Heating was returned to the houses of Muscovites due to abnormal cooling. .

In different districts of Moscow, power engineers have already resumed the supply of heat, Gazeta.ru reports.
According to weather forecasters, on the night of May 10-11, temperatures in the capital may drop to zero degrees. The coming days will also be cold.
Earlier, the city authorities postponed hot water shutdowns from May 10 to May 15 due to cold weather.
The heating season in Moscow ended on May 1. Heating in the capital is turned off when the average air temperature for five days is plus 8 degrees.

PJSC "Moscow United Energy Company" in connection with a decrease in outdoor temperature and weather forecasts resumed the supply of thermal energy to residential buildings and social facilities of the capital.

As reported " Interfax ” in the press service of the company, heating for consumers will be turned on until the end of Wednesday.

According to the regulations, the heating season in Moscow ends when the average daily outdoor temperature is above 8 degrees for five days in a row with an upward trend.

In late April - early May, abnormally warm weather set in Moscow with temperatures 8-9 degrees above the average climatic norm, in connection with which the city authorities decided to transfer heat supply systems to summer operation.

From 8:00 on May 1, the capital's power engineers began to turn off the heating in the city, and on May 2, weather forecasters recorded the warmest day of the year in Moscow (25.6 degrees).

But starting from May 3-4, a sharp cooling began in Moscow, with night frosts. In addition, on May 8 and 9, rains and sleet fell on the city, more than 70% of the monthly precipitation fell in two days, which in May is 51 mm.

The cold snap also made adjustments to the timing of the start of preventive shutdowns of hot water in residential buildings in Moscow. They will begin not on the 10th, but on May 15th.

Public utilities will heat until the weather improvesIn early May, with the first hot days, the heating in the capital was cut downPhoto: Valery ZVONAREV.

Batteries in the apartments of Muscovites again give fire. May turned out to be so cold that public utilities decided not to freeze houses, kindergartens, schools and hospitals.

Until the end of today (that is, Wednesday, May 10. - Approx. Aut.) We will resume the supply of heat to residential buildings and buildings of the social sphere, - they said “ Komsomolka ” in the press service of the Moscow United Energy Company. - This is due to the decrease in the temperature of the outside air and the weather forecast for the coming days.

Recall that in early May, with the first hot days, the heating in the capital was cut down. And they were even going to start the traditional shutdowns of hot water from May 10th. Recall that for this the average daily temperature of the outside air must be above 8 degrees for five days in a row. But after a sharp cold snap on May 8 and 9 with rain, snow and wind, the mayor's office decided to leave hot water in Muscovites' apartments until May 15. Most likely, the batteries will remain warm until the same date. Until the weather improves again.

By the way, natural vagaries will hit the wallets of residents. Next year we will have to pay more for heating. According to the rules, the amount for this service is distributed evenly throughout the year. At the same time, the payment for the current year is calculated based on the heat spent last year. That is, now Muscovites pay for heating according to data for January 2016. And for the heat of 2017 at an increased price they will pay next year, 2018.

The heating of houses and social facilities in Moscow has been turned on again due to cold weather and weather forecasts for the coming days, the press service of the Moscow Energy Company reports.
As they say in the message, heating in all houses will be turned on until the end of Wednesday, May 10.
Turning off the heat supply in Moscow began on May 1. However, on May 4, a sharp cooling came to Moscow, which, according to weather forecasts, will last until the end of this week.

In Moscow, due to the drop in temperature and the weather forecast, they resumed the supply of heat to residential buildings and social facilities. This is stated in the message of PJSC "Moscow United Energy Company" (MOEK), which was received by RBC.

"Heating for consumers of these categories will be turned on until the end of today", the message says. Heat supply was resumed in connection with a fax received from the Moscow government.

The Moscow United Energy Company switched its heat supply systems to summer operation at the beginning of May 2017. 71,000 buildings were successively disconnected from heating, including 33,000 residential buildings.

In the capital, the heating season was completed on May 1, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Public Utilities and Improvement Petr Biryukov. He noted that according to the current norms, heating is turned off when the air temperature is kept at eight degrees for five days and grows.

