them.

Dragonslayer Armor

Dragonslayer Armor

Location: Lothric Castle

Nearest fire: Dragon Barracks

Reward: Soul of Dragonslayer Armour, 64,000 souls, path to Prince Lothric.

Dragonslayer's Armor is one of the fast bosses in Dark Souls 3 (the only one with a shield), he can dash towards the hero, fights up close and deals very strong blows from above. After he delivered a series of blows, we begin a counterattack. You need to try to constantly run around the boss to avoid his attacks. After simple attacks from the boss, we do not deal more than one blow. We dodge swings in advance. In the second stage, balls will fall from the sky, we move away from the blow.

Champion Gundyr

Location: Cemetery of Ash

Nearest fire: Untended Graves

Reward: Soul of Champion Gundyr, 60,000 souls

At the very beginning, we attack the boss before he gets up. We try to stay behind or to the side, dodging his blows. The moment the boss kneels, we begin to attack him. In the second phase, the boss becomes much faster, and on top of everything else, he will start hitting with his arms and legs. We continue to attack in the back. It is better not to stand in the boss's way and constantly move to the side from attacks. We try not to stand still so as not to get hit by jumps.

Ancient Wyvern

This boss is quite unusual, and you can defeat this dragon with one blow if you wish. We run past the boss through the tunnels, go higher and next to the door (at the entrance to the boss) we go up the stairs. We walk along the wooden platform and jump down several times. We find ourselves on a ledge that is located above the dragon's head. Here you need to jump down and kill him.

Lothric and Lorian (Lord of Cinder: Lothric Younger Prince & Lorian Elder Prince)

Location: Lothric Castle

Nearest fire: Dragonslayer Armor

Reward: Cinders of a Lord, Soul of the Twin Princes, 85,000 souls

This boss is dangerous because of his teleportation skill. By using teleportation, he can appear behind your back. He is very dangerous because he can strike at a great distance and even make dashes towards the hero. We dodge his attacks and hit him during the break. You can try to stab him in the back. After the boss dies, the girl will resurrect him and team up with him. We dodge shots that can easily kill. We hit after the boss hits and carefully monitor the teleportation. If you killed the boss again, but did not kill the girl, then most likely she will resurrect him again. She definitely needs to be killed. Having defeated her, you don’t have to finish off the boss, he will die himself.

The Nameless King

Location: Archdragon Peak

Nearest fire: Great Belfry

Reward: Soul of the Nameless King, 80,000 souls, Titanite Slab, Dragonslayer Set (Helm, Armor, Gauntlets, Leggings), Nameless King Set (Golden Crown, Dragonscale Armor, Golden Bracelets, Dragonscale Waistcloth).

We activate the switch and, after the bell rings, we get to the boss. It is extremely important to dodge the dragon's blows in time and counterattack him on the head. In turn, the King will try to hit you with his weapon from the front. Try to stay as close to the dragon's neck as possible without getting hit by its wings. If the dragon takes off, then we don’t stand still, we avoid attacks from the air. After the dragon dies, the battle with its rider begins. The rider can also attack from afar or make sharp jerks towards the hero. After waiting for the moment, after he delivered a series of circular blows, we counterattacked him. It is best to strike one or two times and retreat. Try to cover yourself with a shield. Lightning attacks will appear in the second half.

Dark Souls 3 final (last) boss. How to beat Gwyn the Lord of Ash.

Soul of Cinder

Location: Kiln of the First Flame

Nearest fire: Kiln of the First Flame

Reward: Soul of the Lords, 100,000 souls, opportunity to start NG+

This is the long-awaited final boss of Dark Souls 3. He is very dangerous and fast. Up close, it hits with circular and sweeping blows, and makes lunges. When the boss has finished a series of blows, we begin to hit him back, no more than 2-3 blows at a time, otherwise we won’t have time to dodge. When the boss enters its second phase, it gains knockback attacks. The difficulty of the game increases due to the fact that the range of his attacks will increase. Further more. He appears magic balls, from which you will have to constantly hide and dodge. Here you will need to attack more carefully after his magical attacks. After the first victory (we move away from the explosion), the boss will become even angrier, and the attacks will become even faster and further. Fiery sword swings are very dangerous. We retreat when he plunges the sword into the ground. We attack after such a series. We hit him several times in the same way. Moving away from lightning strikes.

Who from the colorful gallery of bosses in the Souls series did gotVG remember the most? Find out from our material.

Series Souls attracts players from all over the world for more than one reason. In worlds created Hidetaka Miyzaki, gamers can find not only increased (compared to most modern projects) complexity and a feeling of satisfaction from overcoming the next, seemingly impossible, level, but also a living and breathing universe with its own history and bright secondary characters.

However, the main representatives of the series of games from From Software are the bosses blocking the path of the players - truly formidable and memorable opponents, some of whom gamers may not “part with” for several days in a row. Today we will talk about the best representatives of this galaxy: it is worth noting that during the existence of the series Miyazaki and they managed to “produce” so many unique characters that all of them physically could not fit into this tiny list. Therefore, be prepared for the fact that among the top contenders for the title of the best boss of the games in the series Souls you may not meet your favorite villains.

When choosing the best, several aspects were taken into account: the design of the boss and the battlefield, the musical theme, the atmosphere, the correct use of game mechanics and, of course, difficulty.

Let's start, however, with those who couldn't make it into our top ten, but nevertheless deserve mention:

  • Maneater(Demon's Souls) - twin demons who took many players by surprise, acting as guards Old Monk, with their appearance they inspire, if not fear, then timid fears for their safety: monsters similar to chimeras with bat wings, a snake instead of a tail and eyes glowing evilly with green light will not let those who decide to imagine that they have perfectly mastered the art of combat get bored in Demon's Souls;
  • Gwyn, Lord of Cinder(Dark Souls) - about whether the once powerful is worthy lord of light to be called a proper final enemy of Dark Souls, many forum copies were broken: the sad musical theme and the highest (compared to any other enemy in the game) reaction speed to the gamer’s actions are worth mentioning here, but the ability to “parry” the final boss to death clearly does him no credit;
  • Burnt Ivory King(addition Crown of the Ivory King for Dark Souls II) - battle with the final boss of the latter DLC for Dark Souls II is memorable at least for its scope: before jumping into what feels like the very heart of Hell, you have to rescue four knights - they will help repel the bodyguards King and wall up the portals from which they appear. After this, he himself emerges from the flames. King of Ivory, which the player will have to deal with on his own;
  • Shadows of Yharnam(Bloodborne) - a trinity walking towards the player in a deep forest " Shadows of Yharnam“On their own, they pose virtually no threat, while together this trio can fray the nerves of even experienced players. Thanks for this is one of the main mechanics of Bloodborne, which ensures that the battle with each boss does not turn into a routine.

But enough about the “losers”: the time has come for the leaders of today’s top. We present to your attention the ten best bosses of the series Souls according to the editors gotVG!

Pursuer will most likely become the first truly serious opponent for players in Dark Souls II. During your entire playthrough, you may encounter him more than once or twice (four, to be exact), but the most memorable, without any doubt, is the first meeting with him: unlike most bosses, this one does not wait for you in a certain place, but “ flies" to meet the player on his own falcon. There are two ballistas on the battlefield that can be used against this floating knight. Be careful, however: when the enemy's sword lights up blue, stay away from him, otherwise you will avoid an instant Curses will be problematic.

It is quite possible that located on 9th place Flamerlurker from Demon's Souls - not the most formidable or large enemy in the series, but definitely one of the most terrifying. Imagine: you, exhausted, descended into the very heart of the mines, you were attacked by armored beetles and stone snakes bursting out of the ground, spitting lava, you want rest and warmth, but instead a fiery monster rushes towards you at an unpleasantly high speed, which during the fight not only does not become weaker, but, on the contrary, flares up (literally) with new strength, which makes it almost impossible to see him by the end of the battle.

