Svetlana Druzhinina met her future husband when she studied at the directing department. Anatoly was also a student, but on camera. They met by chance while playing volleyball. Two captains of the sports teams of their university met at a basketball game. Mutually erupted feelings did not allow a long delay with the wedding. They both think that god bless their marriage. The couple raised two sons, but Svetlana and Anatoly lost the eldest of them a long time ago, 40 years ago. They have a grandson, Danil, whom his grandparents raised together.