At the end of April, it was reported that from May 10, hot water will be turned off in Moscow, which will continue until August 25. In total, due to preventive and capital work on the heating networks of Moscow, hot water will temporarily not be supplied to 33 thousand residential buildings. As noted in the IOC, the shutdown of hot water will not exceed ten days.

As reported on the website of Rosgidromettsentr, on Wednesday, May 10, the air temperature will be from plus six degrees to plus eight degrees. Cloudy with clearings during the day, light rainfall in places. On the night of Thursday, May 11, the thermometer will drop to minus one - plus one degree. During the day, the temperature will rise from seven to nine degrees above zero. Forecasters have warned that there may be sleet at night, light rain during the day.

As the agency was told, Interfax ” in the air traffic control services of the Moscow air zone, the capital's airports promptly responded to the abnormal weather and returned to winter work standards. According to the interlocutor of the agency, this helped to avoid aircraft diversions to alternate airfields and flight delays. He noted that Moscow airports are operating normally.

On the night of May 10-11, specialists from the Hydrometeorological Center predict a cold snap below zero degrees.

In different districts of Moscow, heating began to be turned on in residential buildings due to abnormal cooling, Gazeta.ru reports.

At the same time, on the night of May 10-11, specialists from the Hydrometeorological Center promise a cold snap below zero degrees.

Recall that earlier it was decided to postpone the shutdown of hot water in residential buildings due to a sharp cold snap.

Due to weather conditions, preventive shutdowns of hot water in residential buildings in Moscow have been postponed to May 15.

"Due to cold weather, hydraulic tests are postponed from May 10 to May 15, that is, hot water in houses will be turned off later", - said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Public Utilities and Improvement Petr Biryukov.

In addition, due to the cold weather established in Moscow, the city authorities decided to resume the supply of heating. It is planned that the supply of heat to residential buildings and social facilities will fully resume by the end of Wednesday, May 10.

According to forecasts of the Hydrometeorological Center, throughout the week the air temperature in Moscow will fluctuate below plus 12 degrees, and frosts are expected in the capital at night.

Video about when the heating is turned on in Moscow?

Every autumn, heat begins to flow into Muscovites' homes, and the start of the heating season and the decision is made comprehensively, taking into account several factors that affect when the heating is turned on.

According to the rules, heating is turned on in Moscow by order of the Government, when the average daily outside temperature is kept below 8 ° C for five days. The Government also takes into account the operational weather forecast when deciding to turn on the heating: if the temperature has a sharp downward trend, turn on the heating in Moscow ahead of schedule.

The statistics collected over the past seven years on the inclusion of heating shows that, on average, heating is turned on at the end of September or the beginning of October:

  • 2019 - September 23
  • 2018 - September 25
  • 2017 - September 28
  • 2016 - September 20
  • 2015 - October 4
  • 2014 - September 25
  • 2013 - September 21

First of all, socially significant objects of the city are connected to the heat: hospitals, kindergartens, schools, clinics. At the same time, heating is also supplied to residential buildings. Then the heating is turned on at industrial facilities and offices. In normal mode, the heating in all buildings of Moscow is completely completed within a few days.

If necessary, heat supply to some facilities may begin earlier than the official heating season in Moscow.

When is the heating turned off in Moscow?

If the average daily air temperature rises above 8°C and persists for five days, the Moscow Government decides to turn off the heating. Operational weather forecast is also taken into account.

The cold has come, there are rumors that at night the temperature can drop to minus.

Neither the website of the Mayor of Moscow, nor the website of Mosenergo has any information about whether the heating will be turned on again due to a cold snap.

But I managed to find out from the dispatch service.
Having called the dispatcher of the housing office and asked if the heating would be turned on again, she replied: "Of course, they will not resume heat supply in the apartments!" And she told me why.
Even despite the fact that sub-zero temperatures are possible at night, heat in the apartments should not be expected. The heating system has already been turned off and is awaiting maintenance and repair work. Back, as they say, there is no way. Hot water supply will be turned off in the coming days.

Heat in the apartments can not be expected. More recently, it became known that, due to the low temperature, the schedules for turning off hot water for a period of five days have been shifted. If hot water was previously planned to be turned off on May 10, then due to a cold snap, the shutdown will begin on the fifteenth. Though it pleases.

