Andrei became a good drummer and at one time was the head of the Giusto club (in the 1990s), worked as part of the Resurrection group. However, after some time, Kobzon Jr. hit the restaurant business.

In an interview, Andrey told why he didn’t communicate with his dad for several years and why there won’t be a second Kobzon on stage ...

- Is it hard to bear the name Kobzon?

- I confess, I was not always able to match my last name ... I remember very well the moment when I clearly realized who my father was. I was three years old, and I was guilty of something. Then my dad made it clear to me that Kobzon is not just a surname, using modern slang, it is a brand that he created. Any of my stories is associated personally with him, and I have no right to disgrace him, because I did nothing to make her famous. So already at the age of three, I began to think that my surname was not simple.

- It is a well-known fact that you are not a restaurateur and businessman, but a gifted drummer!

- Nature, of course, did not reward me with talents as generously as dad, but I have a good ear. That was enough to send me to the choir at the age of 4. And that I become his soloist. Although my parents prepared a different fate for me, so I also went to an English school. I studied there for three days! And then Vladimir Spivakov came to our house and spoke harshly with his father: “What are you doing? You're ruining a child's talents! He himself became a musician, but you don’t allow him. ” But dad was not against it, he just did not see any talents in me. In addition, my mother really wanted me to study at an English school and make a career as a diplomat. But after talking with Spivakov, my dad asked me what I want to play. I replied that only on drums. He snickered: “If only it wasn’t a windmill!” - after all, in the musical world they joke about them, they say, they blow their brains out and do not differ in a special mind.

- You and your father developed a difficult relationship in life. Why do you have a conflict?

- A discrepancy in relation to life - it is different with us. If he has an attitude to live life and die at work, then I think that work is needed in order to live, and not life for the sake of work. I appreciate those moments in life when I can afford to be lazy. And it annoys him. For example, he never understood Muslim Magomayev. Quite harshly condemned him for the fact that he allegedly neglected his career. Being a super-famous and talented singer, Magomayev did not tour much. When Muslim was asked why this happens, he honestly answered: “I don’t like to work hard!” And dad even on vacation gave 4 concerts a day! A completely different warehouse - and in this we are different. I like to have a rest in Thailand in winter. And dad does not understand how it is possible to do nothing for a whole month. He decided everything for himself as a child - and he never leaves this rut. And of course, he achieved what he wanted, thanks to his character.

- You probably swear often?

- Not often, but a lot. A couple of times we didn't talk to each other for six months. After all, I also have a difficult character, I am also very uncomfortable, but not as sharp as dad. I can not tell him some kind of complaint, but he will not be silent - he will definitely express it. Still, I am in many ways similar to my mother: she has a distinctive feature - diplomacy. The first time we had a big fight at my 17 years old - I was then of a transitional age, I wanted to prove something. And we didn't talk to him. Not so long ago, he made a remark to me about my business, and we again quarreled to the bone.

- Were there moments in your life when you were in poverty?

- Were. Of course, I did not die of hunger, but I could not afford to buy what I wanted. And in these cases, by coincidence, my father could not help me, since in the first case we were in a quarrel, and the second time he was in a coma (in 2001, during an operation, Iosif Davydovich began to get blood poisoning and he fell into a coma for 15 days. - Ed.). Then I had to endure a one-on-one confrontation with reality.
