Ranks in Heroes of the Storm: from "Bronze" to "Elite"

In Heroes of the Storm, the skill level of the players or rank, is determined by the player's place in the system leagues and divisions. At the beginning of each season you will need to spend several qualifying matches, which will determine your starting rank. Then, based on the results of each ranked game, you will gain or lose rating points at the end of every game. By gaining (or losing) rating points, you will move between divisions. Players at the top of the table will first be assigned the rank of Master, while later they will be able to reach the rank Elites, which brings together the best players in the world.

leagues All players are divided into certain levels of skill, which we called "leagues". Depending on the level of the league, you can judge the skills of the player. Let's list the leagues in the game in order of increasing skill level: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master League and Elite League.

Divisions Each of the leagues, from Bronze to Diamond, is divided into divisions. Divisions indicate how close a player is to being promoted or dropped down a level. For example, a player with a Platinum 1 rank (Platinum League, Division 1) has a higher rating than a player with a Platinum 4 rank, which, in turn, has a higher rating than a player with a Gold 2 rank .

Seasons Players compete for a position in the rankings for a limited period of time, which is called a season. At the end of each season, the ranks of the players are reset to zero, so that the next season can start with a clean slate. Depending on the maximum rank reached, you will receive seasonal rewards, and your starting rank in the new season is partly based on past success.

Qualifying matches When you open a new season of ranked matches, you need to play 10 qualifying matches for the system to determine your skill level. If you are in a group during these matches that has already qualified, your ranking will not count towards matchmaking until you complete the qualifiers or leave the group. As soon as you play 10 battles, the system will determine your initial rank and you can start gaining rating points.

Rating points After each ranked match, you either gain or lose rating points. The number of points gained or lost depends on several factors: did your team win, was it the favorite in this match (depending on the total rating of your team at the start of the match), did you continue the series of victories or defeats, your personal rank. For winning a match in which you were not a favorite, you will receive more points, and if you lose, you will lose fewer points. By gaining or losing rating points, you can move to higher (or, respectively, lower) divisions and leagues. If your rating drops to zero, you will be moved to a lower division or league. If your rating reaches 1000, you will be instantly moved to a higher division or league. The exceptions are the Master and Elite leagues, which do not have a maximum number of rating points.

Elite After the Diamond League, the ranks of Master and Elite await you. They are the best of the best, and their intense epic battles shake the Nexus to its core. In these leagues, the ranking process is different. Instead of divisions, the emblem of the Master indicates the number of points scored. Players with the most ranking points in the Nexus League receive the Elite rank. Also, to get into the Master's league, you need to complete a seasonal series of tasks. The emblem of the Master indicates the player's place in the elite rating table of the corresponding region (information about the ratings is updated daily).     The first new feature in Heroes of the Storm 2.0 is a completely overhauled progression system!

    We decided to simplify the system and canceled the maximum level of the player, replacing it with the sum of all the levels of the heroes received. At the same time, we also removed the maximum level for heroes, so the possibilities for development became almost limitless.

    We plan to release some major changes that will make Heroes of the Storm even more enjoyable to play: an improved progression system, loot containers, even more interesting battlegrounds inspired by various Blizzard game worlds, new brawl mechanics and, of course, a whole bunch of excellent heroes.

    On the other hand, it took hours to get through the high levels in the old development system. Leveling up is great, and we want your highly evolved heroes to please you as often as possible.

    So, the amount of experience required to gain levels has undergone changes that will solve both problems. In the early stages, it began to require a little more experience to gain levels, and in the later stages it decreased by about 75-80%.

    If the collection starts to burst with treasures, then it's time to give the characters worthy equipment that will delight both friends and enemies.     Makeover of your profile

      Your profile has been completely redesigned - now it's easier to navigate, and new rewards and progress are displayed more clearly in it.

    Gold, crystals and shards

    Heroes of the Storm 2.0 will feature another in-game currency - crystals, as well as a new resource - shards.

    Participate in the Heroes of the Storm 2.0 beta test

    Instructions for participation in testing:
    1. Open the Heroes of the Storm tab in the Blizzard app.
    2. Use the region selection menu above the "Play" button and select "Heroes 2.0 Beta".
    3. Click the big blue "Install" button, log in with your account and start playing!

    Important information for Heroes of the Storm 2.0 beta testers:

    • In the beta version of Heroes of the Storm 2.0, no real money purchases can be made.
      • You will receive crystals for completing weekly tasks that are active only during the beta testing.
    • Any items received or purchased during the beta test will not be kept after the end of the beta.

    New Hero - Cassia

    Fireball