Deep in the depths Dark Chasm of Old lives Darklurker- another optional boss of Dark Souls II. Getting to it is no less difficult a task than winning: to do this, the player must go through three covenant dungeons Pilgrims of Dark, at the end of the last of which he will be waiting for you - hiding in Darkness a kind of fallen angel, whose story remains a mystery to this day. During the first half of the fight, players have the opportunity to memorize the enemy’s simple attacks, while during the second half Darklurker creates his own double, who has the same set of skills as his “twin”. The game very competently allows the gamer to get comfortable in combat before “dumping” the second enemy on him. Thus, the success of this fight depends only on you - Dark Souls II has given you all the tools to fight for victory. You just need to use them.

The real Dark Souls begins here. Everything gamers have encountered up to this point should be considered training. The gargoyles guarding one of the awakening bells can rightfully be called the hallmark of the series and the first real test for novice players. Sincere shock (" How can I alone cope with two at once? giant monsters? "), which you experience when you first meet them, is more than compensated by the charge of acquired self-confidence when the stern defenders of the bell tower still fall by your hand.

In continuation of all games in the series Souls gamers had to come face to face with a wide variety of all kinds of monsters, the most dangerous of which is not some giant dragon, but the unpredictable mind of a player just like you. Imagine the surprise of the first demon hunters who reached the final boss of one of the Demon's Souls locations when they discovered that behind the smoky wall it was not just anyone waiting for them, but an aggressive invader who had inherited from elderly monk his golden turban. This fight largely serves as a test for PvP-suitability of players. It’s scary to imagine, but it might not have happened: by his own admission Miyazaki, the team did not want to use such experimental online mechanics in this battle, but the game designer insisted on his own, and we, in turn, got one of the best opponents in the entire series.

One can argue as much as one wants about whether Orphan of Kos an honest opponent or a super-aggressive fiend of Hell, who does not allow the player to make a single blow to him in his second phase, but what cannot be taken away from the orphan is his amazingly disgusting design. Nothing uglier and at the same time pathetic, we dare to assume, a series Souls I haven't seen it yet (the fact that instead of a weapon he uses nothing more than his own mother's placenta is just the cherry on this cake of madness). Despite the apparent unpredictability, understand the attacks orphans of Kos It's not that difficult, and once you do it, you can really enjoy fighting him.

Long before the events of the first Dark Souls in a small town called Oolacile A group of wizards searching for a way to master dark magic paid for their greed by digging up a grave. primitive man, who not only was not happy about the unexpected awakening, but became angry and doomed the entire city to death. Fight with Manus, Father of the Abyss, also known as father of the Abyss(the spread of which even the noble knight could not stop Artorias the Abysswalker) became the culmination of the entire expansion Artorias of the Abyss. Extreme reluctance Manusa“forgiving” the player’s mistakes, his magical attacks, from which an inattentive gamer simply will not have protection (except, perhaps, for a quick reaction), the design of the location and himself, as well as the story associated with it, make this battle truly unforgettable.

It just so happens that the only bosses from Bloodborne included in this list (spoiler alert) live in the expansion The Old Hunters. If this material was compiled before its release, then in this place there would most likely be Gherman, The First Hunter, however Lady Maria, guarding the terrible secret of a small fishing village, seems to us a much more interesting opponent for several reasons. Fights with other hunters can rightfully be considered the best in the entire game, because your opponent is not an enormously sized monster that can crush you with one blow, but a trained and nimble warrior who, like you, tries to avoid enemy blows, which turns the fight into exquisite dance of death. As with most bosses in Bloodborne, the fight Maria divided into several parts. However, unlike some, when moving to the next phase Maria does not turn into a completely different character with a completely different set of moves from the previous one ( Ludwig (The Accursed), Father Gascoigne). Instead, the game carefully prepares the gamer for its new, more aggressive and powerful attacks by demonstrating their basic options in the first part of the fight. Thus, thanks to competent game design, a great musical theme and the overall atmosphere, this battle ranks among the best in the entire series Souls.

When people talk about the difficulty of games in the series Souls, one of its first and main examples is the battle with Dragon Slayer Ornstein And Executioner Smough. One of them is swift and aggressive, standing among the elite knights of the Gwina, Lords of Light, while the second is a slow and clumsy giant, capable of sending an unprepared character to the nearest fire with one blow of his hammer. Together they form one of the most effective duos to destroy any type of chosen Undead: two opposites whose strengths complement each other's weaknesses. And, if you thought that by killing one of them, you would make your life easier, then you are deeply mistaken: not only will the surviving enemy fully restore his health, but he will also gain the strength of his fallen comrade. In case of death Smough, Ornstein will transform into a more powerful and menacing version of himself, otherwise the player will have to face Electro-Smough, also increased in size. The choice is yours.

One of the undoubted advantages of the series Souls, to which most gamers often turn a blind eye, is the history of its worlds and the characters inhabiting them. And the most tragic of these stories seems to us to be misadventures Great Gray Wolf Seth and his noble master and friend, Sir Artorias, once an elite knight Gwina, also known by his nickname Voidwalker.

According to the legend, Artorias together with his faithful companion Sifom was able to stop the spread Darkness V Olacile, having won Father of the Abyss, Manus. In fact, things turned out much worse: Artorias, unable to withstand the pressure Darkness, was absorbed by it, having managed to cover it before Sipha with his shield to save his life. The once noble knight himself returned to the city already possessed by the offspring Abyss, where he is met by the player, torn out by a mighty hand Manusa from the fabric of time.

Dark not only penetrated the soul Artorias, but also twisted his armor and his working left hand, so he waves his giant sword with his weaker right one. According to the dialogues that have come down to us that were not implemented in the game Artorias you can find out that he deeply regrets his defeat, for which he blames solely himself and his weakness. The main character needs to challenge the possessed Abyss knight to stop the spread Darkness in the town and free it from the curse. Doing this, however, is not as easy as it seems: despite the fact that Artorias lost part of his strength, power and speed, his blows are no match for him, and the newly acquired spells come from Abyss make the player's life even more difficult. In the end, the hero saves Artorias and his honor, marking the beginning of that very legend.

Several hundred years later (during the main storyline) we meet his friend and pet, Sipha, guarding the grave of his once noble master. If you managed to save Sipha in addition to before you met him at the grave Artorias, the giant wolf recognizes you and even manages to rejoice at your arrival before realizing its purpose. As a sign of gratitude for your salvation Sif obliged to guard the grave of his master and the ring that belonged to him, allowing its owner to cross the abyss. Sif remembers how it ended for his owner and does not want similar events to happen again. In addition, he swore to protect the grave Artorias from any attacks, even if they come from the one who once saved him. At this moment, both the hero and the wolf understand that, despite the events of distant years, they will now have to fight to the death. As a weapon Sif uses his friend's sword, with sharp swings of which he is able to break through the defense of even the most prepared heroes. Unlike most game bosses, who only become stronger during the battle, by the time Sipha There will be practically no health points left, he will begin to hobble on three legs and whine pitifully, making him feel like a real killer and monster at that moment.

Story Sipha And Artorias and battles with them in Once again serve as a painful reminder that the series Souls can be as dark and depressing as everyone thinks it is difficult.

Bosses are the most difficult opponents in the game. In this guide we will talk about ways to defeat them and the rewards you can get.

How to defeat the Asylum Demon boss

Required. The boss is located in the Northern Undead Refuge location. As a reward we receive 2000 souls (on the first kill), 10,000 souls (on the second kill), Demonic Hammer (on the first kill), Great Pilgrim Key (on the second kill).

At the beginning of the game, the hero has only a Broken Sword at his disposal; he can defeat the boss with it, but it will take a very long time. The boss is easily killed with black fire bombs if you take them as the initial gift during character creation. The third option is to kill the boss by jumping from above. To do this, you need to climb onto the roof and press a quick kick while jumping from it to the boss. It's better not to stand on the roof for a long time - the boss can throw you off. If your hero has a shield, we can block his attacks. If not, then we dodge the circular attacks. Mages and archers need to keep their distance and shoot him.

