Crimean Humanitarian University is a higher educational institution occupying an individual niche in national system education Autonomous Republic Crimea and Ukraine as a whole.

The past and present of the Crimean Humanitarian University eloquently testify that over the sixty-five years of its existence it has acquired a reputation as a significant educational and cultural center of the entire Southern region. The historical path traveled (Yalta Pedagogical School, College, Crimean State Humanitarian Institute, Crimean Humanitarian University) convincingly proves that the Crimean Humanitarian University is mobile modern system, sensitive to innovations social development.

Currently, the Crimean Humanitarian University has formed a highly qualified scientific and pedagogical team, consisting of about four hundred people (including forty-six doctors of sciences, one hundred and thirty candidates of sciences).

At the Crimean Humanitarian University, scientific research is conducted at a modern level in a number of priority areas of the humanities. Some of these areas:

• "Development and improvement of humanitarian education in a multinational region";
• "Development of a model for training a humanitarian specialist based on the use of health-saving technologies";
• "Studying the possibilities of integrating KSU into the international educational space",
• "Diagnostics and development of professional abilities in the field of art: cognitive and cultural approaches."

Over the past five years, based on the results scientific research about twenty monographs have been published, more than 120 scientific articles are published annually, five collections and periodicals, including professional publications “Humanities”, “Problems of modern teacher education”.

Every year, about six hundred students of the Crimean Humanitarian University take part in research work. On the basis of the university, scientific research centers of physical and mental health, depth psychology (together with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine), international cooperation, economic research, education, science, culture of the Southern Coast of Crimea.

Crimean Humanitarian University maintains and develops relations with foreign universities and organizations in order to integrate into the international educational space and achieve a high level of quality education. IN international conferences, held on the basis of KSU, involve specialists from Russia, Belarus, the Baltics, and leading countries Western Europe, USA, Israel.

The activities of the university are organized taking into account the multicomponent content of education, based on information technologies training and focuses on the formation of a professionally mobile personality, capable of constant improvement of scientific knowledge and adequate perception of the evolutionary processes of modern society.

Crimean Humanitarian University (KSU)- state higher educational institution in the city of Yalta. For 2008 total The university's scientific and pedagogical staff consists of 378 teachers, of which 53 are doctors of science; candidates of science -108. Every year, leading scientists of Ukraine are attracted to work at the university. Composition of the university for 2008: 1 branch (Armensk); 6 faculties; 21 departments (new department of economics and management in Armyansk), 6 research centers ( regional center higher education for people with disabilities; depth psychology, sector international cooperation, economic research, innovation - psychological research, “Education, science, culture of the South Coast”); public relations center; editorial and publishing department; pre-university training center, science Library, teacher resource center in English, information and computing center, Economics and Humanities College, The educational center working professions "Nadezhda".

On September 23, 2009, KSU celebrated its 65th anniversary. The history of the foundation of KSU began with the creation in the 40s of the Yalta Pedagogical School, the Yalta Pedagogical College, and on their basis the Crimean State Humanitarian Institute arose, and then the Crimean Humanitarian University.
