According to church tradition, she was taken to heaven along with her body. On the icon of the Assumption, the Savior Himself descended from heaven to meet His earthly mother. Because she has been in prayer since childhood. It seems to many that the saints lived in a kind of vacuum, through pink glasses looked at the world, so they did not notice evil. Not at all - they were aware of it and faced the same difficulties as other people. Only in difficult situations did they have the courage to behave with dignity.
What qualities distinguish St. Maria from others?
- Firm faith - she did not doubt for a second that she would cope with her mission.
- Spiritual maturity - was able to avoid the sin of pride.
- Humility - she never complained about her cross and did not renounce it.
At the same time, I did all the usual homework, which others did too Jewish women. But in those days, any meal was the result of many hours of labor. There was no electricity, running water or other amenities of civilization, and the family lived quite modestly. But the difficulties did not frighten the Ever-Virgin, did not make her despondent and melancholy. She remained kind, patient, and never raised her voice.
What do they pray to the Mother of God for?
After the formation of the Christian Church, the Mother of God helps all humanity with her prayers. She can teach the human heart true love: the one described by the Apostle Paul, selfless, endless, sacrificial.

According to church tradition, after her death, the Virgin Mary still walks the earth to take care of people. She sees every tear, hears all the complaints of the offended, the weak, the weak in body. It especially helps children, because their suffering is the hardest to see.
