This cave is located in the Reach, not far from the Divided Towers, on a vast plateau that is part of Red Eagle Hold Peak. The easiest way to find the cave is to move northwest from Rorikstead. You will have to climb a rather gentle slope, pass one of the Forsworn outposts, Coldwind Bluff, and soon the desired cave will appear. At the entrance there is a small mound of stones, around which human bones are scattered, and a steel sword is stuck into the top of this structure.
However, in search of a clue to the mystery of the tomb of the Red Eagle, you will have to go through the Red Eagle Hold and the Divided Towers and then finding the cave will not be difficult. It is located a little southeast of the towers. Without visiting the stronghold, the location will be available for study only partially.
Reach vegetation dominates in these places - juniper and bearded moss grow in large quantities, blue, red and purple mountain flowers are also found, and mora tapinella grows on stumps.
The animal world is represented by saber teeth, deer and rabbits. In addition, there are wolves and foxes. During the day, many monarchs and blue butterflies flutter in the area. Judging by the presence of nests, birds are also found here.
Outcast patrols can often be encountered on the plateau. Also in these places there are many exits of ore veins to the surface.
Description
Pedestal with a sword
Rebel Cairn- a cave in which the tomb of an ancient illustrious rebel warrior, the limit of Faolan, known as the Red Eagle, is hidden. The location is relatively small, consists of one zone.
Inside, two halls connected by narrow passages can be distinguished, one of which is a natural cavern, and the second is an artificially equipped tomb, in which Faolan's body rests. You can get into the tomb only if you have the ancient sword Fury of the Red Eagle, which plays the role of a kind of key. The weapon must be inserted into the well on a special pedestal, standing in the center of the first hall. The pedestal is illuminated by a beam of light pouring through a gap in the vault. Fury of the Red Eagle is located at the head of the Forsworn tribe, who settled in the Red Eagle Hold camp. That is why you first have to visit the stronghold and go through the Divided Towers in order to explore the location in full.
Natural part of the cave
The situation in the natural part of the cave is rather poor. In addition to the light from the breaks in the roof of the cave, the lighting was realized with the help of massive braziers placed in various places. Also here and there are the attributes of the Forsworn - the heads of goats, deer and spriggans, impaled on stakes.
To the left of the pedestal lies the body of an orc - an unlucky adventurer. Everything around is covered with blood, apparently belonging to this orc. He was wearing a full set of iron armor and was armed with a two-handed weapon (weapon type random: from iron to orc). The unfortunate man will have some gold with him, and next to it lies the book "The Legend of the Red Eagle."
To the right of the pedestal, you can find an iron ore vein. It is also worth noting that a large number of various mushrooms grow in the location, which can be collected, starting from the entrance and almost to the very tomb of the Red Eagle. At the entrance you can find a couple of lavender sprouts.
Tomb of the Red Eagle
The tomb is a spacious room of almost square shape, decorated in the Old Norse style. On the floor and walls you can see bas-reliefs depicting the Red Eagle and the ceremony of his burial. A mystical greenish haze is spreading in the hall and the dust of centuries is raised. In the corners and along the walls you can find only useless Old Norse utensils and a large number of human bones, especially skulls. In the part closest to the entrance, lighting is practically absent; the area next to the sarcophagus, on the contrary, is brightly lit by candles and braziers suspended from the ceiling.
The sarcophagus is set at the far end of the hall. Behind him is a treasury with one large chest containing expensive, random contents depending on the level. On both sides of the chest are two racks. On the shelves and next to the chest you can find a random shield, gloves, two-handed sword, dagger and mace. There are also a couple of soul gems (an empty tiny one and a random one), a leveled healing potion, three different embalming tools, a corrupted book, and five bundles of linen cloth. Next to the chest are a pair of purses with gold (large and medium), on the left shelf of the chest there is a funeral urn with a small amount of coins.
There is another urn near the right wall of the hall, approximately in its center. Nearby there is a small puddle in which a sea acorn grows. On the left side of the hall, next to the steps, there is another small puddle in which you can find three more sea acorns and four killer fish eggs that are not clear how they ended up here. A decent amount of bearded moss has grown under the ceiling of the hall. Unfortunately, it is too high and it is impossible to reach it.
The undead awaken when approaching the sarcophagus, approximately in the middle of the hall. From the sarcophagus, the Red Eagle rises, which is a leveled draugr (up to the commander). Upon awakening, he will reanimate the four skeleton archers closest to the sarcophagus. You can wait until the spell that supports the skeletons dispels and they fall to the floor in lifeless piles of bones.
Skeletons are armed with ancient Nordic bows, for which they have 17–24 ancient Nordic arrows. The restless Faolan brandishes a good ancient Nordic two-handed sword of burning. After his final resting place, there will be some more coins on the corpse.

Firstly, after reading a book called "The Legend of the Red Eagle" You can find it in many places. At the beginning of the game, the easiest way to get this book is in the castle of Jarl Whiterun, in the dragon's limit, namely from his court sorcerer Farengar, in his library.