Today, May 10, it became known that MIPC, due to a cold snap, will resume heat supply to residential buildings until the end of this day.

Why is the heating not turned on in Moscow, despite the sharp cooling? For explanations, we will not turn to the Zhek dispatchers, but we will find out this issue in the Moscow energy company - MIPC.

Heating in apartments in Moscow does not work, despite the fact that on the night of May 8-9, 2017, snow fell in the capital. The outside temperature in some areas of Moscow fell below zero, but even this will not force the city authorities to turn on the heating in the apartments.

As you know, in accordance with the statement of the chief Moscow chief for water and heat, Pyotr Biryukov, in the city by May 2, 2017, the heating was turned off and the heating system of the capital was switched to summer mode. What does this mean?

District and quarterly boiler houses have been switched to summer operation, which means that the main number of boilers at these thermal stations have been extinguished, and those that are working provide heat only for hot water needs. Disconnected (extinguished) boilers have been transferred for repair and maintenance, which means that in most cases it is not possible to re-ignite (turn on) them. The same applies to pipelines and heating points.

Thus, even in the event that the Moscow authorities would like to again give heat to the houses of the city, this is not possible and is fraught with serious material costs. Moreover, in three days, warming will begin in Moscow.

Therefore, Muscovites should not hope that heating will be restored in their apartments, moreover, they should remember: if the heating was turned off due to the end of the heating season, it will be turned on only next autumn.

And you don't have to turn it on. And then they drowned so much that there was nothing to breathe.

When the heating had not yet been turned off, and I no longer had the strength to endure this inferno, I called the management company and asked to "turn up the heat, otherwise it is very cold." Then, however, they realized that I was joking and promised to reduce the power of the boilers.

And who is cold, you can dress warmer (for 5 days) or turn on the heater.
It's just that when it's very hot it's much worse than when it's warm.

The management company sent you correctly. They have nothing to do with boilers. This is the prerogative of MOEK. Automation on boilers and heating points does not make it possible to reduce the temperature and water consumption in such a way that the batteries in the house are slightly warm. It has its own minimums, below which the coolant (hot water in pipes) does not fall. Isn't that why in the West every house has its own boiler. I wanted - I went down to the basement and turned it on, I wanted it - I turned it off. Apparently they care more about their subscribers, as we call heat consumers. And no network costs.

And what do we care about the West? We have our own East))
I prefer to live based on the belonging of the place of birth / residence. And even if I wanted to change something, it is unlikely to succeed.
In any case, the Finns look good, and they love the cold))

Indoor cold is especially good in kindergartens, schools, hospitals and other similar places.

This Biryukov himself should be put in the cold from his warm mansion, so that he pays attention to the weather, and does not turn off the heating to people when the temperature is below zero in the street in Moscow, and even in Khrushchev it’s generally cold, everyone gets sick, and in general such an irresponsible and snickering boss for water and heat, he must be removed from his post and sent to retire, otherwise he doesn’t understand anything what he is doing.

As we see and feel for ourselves, the heating was still turned on in the houses, despite our fears.

And they did it right.
Such a sharp drop in temperature down in May (with trees already blooming and an abundance of young greenery on the ground and trees) is not remembered by the old-timers.

It became uncomfortable and cold in the houses, everyone abruptly began to turn on the heaters, and this is an extra load on the city's energy system.

Utilities, by order of the city authorities, worked quickly, but I would like a day or two earlier. If only they could wait a little longer with the heating turned on, a new massive outbreak of colds could begin.

The cold May weather greatly spoiled the mood of Muscovites and residents of the Moscow region. Cold rain, and sometimes snow, did not give them the opportunity to take a walk in the fresh air during the May holidays and start the summer season normally. They decided to console the people at the city hall and postponed the planned shutdowns of hot water in houses from May 10 to May 15.

Unusually cold weather for May in Moscow has made serious adjustments to the plans of residents of the capital region. They, in particular, had to postpone the start of traditional work in country gardens. However, the weather factor in their activities had to be taken into account not only by summer residents and other lovers of fresh air. The Moscow officials involved in housing and communal services also had to change their work schedule.