How to defeat the Taurus Demon boss

Optional. The boss is located in the Undead City location. As a reward we receive 3000 souls (on the first kill), 15,000 souls (on the second kill), Demonic Ax (not always).

The boss fight takes place on a narrow wall. Before the boss battle, I recommend dealing with the archers on the wall. When the boss appears, we run back, climb the tower and jump on the boss, striking while jumping. If there is a sword of the Black Knight from the Undead City, then the boss can be defeated with one such blow. Next, we either stay at his feet and attack or repeat the jump from the tower. But don’t linger on the tower - the boss can jump towards you. The boss is vulnerable to lightning and bleeding. If you took the Lockpick as your initial gift when creating your character, you can skip the boss.

How to defeat the Bell Gargoyle boss

Required. The boss is located in the Undead County location. As a reward we receive 10,000 souls (on the first kill), 50,000 souls (on the second kill), Tail-axe (if you cut off the tail), Gargoyle Helmet (not always), Bronze Halberd, Bronze Shield (not always), Double Humanity.

This is a fairly difficult boss for beginners, since after receiving a certain amount of damage there will be two gargoyles. Both gargoyles are vulnerable to lightning, but only the first one is vulnerable to fire. Before the battle, you can summon a couple of NPC phantoms - Soler from Astora and Lautrec from Karim (if saved from the dungeon). We attack the first gargoyle from the front, but don’t move far. When trying to cut off the tail, you need to be careful not to get hit. The second gargoyle breathes fire, on the contrary, you need to stay away from it. At least the first one is still alive. We try to keep two gargoyles at different angles. We finish off the second one close, after killing the first one.

How to defeat the Capra Demon boss

Optional. The boss is located in the Undead City location. As a reward we receive 6,000 souls (on the first kill), 30,000 souls (on the second kill), Key to the Depths, Humanity, Bone of Return, Demonic Machete (not always).

If you have the Black Knight Sword from Undead City, it will help a lot in the battle. We block his attacks with a shield, if we have one. First of all, it is better to deal with the dogs so that they do not interfere. The boss can be attacked by jumping from the stairs. But you need to be careful, the boss may follow you up the stairs. The boss can be bombarded with fire bombs.

How to defeat the Gaping Dragon boss

Optional. The boss is located in the Depths location. As a reward we receive 25,000 souls (on the first kill), 75,000 souls (on the second kill), Key to the Plague City, Double Humanity, Bone of Return, Great Ax of the Dragon King (if you cut off the tail).

If you took the master key as the initial gift, then you can skip this boss. Before the battle, you can call on a couple of NPC phantoms for help: Soler from Astora and Lautrec from Karim. The boss is vulnerable to lightning. Before the battle with the boss, you need to climb to the balcony above and kill the magician, otherwise he will greatly complicate the battle for you. The boss is quite slow, so you can easily avoid his attacks. We move away from his jerks, jumps and acid. To cut off its tail, you need to hit not the very end, but a little higher. Being at a good distance from the boss, you can provoke him into lunges, after which he will not be stunned for long. After such a jerk, we hit him on the nose a couple of times. For long-range heroes, this boss is even easier - stay to the side or behind your back and attack.

How to defeat the Stray Demon boss

Optional. The boss is located in the Northern Undead Refuge location. As a reward we receive 20,000 souls (on the first kill), 40,000 souls (on the second kill), a piece of titanite, humanity, and a bone of return.

The boss is vulnerable to bleeding, so it is recommended to take a weapon with this effect. If you are playing as a warrior, then equip a shield with good protection against magic. You can use a spell with protection from magic. As soon as we reach the boss, we first retreat, and only then restore our health. During the fight, we try to stay behind the boss. When the boss makes a magical explosion, we retreat. During his jumps, he does not hang in the air for long and falls down, immediately after this we deliver several blows.

How to defeat the Moonlight Butterfly boss

Optional. The boss is located in the Dark Root Garden location. As a reward we receive 10,000 souls (on the first kill), 40,000 souls (on the second kill), Soul of the Moon Butterfly, Humanity.

The fight takes place on a bridge, near which a butterfly flies. The butterfly is vulnerable to fire and lightning. The butterfly has no melee attacks, only long-range magical ones. We use a shield and spells with protection from magic. If you have light armor, then you can easily dodge. You can summon the witch Beatrice, who will greatly help in battle if you play as a warrior. When the butterfly crouches for a short time, we inflict maximum damage on it. The rest of the time we avoid her attacks. We move away when she makes an explosion. The boss can be bombarded with fire bombs. Archers and magicians will have significantly fewer problems.

How to defeat the boss Chaos Witch Quelaag

Required. The boss is located in the Quileg Possession location. As a reward we receive 20,000 souls (for the first kill), 60,000 souls (for the second kill), Soul of Quileg, Double humanity.

The boss is immune to fire and poison, but she is vulnerable to lightning. We will need protection from physical damage and fire. You can use the Raw Flesh spell, which will reduce fire damage. You can summon Mildred the Ogre, but if she deals the final blow you will not receive a soul. The boss actively attacks from the front, so we stay to the side and hit the spider's legs. Its most dangerous attack is a fire strike in the area, here it is better to run away in advance. When she jumps, we move away and strike when she lands. The boss is briefly stunned when hit on the head. You can shoot her with a bow, but it's quite difficult.

How to defeat the boss Whirlwind (Pinwheel)

Required. The boss is located in the Catacombs location. As a reward we receive 15,000 souls (on the first kill), 60,000 souls (on the second kill), Humanity, Bone of Return, Ignition Rite, something from: Child's Mask, Mother's Mask, Father's Mask.

Quite a simple boss. But for defeating him we can increase the number of estus flasks. Once we get to the boss, we first restore health after the fall. The boss creates copies of himself that disappear after one hit. But they can attack the hero. The boss and his copies attack the hero with slow magic arrows. The whirlwind is vulnerable to fire, and Paladin Leeroy can be summoned before the battle. It's best not to use target lock so that the camera doesn't jump when the boss splits into a copy.

How to defeat the Iron Golem boss

Required. The boss is located in the Sena Fortress location. As a reward we receive 40,000 souls (on the first kill), 120,000 souls (on the second kill), Humanity, Soul of the Iron Golem.

Before the boss battle, it is best to deal with the giant who will throw bombs at you. Good to use against boss big weapon and magic. The boss is vulnerable to fire and lightning. You can use the Lightning Spear; to do this, keep your distance and attack. It is better to stay at his feet if you are a warrior. But you need to run back if he starts stomping. All attacks can be dodged. You can run between his legs and strike from behind. You can circle around it counterclockwise. You can try to unbalance the golem near the edge, then it may fall off the wall. You can summon the phantom of Iron Tarkus.

How to defeat the Great Gray Wolf Sif boss

Required. The boss is located in the Dark Root Garden location. As a reward we receive 40,000 souls (on the first kill), 120,000 souls (on the second kill), Ring of Artorias, Soul of Sif, Humanity, Bone of Return.

The boss is vulnerable to lightning, fire and bleeding. You can use a shield or focus on rolling. The dog rotates his head well and hits with a large sword. So we try to stay between his legs. During circular attacks we try to roll under the boss. The wolf can jump and make dashes towards the hero, and you can also dodge them. If you wear heavy armor, you can safely block most of his attacks with a shield. On the contrary, it is better for magicians to stay as far away as possible. There is a rather long way to deal with the boss using a bow. To do this, we climb the mountain to the right of the foggy gate to the boss (after dying at the boss). We take aim and shoot at him for a long time. We leave 10% health and go finish off. Killing a wolf will not be considered a betrayal of the Forest Hunters covenant.

