Terra Natura (Terra natura) – an amazing natural theme park. To more accurately define this wonderful park, it can be called a zoo, since this is a unique opportunity to take a walk and explore not only the world of animals, but also diverse world plants. On an area of 32 hectares, the “population” is represented: elephants, llamas, monkeys, armadillos, rhinoceroses, porcupines, wild boars, flamingos, pumas, tigers...

We recommend that you definitely purchase a guidebook, which will help you plan effectively and you won’t miss the “interesting things” of the day. Terra Natura Park cordially opens its premises to tourists in the morning at 10:00; the closing time, as is customary in Spain, depends on seasonality.

Be sure to visit the terrarium; you have never seen such a “gathering” of reptiles on one site.

There are concert areas in the park, where all kinds of performances and performances with birds and animals take place three times a day; we recommend checking the time in advance so as not to miss anything. A variety of exhibitions, shows, night and day safaris - for every taste and everything for visitors.

Terra nature

The zoo has a well-groomed territory, the coziness of which is created by neat paths, artificial waterfalls and a variety of ideal “green areas”. Terra Natura boasts 1,500 different animals of 200 varieties, 50 of which are endangered species. There are 2,500 specimens of 160 different varieties of plants: trees, bushes and herbs.

The park has a lot of related entertainment: Spanish songs performed by caballeros, for the brave, swimming with small but toothy sharks, bungee jumping. Quartet of zones of the Terra Natura park

Let's get acquainted, the park consists of four zones:
Pangea,

Asia
America.

Each zone presents flora and fauna inherent and characteristic of the geographical continental part, typical architectural structures and folklore shows, National cuisine, craft and folk art. All the inhabitants are in their natural environment; there are no cages or enclosures, and most importantly, nothing interferes with the contemplation of animals and birds. The park staff carries out careful selection work, which makes it possible to regularly replenish the plant collection with new and even endangered species.

Beetles, flies, grasshoppers, volcano...or Pangea Zone

The Pangea zone is located at the very entrance to the park, demonstrating a model of a volcano with erupting fire-breathing lava, and the zone itself is dedicated to invertebrate arthropods. The scientists of the zoo were able to create and maintain a luxurious etymological collection.

Already when purchasing tickets to the park, the public is entertained by animators in insect costumes. Actors top class, and even if you haven’t had time to learn Spanish, the essence of what is happening will be clear to you. Well, those who wish can capture their face with giant grasshoppers, flies, beetles, models of which greet you already at the entrance to the park.

Tropical forest and “outlandish” animals, or Zone “America”

Zone "America" is an area that attracts lush tropical vegetation and ancient Mayan ruins. Numerous animals live here: jaguars, noses, jaguarundis, vicunas, capybaras... And you can simply identify it by the “rattle” at the end of its tail. It is surprising that young snakes are “biting” due to their inability to control the amount of venom when biting.

The imperial scorpion, which has already become a “world-famous actor”, this species is often the hero of a horror film: they are big, black, in a word – “handsome” still. Emperor scorpions use venom extremely rarely. In the park you can often watch scorpions “fighting” over food, although there is plenty of it in the terrarium. We remind you that all scorpions are poisonous, but in most varieties the poison is not fatal to humans.

The “America” zone also invites you to see “outlandish animals”, for example, the Senegalese galago (Gálago de Senegal), or the White hedgehog (Erizo de vientre blanco).
Monster Gia (Monstruo de gila) – singular gender the family of poisonous reptiles of the suborder lizards of the same name. Gila, or as it is popularly called, is the American Gila monster, the most famous of the poisonous teeth. The length of a mature individual reaches up to 50 centimeters.

A herd of elephants and visiting Indian rhinoceroses, or the Land of Asia (Asia)

The lands of Asia will surprise you with a herd of elephants, which is the largest in the park in Europe. It is especially interesting to see how the elephants flirt with the public, begging for delicacies.