As Petr Biryukov, deputy mayor of the capital for housing and communal services, told reporters on Tuesday, May 9, due to abnormally cold weather, preventive shutdowns of hot water in Muscovites' apartments will begin on May 15, and not May 10, as previously planned.

“Due to cold weather, hydraulic tests are postponed from May 10 to May 15,”

The official said.

Earlier, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that Muscovites would expect cool weather with night frosts and daytime temperatures not exceeding plus 10-12 degrees until the end of this week. And only on May 15 the air can warm up to 16-17 degrees.

For the convenience of Moscow residents, who are no strangers to dousing themselves with cold water or heating water in saucepans during the summer months, the Moscow United Energy Company (MOEK) has launched an information service with which Muscovites can find out exactly when their apartment will be disconnected from hot water. They can use the time before the fateful shutdown date either to purchase basins and pots, or to install a boiler. In extreme cases, residents of the apartment, which is first in line for shutdown, will be able to agree in advance with their friends and relatives, who are expected to undergo this procedure later, and wash themselves during maintenance work with them. And those, in turn, will come with bath accessories to visit the "early blackouts" later, when they will also inevitably suffer this fate.

Finding out exactly when your apartment will be left without warm water is very simple: you need to go to the MIPC website and enter your address in the appropriate search box.

According to Moscow government officials, this year maintenance work on the water supply network will affect 71,000 buildings, which include 33,000 residential buildings. During blackouts, the duration of which in Moscow does not exceed 10 days (previously the norm was 21 days), repairs are carried out at district heating stations and central heating points, network diagnostics, and pipeline re-laying. At the same time, experts advise not to turn on the hot water tap at a time when your apartment was disconnected from the hot water supply. The fact is that cold water will flow from it, however, if the residents of this apartment have installed water meters for themselves, then money will be deducted from them for the consumption of actually cold water as for hot water.

Hot water shutdowns have long become an integral part of life not only in Moscow, but throughout Russia. Every time planned shutdowns are carried out, the question inevitably arises: are they really necessary? Moreover, a significant part of the houses in Moscow are new buildings, where communications were brought up recently and, in theory, have not yet had much time to deteriorate. But MOEK claims that hot water in the metropolitan metropolis will be turned off every summer for the foreseeable future. Indeed, although new pipes do not require hydraulic testing and, accordingly, shutdowns, preventive work is still needed from time to time.

“Turning off water is a technical necessity for preparing equipment for the heating season. Do not forget that any mechanism requires maintenance, there is no perpetual motion machine,” the company reminds. They also note that, in addition to heating networks, there are other equipment that require maintenance, such as pumps, heat exchangers, valves, compensators. "Preventive work is carried out in the summer to avoid equipment breakdowns in the winter," the MIPC concluded. However, individual accidents happen in the winter.

But in most Western European countries, hot water is not turned off in the houses in the summer, since usually it is not supplied there centrally, limited only to cold water. And each house usually has its own boiler room. Or those who believe that he needs hot water, buy at their own expense a boiler for the required displacement. And those who do not need it are “hardened” in cold water all year round.

Forecasters denied the connection between abnormal cold in Moscow and global warming

The record cold Victory Day in Moscow should not be associated with global warming - everything is explained by the influx of cold air from the Arctic in the rear of the cyclone, Roman Vilfand, director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, told Interfax.

"No matter how big our capital, the city of Moscow, is, it is not necessary to associate low temperatures the day before with global warming or global cooling, this is beyond the scope of science. The cooling is associated with atmospheric processes - the influence of the southern cyclone and the influx of very cold air masses from the north", Vilfand told the agency on Wednesday.

According to him, the heavy rain and sleet that have been observed in Moscow in recent days can also be explained simply: the frontal section - the zone of collision of warm and cold air - passed right through the territory of the Central Federal District. Precipitation often occurs at the sites of such collisions.

"Everyone is very worried about the cold, and meteorologists are also uncomfortable. We can't do anything here, we can't prevent it, but we can predict it," Vilfand said.

The meteorologist recalled that the past Victory Day in Moscow was the coldest in the history of meteorological observations - since 1879. According to him, never before in the last 130 years did daily temperatures on May 9 fall below +5.0 degrees. Meanwhile, on May 9, temperatures from +3.6 to +4.6 were observed in Moscow.