How to defeat the Tireless Warrior boss (Ceaseless Discharge)

Required. The boss is located in the Demon Ruins location. As a reward we receive 20,000 souls (on the first kill), 40,000 souls (on the second kill), Bone of Return, Humanity.

If the color of the boss darkens, then the attacks will be close (tentacles), if it flares up brighter, then the fiery breath will be used. The boss is vulnerable to lightning and magic damage, but is immune to fire. We equip the character with fire protection. The first way to fight. To do this, grab things from the altar and run to the foggy gate (very quickly). The boss tears off his own hand and starts reaching towards you. We hit him on the arm to make him fall. If you don't succeed the first time, then difficulties will begin. The boss will have to be lured out again. Another method is centered around a rock. We stand in the corridor, in the shape of the letter “L”, and lure out the boss’s tentacle. Thus, we hit the tentacle and run away. Some attacks can penetrate rock, so we use a shield. The third option for the battle is to simply loom in front of the boss, dodge the tentacles and hit them.

How to defeat the boss Gwyndolin Dark Sun (Dark Sun Gwyndolin)

Optional. The boss is located in the Anor Londo location. As a reward we receive 40,000 souls (on the first kill), 120,000 souls (on the second kill), Soul of Gwyndolin.
Defeating this boss will result in your hero leaving the Blades of the Dark Moon covenant. To get into the Dark Moon crypt, attack Guinevere near the “Princess’s Chambers” bonfire or discover the Dark Moon ring in the Catacombs and equip it on the hero. To fight, we put on a shield with protection from magic or light armor to quickly dodge. The boss attacks with several types of magical attacks. Some can be blocked, some can be hidden behind a column or rolled from. The battle takes place in a long corridor with columns on the sides. You can reach the end of the corridor and he will have nowhere to retreat. We run up to the boss and deal maximum damage before he runs back. It will be very difficult for magicians to target the boss in this fight. It's better to use spells that don't require aiming. The boss can be shot with a bow from afar by wearing the Hawk Ring. To do this, we aim and shoot above him. You can use poisoned arrows, you will need about 30 pieces.

How to defeat the boss Crossbreed Priscilla

Optional. The boss is located in the Painted World of Ariamis location. As a reward we receive 30,000 souls (on the first kill), Double Humanity, Priscilla's Soul, Priscilla's Dagger (if you cut off the tail).

We talk with the boss before the fight, she will offer not to fight. Killing a boss in the game world will be considered a sin. Boss weapons inflict a bleed effect. Therefore, you can take the Bloody Shield, the Ring of Bloody Bite or the Gold Embroidered Suit. The boss is vulnerable to fire and lightning. Since the boss will not attack you himself, we begin the battle by cutting off the tail. In the middle of the battle, cutting off the tail will be much more difficult. In order not to lose the boss when she is invisible, we navigate by footprints in the snow. You can shoot at it with a bow, the arrow will be visible for some time.

How to defeat the bosses Ornstein Dragonslayer and Executioner Smough (Dragon Slayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough)

Required. The boss is located in the Anor Londo location. As a reward we receive 50,000 souls (on the first kill), 150,000 souls (on the second kill), Humanity, Soul of Smough (if he is killed last), Lion Ring and Soul of Ornstein (if he is killed last).

These are two bosses at once. One is small and fast, and the second is large and slow. This is one of the most difficult fights in the game. After killing one of them, the second will restore its health and receive a boost. The reward also depends on who was killed last. Before the battle, you can summon the knight Soler. Both opponents are vulnerable to fire. In battle, we try to disperse opponents on different sides, but so that both of them are in sight. We attack only one before killing him, and then strengthen the second. Smough's most dangerous attack is a dash with a blow, from which we hide behind a column or roll. The rest of the attacks are easy enough to dodge. It's easier to defeat Ornstein first. His most dangerous attack is to rush towards the hero and strike. At the same time, he moves in zigzags. We hide behind a column from his lightning. It is also better to heal by hiding behind a column. In the second phase, Ornstein receives new blows, so as not to fall under them, we stay closer to the boss. We move away from his lightning and jerks. Smough charges his lightning strikes in his second phase. To avoid getting hit by his jumps, we run towards him and immediately hit him in the back. We hide from hammer blows by standing right next to the boss. Alternative way- is to use dung pies or poisonous throwing knives. But it's quite long.

How to defeat the boss Demon Firesage

Optional. The boss is located in the Demon Ruins location. As a reward we receive 20,000 souls (on the first kill), 40,000 souls (on the second kill), Demon's Staff, Humanity.

Outwardly, the boss looks like a Sanctuary Demon or a Wandering Demon, only it is on fire. You can avoid fighting the boss and move on without killing him if you get rank 2 in the “Servants of Chaos” covenant. The boss is vulnerable to bleeding. Stay behind the boss to avoid hammer blows and reduce damage from magical explosions. The boss can be driven behind the branches to the right of the entrance and shot with a bow or using magic.

How to defeat the Centipede Demon boss

Optional. The boss is located in the Demon Ruins location. As a reward we receive 40,000 souls (on the first kill), 80,000 souls (on the second kill), Humanity, Bone of Return, Orange Ring.

You can avoid fighting the boss and move on without killing him if you get rank 2 in the “Servants of Chaos” covenant. The boss is immune to fire, but the hero, on the contrary, will need protection from it. We use magic and lightning against the boss. You can use the weapons of black knights, which have additional damage. You can summon Soler to fight, but he may get stuck in the lava. It is better to fight on a large piece of land on the right. The boss has several heads, from which he spits fire and which can grow back when chopped off. Severed body parts come to life and attack the hero. During the battle, you can receive an Orange Ring with protection from lava and immediately put it on. Otherwise, we stand on dry land, don’t take aim at the boss, and hit him in the legs. It’s better to stay close to your left foot so that you have time to jump away if he jumps. The boss can grab the hero, before doing so he lets out a scream. In the second half of the fight, the boss will throw homing fireballs and jump with fiery explosions.

How to defeat the Bed of Chaos boss

Required. The boss is located in the Forgotten Izalith location. As a reward we receive 60,000 souls (on the first kill), 120,000 souls (on the second kill), Humanity, Great Soul.

We slide into the location with the boss. Here you need to deal with two large shining balls. To do this, you first need to approach such a ball, and then break through the branches protecting it. After defeating such a ball, the floor in the location will partially collapse. On the way to the first ball, the boss will attack with his hands. We go, covering ourselves with a shield. The second ball is quite difficult to get close to. It is easier to restart the game, since after the death of the hero the first ball will not light up. Branches can be broken from afar using a bow. After two balls, the area in front of the boss will collapse. We will need to jump onto a large root and go under the boss. This is very difficult, since the boss will actively defend himself. There is an alternative way. To do this, we immediately run forward, aim with a bow and throw a fire bomb at the branches. Then on the other side. All that remains is to go forward and finish it off.

How to defeat the boss Seath the Scaleless

Required. The boss is located in the Crystal Grotto location. As a reward we receive 60,000 souls (on the first kill), 120,000 souls (on the second kill), Humanity, Great Soul Fragment, Great Moon Sword (if you cut off the central tail).

You will have to fight the boss twice. Therefore, it is better not to go to him with a large number of souls. You can use a sacrificial ring. To avoid death, you can use the elevator. To do this, we send him down and jump onto the far railing. From there we make a somersault onto the balcony. The boss is vulnerable to lightning and fire, and his stomach takes more damage. For battle, we wear things with protection from magic. You will also need protection from curses; you can use the Ring of Cursed Bite. You can use the Silence spell or the Ring with a sleeping dragon to make it harder for the boss to notice us, he is blind. Before fighting the dragon, you need to destroy the crystal. If you manage to hide behind the crystal, the boss can destroy it himself. Once the crystal is destroyed there will be little time to cut off its middle tail. During the fight with the boss, it is better to stay to the side so as not to fall under his “crystal” attack. You should move away from his limbs and curse in the area. It will be easier for heroes who use ranged combat.