Secondly, accidentally stumble upon the place where this weapon is located - the Red Eagle Stronghold, then reach the peak of the red eagle, and take the sword from the leader of the outcasts, who wears it.
This sword is the weapon of an ancient rebel hero called Faolan, who was called the Red Eagle. His fate is described in the book “The Legend of the Red Eagle.” After that, the player will have a task to find the sword of the red eagle, and the Red Eagle Stronghold will be marked on the map.
Location Red Eagle Citadel
The stronghold is the most ordinary outcast camp, however, it is very large. It consists of a network of dungeons with draugrs, and the outcast camp itself, in which they live. On the way to the top, the hero will have to lay down more than a dozen outcasts of different levels and with different abilities. When he does get to the peak, he will have to fight the main outcast, who wields the sword of the red eagle.
In addition to the sword itself, there are also useful items in the outcast camp. For example - a book about the school of illusion, which can be found in the dwelling of the outcast shaman, and at least seven chests with valuables that are hidden throughout the camp. The insides of chests are randomly generated.
Thanks to the features of the skyrim game itself, the skyrim red eagle sword can be obtained in many ways: kill everyone by crushing their skulls, or cutting them, or simply incinerating them with fire and lightning, reviving already fallen outcasts with the help of necromancy magic. In the very center stands a pedestal, with a notch in the middle. Nearby is also the body of a dead orc, clad in a full set of iron armor and armed with a random two-handed weapon. To go further, you need to insert the sword of the red eagle into that recess on the pedestal. After that, the player will enter the hall where the red eagle itself is buried. All the walls are decorated with drawings of a red eagle and its burial ceremony. As soon as the player reaches the middle of the hall, the red eagle itself will rise from its tomb, and with it also 5 skeleton archers.
The tactics of the battle against the red eagle is not very tricky: it is better not to let him get close, otherwise he will use thu'um, or simply cut the player with his two-handed sword, which is also enchanted for fire damage. Also, if the player's level is above sixty, the red eagle can become a dragon priest, who, however, cannot scream.
After killing the eagle, you can search the chest behind the sarcophagus, which contains a good treasure. Also, when the sword is removed from the pedestal, it will become stronger. Now called Curse of the Red Eagle, it can now scare away the undead up to level 13.
After reading the entire book The Legend of the Red Eagle, you can get the Red Eagle quest in Skyrim. But to complete this task, it is better to pump well. Already very serious enemies come across on the way. We head to the location of the Divided Towers.
In the camp of the Outcasts, we fight with a dozen enemies and the leader - Outcast Heatherheart. Having won, do not forget to grab some things. First, we take the key to the tower. Secondly, we take the sword YAKO. We also pick up the diary Rite of the Red Eagle, which lies on the sacrificial table opposite the throne of the Outcast. The rest can be taken at will. Only now, it is not recommended to take the Outcast's heart. If it gets into the inventory, then a bug will work, on the quest Repair the Flask, and it will not be possible to make it. It is better to take all quest items when there is a quest on them. After a small battle, we go to the Cairn of the Rebel, which is located not far from the Divided Towers.
Once in the cave, we stumble upon the remains of an adventurer. Next to the corpse lies a familiar book, but it is not whole, but heavily cut off. To enter the next room, you need to insert the Fury of the Red Eagle into the opening of the monument, which is located in the middle in the cave. Having done everything right, the plate will rise and you can go further. In this room, the Tomb will be located. Of course, having heard steps, he will rise from the coffin, and even call for help, in the form of four skeletons - archers. Depending on the level at which to complete the Mystery of the Tomb of the Red Eagle quest in Skyrim, the appearance of the NPC also changes. If you go to 40+, then he can take the form of a Dragon Priest. Then in battle, he will use Shout - disarm. And so, the monster will fight with the Nordic sword of incineration. After cleaning the location, we search the corpse, we take everything we can. Behind the grave there is also a large chest, we must also search it. We pick up the gloves of the master blacksmith, they are exactly what the orcs from Dusnik-Yal are looking for. We are heading for the exit, but first we need to pick up the sword that was left in front of the hall. Except it's now called Curse of the Red Eagle in Skyrim.
Well, okay, but now its price has increased, and the characteristics have improved. On this the riddle is solved, you can return to Dusnik - Yal. But here again there is a small problem. If the hero is not an orc, then you need to have evidence with you that Dovakin can be trusted, and he is a blood brother. This is where the master blacksmith's gloves come in handy, we give them to the leader of the orcs - Burguk. And becoming a brother by blood, you can use some services and goods. Running on various tasks, sometimes you want to speed up the movement around the area, as well as improve some of the characteristics of the character. Increase the level of spells, strength, dexterity. Slightly increase the maximum damage dealt and, of course, add life values. This can be done by changing the appearance of the hero. To do this, you just need to install a program.