How to defeat the boss Nito Gravelord Nito

Required. The boss is located in the Crypt of Giants location. As a reward we receive 60,000 souls (on the first kill), 120,000 souls (on the second kill), Humanity, Great Soul.

Nito is the leader of the Servants of the Gravelord covenant. He must be defeated to complete the game. The boss is vulnerable to fire. If you use glowing objects, the boss will attack more with ranged attacks. Most of his attacks cause poisoning, so moss will come in handy. Before falling, you can use the Safe Fall spell on the boss. If you do not use the spell, it is better not to start healing right away, as a thorn will burst out of the ground. In addition to the boss, there are skeletons in the location, which can only be “finally” killed with a holy weapon. You can use Mist Ring and Slumbering Dragon Ring. After jumping down, it is better not to go deep into the caves, but to wait until the boss gets close to you, especially if you are using long-range weapons. We run around the boss and attack him after he strikes with his sword and tries to grab the hero. We are only afraid of his attack on the area.

How to defeat the Four Kings boss

Required. The boss is located in the Abyss location. As a reward we receive 60,000 souls (on the first kill), 180,000 souls (on the second kill), a Fragment of the Great Soul, 4 Humanity.

In order to move around the location with the boss, the hero needs the Ring of Artorias, received for defeating the Great Wolf Sif. You can call the Witch Beatrice to the battle if she has already helped you defeat the Moon Butterfly. Each next king will appear some time after the previous one. In order not to give the enemy a numerical advantage, you need to deal with the king as quickly as possible. While the defeated king disappears, he can still be beaten, causing general damage. Protection from magic will come in handy in battle. We choose weapons quickly. In battle, we spin around the boss counterclockwise so as not to get hit. If you move away, the boss will fire magic projectiles.

How to defeat the boss Gwyn, Lord of Cinder

Required. The boss is located in the Crucible of the First Flame location. As a reward we receive 70,000 souls (for the first kill), 140,000 souls (for the second kill), Gwyn's Soul.

The final boss of the main game. You can get to it by collecting other Great Souls and their fragments in the Great Chalice. You can call Soler to fight. While he attacks him, we try to inflict maximum damage. The boss dodges well and reaches the hero with his sword. The boss is vulnerable to magical damage and fire. We equip the hero with items with fire protection. It is also recommended to use items that increase the speed of stamina recovery. The boss will jump towards the hero if you move a decent distance away. From such a jump we roll away from the boss. Up close we dodge sword swings, kicks and grabs. You can base the battle on parries and critical hits. Or you can use a long weapon and try to deal damage through the rocks in the cave, but the boss may respond. Pyromancers will find it easier to use the Powerful Ignite spell. It is better for magicians to use Guiding Soul Clots, but when the boss is as far away as possible. You can focus on his jumps, provoke them and deal damage after them.

Bosses of the Artorias of the Abyss expansion

How to defeat the Sanctuary Guardian boss

Optional. The boss is located in the Sacred Garden location. As a reward we receive 40,000 souls (on the first kill), Soul of the Guardian, Security Lash (if you cut off the tail), Humanity.

The first boss from the Artorias of the Abyss addon. The boss can jump, throw lightning, hit with his limbs, poison with his tail and push away with his wings. We use bleeding and fast weapons against him. Or the Spear of the Silver Knight. Carved shield and armor with lightning protection work well. It is better to move as far away from his lightning as possible, since they have an increased radius of damage when they hit water.

How to defeat the boss Artorias the Abysswalker

Optional. The boss is located in the Olachil Village location. As a reward we receive 50,000 souls (on the first kill), 100,000 souls (on the second kill), Soul of Artorias.

The boss is immune to poison and bleeding. It's best to use physical damage against him. For protection, we use a shield (Great Shield of Artorias) or rolls. The boss can somersault in the air and attack the hero. If you successfully escape after this, you can hit him. The boss's dashes are dangerous, as they can take away almost all of your stamina when blocked. You can try to attack back. We jump away from his jumps with the sword pointed downwards, block with a shield or somersault forward. After this, you can attack the enemy. After several blows with the sword, it can spin around its axis, we move away. Periodically, the boss will charge its attacks, this can be brought down by several attacks on the boss or by using long-range weapons. An alternative method is a combination of Heavy Armor, Grass Shield and the Steel Flesh spell.

How to defeat the boss Black Dragon Kalameet

Optional. The boss is located in the Royal Forest location. As a reward we receive 60,000 souls (on the first kill), 120,000 souls (on the second kill), Ring of Disaster, Obsidian Great Sword (if you cut off the tail).

Huge ancient dragon. After the boss is knocked down, you will be able to fully fight him. We use physical and magical damage against him. The boss will receive increased damage from being hit in the eye. A crossbow is good for combat. For protection, we equip things with resistance to magic and physical damage, and put on a Silver Pendant. Most attacks can be easily dodged. Attacks in which the boss flies up and fires across the area are dangerous. If you don't have time to escape, cover yourself with a shield.

How to defeat the boss Manus, Father of the Abyss

Optional. The boss is located in the Abyssal Gorge location. As a reward we receive 60,000 souls (on the first kill), Soul of Manus, 10 Humanity.

The final boss of the expansion, with a huge supply of health. The boss has a weakness to lightning. He will attack the hero with physical and magical blows. For blocks we use a large shield or rolls, and a silver pendant will help against magic. You can call Sif to battle if you saved him. During the battle we revolve around the boss, even from behind it is better not to linger for long. In the last third of the fight, the boss will often use magic attacks. If we don’t use the suspension, we run away or somersault. Partial damage is blocked by the shield. An alternative way is to stand over the abyss near the wall of fog and shoot down with your bow, focusing on the red eyes.

This article presents detailed descriptions all twenty-nine bosses that play a fundamental role in Dark Souls II. Each of them has a unique appearance and characteristics, and also has its own strengths and weak sides, which you have to study in the process of complex and sometimes impossibly grueling battles in the name of victory. The recommendations in the article are presented mainly for players who have chosen the classic style of close combat with a weapon and a shield.

Navigation

The Last Giant

"The Last Giant"
Health: 2530
Souls:
10000
Things: Soldier's Key, Soul of the Last Giant

The Last Giant is the first boss you will encounter as you progress through the game. You will find it when you go down the stairs after the fire Main tower, and go through the door to the right of it. The elevator will lower you into a small cave, the fog in which will carefully guide you to the giant himself.

The safest place you can find in a fight with a giant is directly below him. Run under the giant and you will be out of range of his attacks. Like many other "big bosses", the giant will try to step on you from time to time. He hits three times in a row, switching legs. By dodging his attacks, you can meanwhile “saw” his other leg. After a certain period of time, the giant will get bored with this and will jump to the side.

If you find yourself within a semicircle from the giant, he will try to brush you off with his hand, and after losing half his health, he will finally “blow the roof off” and tear off his left arm, with which he will inflict vertical blows. Also, the giant will sometimes freeze in place and fall, trying to crush the player with the weight of his body.

To make your task much easier, you can call for help from a phantom who is located in front of the fog leading to the giant.

Dragon Rider

"Dragon Rider"
Health: 3170
Souls: 12000
Things: Soul of the Dragon Rider

Having served King Vendrick faithfully, the Dragon Riders once upon a time managed to ride dragons, instilling unique fear in their enemies on the battlefield.

The dragon rider wields a huge halberd, swinging it in a semicircle in front of him, lunging forward, and also delivering slashing blows. In addition, the Dragon Rider can also “move” you with his human-sized shield.

You can try to kill the Dragon Rider by shooting him with a bow from the bridge. Before you face him, it is better to deal with all the enemies that you may encounter along the way.

One of the simplest tactics for dealing with the horseman is to lure the boss to a cliff and force him to lunge. To do this, before the battle with him, do not raise the platforms, enter the arena and carefully move to the right edge of the bridge, without entering the circle of the arena. After this, wait until the rider comes up and lunges with the halberd and roll to the right side, leaving the rider to his own devices.

If you still decide to defeat the Dragon Rider in a more fair battle, then run next to his shield while holding the block. In this case, it is unlikely to hurt you.

Flexible hourly

"Flexible sentry"
Health: 3150
Souls: 14000
Things: Soul of the Flexible Sentinel

You will meet the flexible sentry in the hold of the ship on the Deserted Pier. It looks very frightening: from the lower back of this creature two armed torsos with arms and a head grow at once; that is why he is called the Flexible Sentinel.

A shield with maximum protection against physical damage, such as the Drangleic shield, can be a good help in the battle with the Flexible Sentinel.

Before the battle, you can also call upon the phantom Lucatiel of Mirra for help, whose summoning sign is located right at the entrance to the stone structure next to the platform on which the archers stand. While the Flexible Sentinel is dealing with the phantom, you can run up, deliver a couple of blows and jump back before the boss attacks you with his “back” part. If you do get hit, protect yourself with a shield.

The most convenient half of the Flexible Sentinel for combat is the one with clubs: it is slower. Hit her at the moment when the Sentinel is “resting” after being hit with both clubs.

After the monster loses 50% of its health and over time, water will begin to flow into the hold, which will somewhat complicate the ability to maneuver, so try to finish the fight as quickly as possible.

If you don’t like the tactics of contact combat, then you can hide behind a column so that the Flexible Sentry rests against it, and shoot him with a bow or using spells.

Ruin Guardians

The main problem with these Ruin Guardians is that there are not one or two of them, but a trio. However, you will also find yourself a friend, whom you can summon in one of the cells; To do this, you need to get closer to the human symbol inscribed on the floor.

Before the battle, it is recommended to “sharpen” your combat weapons to the maximum, since you need to have time to kill one boss while the other is beating up your companion. If you don't make it in time, you'll get a free return ticket.

Without going down from the balcony, take on the first boss, going behind him and blocking attacks with a shield. When you deal with him, two more of the same will appear. If you hesitate on the balcony, they will jump on it and quickly deal with you, so go down with your ally. Now everything depends on him: if he distracts the attention of one of the bosses, deal with the other with the standard tactic of going behind his back, and then take on the remaining one.

Old Dragonslayer

"The Old Dragonslayer"
Health: 2700
Souls: 15000
Things: Soul of the Old Dragonslayer, Ring of the Old Leo, 5000 souls for a phantom ally

Destroying this boss is not that difficult if you have a good shield and a decent amount of stamina. If you move to the side near the boss, then all attacks will miss the target. It is better to move with your shield up, since the Dragon Slayer will periodically make fan attacks.

You should hit him at the moment when he missed with his “combo”. In addition, the Old Dragonslayer freezes after stabbing, during which time you can hit him. But if you confuse a regular thrust with a combination of attacks, you risk getting seriously hurt.

It is also recommended to pay attention to the fact that if the Old Dragonslayer moves his arms back or glows, then a super blow is being prepared. If physical damage is blocked by a shield, then it will not save you from magical damage, so it is best to dodge.

Pursuer

"Pursuer"
Health: 3110
Souls: 17000
Things: Soul of the Pursuer

The Pursuer is by no means a simple boss: his attacks are deadly, and he will break your blocks without any problems. However, the method of fighting him is not much different from the method of destroying all previous bosses. You need to get into the side of the Pursuer, repelling two blows. The third time he misses, opening up the opportunity for you to retaliate.

If the Pursuer hits you with a piercing blow from his blue sword, pries you and curses you, then all hell breaks loose. He himself will only become stronger and will use new attacks, so it is recommended to jump back.

Forgotten Sinner

"The Forgotten Sinner"
Health: 3900
Souls: 49500
Things: Soul of the Forgotten Sinner

Recipe for success - good equipment. The tower shield will allow you to repel all enemy side attacks and carry out your own in between them.

If you try to move as far away from the Sinner as possible, she will knock you out of the jump, so you can defeat her by clinging closer to her and making circles counterclockwise. Strike immediately after she throws two, or several at once if she does a combination of strikes with a finishing vertical strike.

If you are facing the Forgotten Sinner with an ally, block and wait for the ally to hit the boss. After the Sinner switches to an ally, wait for a combination of several hits and start attacking yourself.

Rat Guard Soldier

"Fighter of the Rat Guard"
Health: 1410
Souls: 11000
Things: Soul of the Rat Guard Fighter, Rat Tail

As soon as you cross the fog, start moving in a circle and destroy the rats there one by one, avoiding getting into their cluster: they will eat you and not notice. You need to constantly move and choose targets that have strayed from the herd. In this arena, it is better to kill opponents without targeting them, since you will complicate your ability to maneuver and may end up surrounded.

After killing a dozen rats in the arena, a boss will appear near your entrance to the location, which compares favorably with its fellows by the presence of a certain mohawk on its head. As soon as this happens (you can catch this moment using the health bar that flashes for a moment at the bottom), roll to this point and cover yourself with a shield to restore stamina, and then inflict a series of powerful blows on the Rat Guard Fighter - they should be enough.

Rotting

"Rotting"
Health: ~7000
Souls: 35250
Things: Soul of the Rotten

The attacks of this comrade have a very painful effect on the health of the person in which direction they are directed. Getting around him behind his back and avoiding damage is very problematic, so you can use the help of a phantom.

To do this, you need to completely draw the boss's attention to yourself and take him away from the phantom. After this, all you have to do is run from the monster in the inner circle, looking back and waiting for your ally to shoot the Rotting One in the back.

Scorpio Nazka

"Scorpio Nazhka"
Health: 5741
Souls: 17250
Things: Soul of Scorpio Najka, Southern ritual bracelet

This boss is intermediate and not that difficult to deal with. The battle begins the moment you attack the female torso sticking out from under the sand. When the scorpion crawls out, provoke it into close combat, since Nazhka throws magic in ranged combat.

Your task is to wait until it hits the ground with both tails. Afterwards you will have enough time to have a blast with it. Periodically, the scorpion burrows into the ground, and when it comes out, you get some free time to attack.

Rat Commander

"Rat Commander"
Health: 4310
Souls: 14000
Things: Soul of the Rat Commander, Rat Tail

The Rat Commander has a brutally strong attack and is a fairly difficult boss, so in a fight with him you need to do everything correctly and make as few mistakes as possible.

Quickly deal with the small monsters and run to the boss. Your task is to reach the rear left leg of the Rat Commander while dodging his muzzle. You should not run under your feet, because in this case the Commander will quickly jump back and attack. Also, you should not use “targeting” (target capture).

When the rat makes one blow (which you, standing at the back left leg, will not notice), attack once/twice. In the event that the Rat Commander jumps back and prepares to jump, run under his feet. Even if you do not have time to block his attack, you will have time to heal under his body within a few seconds.

The faster you deal with the Rat Commander, the better: after a while he will start spilling puddles of vomit.

Necromancer and zombie

Necromancer and Zombie is a fairly simple boss. First, attack the main ghoul, trying to deal with him in one go. After that, begin to move the zombie aside, simultaneously dodging the shots of his two “friends,” and when you pull him away, return back to the shooters and destroy them. It is better to leave the zombies for later, since the necromancer boss will heal them anyway.

Freya - the Duke's lover

"Freya - the Duke's Beloved"
Health: 4040
Souls: 42000
Things: The soul of Freya - the Duke's beloved

Mistress Freya, despite her magnificent nickname, is a very frightening sight. This giant spider with two heads in diametrically opposite parts of the body, who will be ready to challenge your right to exist. While you are fighting with her, small spiders will occasionally crawl into the arena, which will complicate your maneuvers, so it is better to get rid of them immediately.

When fighting Freya, try to concentrate all the damage exclusively on her heads. A tactic that will help you destroy the spider is to alternately deliver powerful blows to each of the two heads. Don't forget to jump to the side or block immediately after striking.

Also try not to move too far away from the spider, otherwise you risk running into a “death ray”.

Gargoyles from the tower

"Gargoyles from the Tower"
Health: 1200*5
Souls: 25000
Things: Soul of the Tower Gargoyles, Golden Ring of the Miserly Serpent

Once you are on the roof, cover yourself with a shield and move towards the first gargoyle. Attack immediately after the gargoyle attacks you. If you don’t have time to deal with it, then a second one will fly up and your life will immediately become harder. However, gargoyles do not deal as much damage as other bosses, so you can easily miss one or two hits in your direction.

To get out of this unpleasant situation, cover yourself with a shield and wait for the moment when they simultaneously attack you. In this case, you will have time to jump back and finish off the first gargoyle. When the second gargoyle is left alone, provoke it to attack, and then finish it off. It's best to make her attack "on the fly", in which case you will have more time after she lands.

Executioner's Chariot

"Dragon Rider"
Health: 4140
Souls: 19000
Things: Soul of a Chariot Rider

The boss is quite simple, however, you still need to get to it. When you cross the bridge, deal with the spirit and go further through the door, keep a course to the left, sticking to the recesses in the wall, otherwise you will be run over and not even noticed.

Your goal is to get to the lever that will lower the gate, a collision with which will be fatal for the rider; but his two-headed “Shadowheart” will survive.

While you are doing this, various kinds of undead will interfere with you. If on the way to the lever you miss two necromancers, then you will continue to observe all the arriving skeletons. When several mobs attack you at once, go into the recess, cover yourself with a shield and wait until they are hit by the chariot. When you have dealt with the undead and lowered the grate, the matter will be left to the horse.

It is best to attack the horse at the moment when it attacks with the magic of darkness and its heads are emitting steam: go to the side and hit. It’s better not to fight him head-on; he attacks very painfully.

Skeleton Lord

"Skeleton Lord"
Souls: 16500
Things: Soul of the Skeleton Lord

A fairly simple boss. Before this fight, it is recommended to wear something to protect yourself from fire.

The main goal in this battle is two necromancers, who need to be attacked as quickly as possible. The skeletons that have begun to rise are quite slow and, in a good situation, will not have time to save their owners.

After the destruction of the necromancers, four skeleton wheels will appear (migrated here from the first part of Dark Souls). The first two need to be killed before they roll, and the remaining two will not be so difficult to deal with.

Greedy Demon

"Greedy Demon"
Health: 4440
Souls: 13000
Things: Soul of the Dragon Rider

The greedy demon is a huge, nasty slug, a kind of silent Jabba clone from the Star Wars universe.

He is quite clumsy and you can fight him by attacking directly in his face. However, if the Greedy Demon grabs you and chews you up, you will be left without your things. You can also try attacking him from behind, but keep in mind that he does three hits in a row with his weapon. light tail. If you attack the demon from the side, then there is a high probability that he will roll over and crush you.

Queen Mita

"Queen Mita"
Health: 3650
Souls: 20000
Things: Soul of Queen Mita

Queen Mita is a monster with the body of a huge snake. In one hand she holds a long and powerful spear, and in the other her own head. The battle with Mita takes place in an arena filled with poison. By the way, the poison can be drained by incinerating the mill wheel.

The boss attacks with both single and double attacks, interspersed with magic attacks if you deal too much damage to him. It is not recommended to enter from the back, Mita can attack backwards, so best tactic there will be a large number of side impacts.

Smelter Demon

"Demon of the Smelter"
Health: 5970
Souls: 32000
Things: Soul of the Demon from the Smelter

Outwardly, he is the canonical embodiment of universal evil. A difficult boss, which is best taken on with an ally. The demon inflicts one to three blows, after which it freezes for a short time. Traditionally, it is better for you to hit at such moments.

If the Smelter Demon flies into the air, then you need to move away and keep your distance until the blast wave appears.

After you deprive the boss of a third of his life, he will light up and damage close range fire damage. And when the Demon has a third of his life left, he will pierce himself with a sword and it will also become fiery. From this moment on, you cannot block attacks, since fire damage will pass through you. You need to wait until the boss delivers two powerful blows and then attack yourself.

Old Iron King

"Old Iron King"
Health: 6070
Souls: 48000
Things: Soul of the Old Iron King

Another creepy creature that you will need to cope with. However, this boss should not deliver more serious problems than the previous one. All you need to do is provoke him into attacks that are advantageous to you: everything except the overhead strike can be blocked.

The old king is quite slow. If you successfully jump away from one of his attacks, you can hit him about five times. In a few of these approaches you will deal with him. The main thing is not to get too close to the cliff, otherwise you risk being thrown into the abyss with one powerful push.

Two Dragon Riders

This is everything you fought with at the very beginning of the game, only this time there are two of them. The dragon riders enter the battle one at a time, so you will need to deal with one of them as quickly as possible, otherwise you will have to fight two at once.

Mirror Knight

"Mirror Knight"
Health: 6540
Souls: 25500
Things: Soul of the Mirror Knight

The Mirror Knight attacks with circular strikes, occasionally spewing bolts of lightning in your direction and charging the sword with magic. His most dangerous move, his jump attack, will drain you of all your stamina if you block and almost all of your health if you mess up. And if you want to measure your strength with him in an exchange of frontal blows, then it’s unlikely that anything good will come of it, since the Knight attacks with combinations of several powerful blows that will penetrate even a well-protected player.

Walk behind the Mirror Knight and attack. When you remove half of his health, a phantom will materialize from his shield. Leave it to your ally and deal with the boss yourself. If your ally deals with the phantom, then there should be no more problems with the Mirror Knight.

Demon of Song

"Demon of Song"
Health: 5000
Souls: 19500
Things: Soul of the Song Demon, Quest from Drangleic Castle

The path you will travel to reach the Demon of Song is more dangerous than the demon itself. Therefore, it will be more convenient for you if you deal with the boss the first time.

You need to attack this comrade exclusively at his head and hands, which he sticks out while attacking you. Take the correct position, namely a few steps from his head on the right side, but do not run completely to the side. Wait for him to attack with his hands and jump away, then wait for him to rise up and stand on his hind legs to deliver a powerful blow. Move back a little and, as soon as the Song Demon makes a powerful attack, rush into battle and deliver several powerful blows. After this, the boss will hide back, and you just have to repeat this operation several times.

If you move too far away from the Song Demon, it will rush at you with acceleration and begin to shower you with magic - all this will have a detrimental effect on your health.

Weltstadt

"Weltstadt"
Health: ???
Souls: 50000
Things: Soul of Weltstadt, Ring of the Royal Soldier

Velstadt is a huge, powerful enemy that deals significant damage in close combat. You can block his single or double strikes, but with a triple strike he will break through your entire defense. If you stand directly in front of him, you can get a knockback kick.

Wellstadt doesn't attack as actively at first, so you'll have room to perform a variety of combo attacks. But after he gets down on one knee and the gong sounds, the “heat” will begin: Wellstadt will attack much more quickly and “more painfully”. If you run a long distance, you will get hit in the face with a powerful magical attack.

When Velstadt has less than a third of his health left, he will use feint attacks, disguising fan attacks as vertical ones. If you don't remember how he does them, then if you miss one of his attacks, you can lose the entire battle. In addition, Wellstadt will also be able to attack while moving backwards, so going behind his back will no longer be possible. Just stick to the right side while landing single hits.

Dragon Guard

"Dragon Guard"
Health: ???
Souls: 37000
Things: Soul of the Dragonguard

The fight with the Dragon Guardian should not cause many problems: run under its belly and strike at its legs (it is advisable not to use “target lock”, it will only cause inconvenience).

Beating him in this mode for a long time will not work: the dragon will stamp his foot or fly up. In the first case, simply change your leg, and in the second, be prepared to run away from a barrage of fire, calculating in advance where the dragon will land for a new attack.

Ancient dragon

"Ancient Dragon"
Health: ~12000
Souls: 12000
Things: Ancient Dragon Soul, Petrified Dragon Bone

The fiery attacks of the Ancient Dragon kill outright. To avoid getting hit by them, don't throw too many punches at once. Three will be enough, after that run to the edge of the platform, wait out the fiery breath of the boss and come back.

It is worth noting that without a stamina ring it will be very difficult to maneuver, so worry about replenishing your stamina in advance.

Lord of the Giants

"Lord of the Giants"
Health: 12480
Souls: 75000
Things: Soul of the Giant Lord, Giant's Totem, Giant's Ring

Before the fight with the Giant Lord begins, you will have to walk along the wall. Before you go further, you should wait for some time until the monsters destroy each other or die under artillery fire. Climb onto the ledges on the left side and wait again for a while until the head from the statue does its dirty deed. Then wait for the shells to fly by and move on, trying not to get hit by salvo fire.

The Lord of the Giants is very similar in battle mechanics to the very first boss, but attacks with a very sharp sword instead of hands. There won't be much space for the fight, but the boss won't jump much, so it should be enough. Attack the Giant Lord's legs while dodging the stomp: this is the only attack you won't be able to block.

"Defender of the Throne and Caretaker of the Throne"
Health: ???
Souls: ???
Things: Souls of the Throne Defender and Throne Caretaker

Killing both of these bosses at once is not so easy. Right before the fog, it is recommended to call an ally, and then quickly destroy the carrion, since they do not have much health. If you delay, one boss will be able to resurrect the other. After destroying these bosses, the next one will appear - Nashandra.

Nashadra

"Nashandra"
Health: ???
Souls: ???
Things: Soul of Nashandra

As you might have already guessed, the final boss cannot be easy. Nashandra's attacks are unexpected and deadly: she attacks with scythe, darkness, and curse (curse damage cannot be blocked).

It is highly recommended to equip yourself with the Ring of Blinding, which could be found at the very beginning of the game. It will prevent your health from dropping below 75%, otherwise you will be forced to fight the boss with only 50%.

Attack Nashandra while she is busy casting spells, then run around the perimeter and break all the "clouds". Nashandra deals enormous damage in melee combat, but some of her attacks are easy to dodge. To get her to do these particular attacks, get as close to her as possible, and then move back a little while she swings. It is quite possible that this blow will be followed by another one, so do not rush into battle again. Attack Nashandra after she performs a series of attacks in a row. Shoot down the “clouds” as soon as she conjures them, and repeat the above operation in close combat. In this case, your victory is guaranteed.

Challenging and spectacular boss battles are one of the main features of the series Dark Souls, and some fights are not inferior in entertainment to such slashers as Devil May Cry And God of War. And the editors SIMHOST compiled the top 5 most spectacular battles in the Dark Souls franchise.

Sin the Slumbering Dragon

It would be very difficult not to mention the battle with the dragon in this top, and even more so one like the one with Sin, the final boss in the DLC Crown of the Sunken King to the game Dark Souls II. Breathing fire and poison, attacks with its tail, paws and mouth, take-offs and much more has been prepared by this swift dragon, which is not prevented from being deadly even by the spear that pierced its chest. And if you invite other players to fight, the battle becomes even more epic. In addition, the entire battle is accompanied by epic music, very suitable for a battle with a dragon. Well-deserved 5th place.

Ornstein and Smaug

This couple is one of the symbols of the first part Dark Souls, and indeed, perhaps, the entire series. And it's not even that these bosses are some of the most difficult. The battle with them is truly spectacular. You have to keep an eye on not only the hulking and huge Smaug, but also the fast-moving Ornstein. Only after spending several battles will the player be able to somehow keep track of their attacks, but if you defeat one of them, then you will be surprised in the form of a second phase, when one boss absorbs the other and becomes stronger, while completely restoring health. This is what makes Ornstein and Smaug one of the most memorable bosses, which is why they are ranked 4th in our top.

Burnt Ivory King

Main boss fight in DLC Crown of the Ivory King to the game Dark Souls II - The Burnt Ivory King is truly surprising, as it shows us a very large-scale battle by Dark Souls standards. To begin with, we will have to deal with the retinue of the Burnt King - the burnt knights, and we are unlikely to do without 3-4 Lois knights, who will help you in the battle, as well as close the portals from which new opponents emerge. Only when we have defeated all the burnt ones will we be able to begin the battle with the boss himself.

Of course, the battle with him is not particularly remarkable, but the battle with his retinue not only brings a very unique sensation, but also adds epicness and entertainment to this battle. And if you also summon friendly phantoms, you will see perhaps the most epic battle in the Dark Souls universe. But still, we are talking about boss battles, so we only award the battle with the Burnt Ivory King in third place.

Guardians of the Abyss

The third part of Dark Souls greatly developed the combat mechanics of this series, and in particular the battles with bosses, but one of the most spectacular ones occurs during the battle with the Guardians of the Abyss, who, even before the appearance of the main character, were always resurrected and killing each other, and we unwittingly become participants this merciless battle. At first we fight to the death with just one Guardian. He is fast and agile and delivers devastating blows, but he is not very strong on his own.

But soon the second one will connect. But everything is not so bad, since a third one will also rise, but he will fight not only against you, but also with other guardians, and then the battle turns into some kind of wild game of survival. And you are trying with all your might not to let the third one be killed, since you really don’t want to stand alone against two. And everything really resembles some kind of bloody gladiatorial fights in Ancient Rome, except that there are no spectators.

But that’s not all: when you finally defeat the main Guardian, the second phase begins. He slowly rises up, becoming faster and more deadly, and his sword begins to burn with a bright flame. The other guardians stop rebelling, but to be honest, during the second phase you will be incredibly tempted to go through the first one again. When you finally pass this test, you will remember this battle forever. In addition to the epic battle, we will be shown spectacular cut-scenes before the battle and between phases. And perhaps only the Japanese can do something so cool. But it’s worth mentioning the very well-chosen soundtrack. For all this, we award the battle with the Guardians of the Abyss second place.

Father Ariandel and sister Friede

No matter what conflicting opinions fans might have about the first DLC for Dark Souls 3 - Ashes of Ariandel, the most spectacular boss battle was shown here. The developers gave their best in a way they had never laid before. But the battle begins very calmly and the first phase is a battle with Friede herself. Quiet music plays, and Friede seems more like another player than a boss, but still shows very unpleasant abilities, such as disappearing and ending up behind the player. It's also pretty fast, but the first phase is still quite simple by Dark Souls standards.

When we defeat Friede, Father Ariandel will enter the battle and become incredibly furious, breaking down walls, expanding the battlefield, and also causing the entire floor to burn. At the same time, Friede will rise up and you will have to fight two bosses at once. By the way, the battle is very similar to the battle with Ornstein and Smaug. The hulking and massive Father Ariandel, who runs ahead, and the same agile and calm sister Friede, who prefers to attack from afar. The contrast between the bosses even lies in the fact that one controls fire and the other controls ice. And it turns out to be a kind of crazy dance of opposing elements. But defeating them is not the end, as the developers have prepared a very unpleasant surprise in the form of the third phase, and it is the most difficult.

You will have to fight again against one sister, Frida, but in the third phase she will become several times more dangerous. She will be more rapid, begin to use new techniques, and also use dark magic. Blow after blow will come, and remembering all her abilities and choosing the right moment to attack is incredibly difficult for an inexperienced player. And after a hard victory, you yourself will be surprised how you were able to defeat such an opponent. And you will also understand how much From Software has advanced in creating truly epic battles, and there has never been a more spectacular battle in Dark Souls than the fight with Father Ariandel and Sister Friede. Honorable first place.

The latest addition for Dark Souls 3 awaits us - The Ringed City, and who knows, maybe the most memorable battle awaits the players right here.
