The birth of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the greatest event in the history of the universe. Prophets in different religions

The prophets of Islam are people chosen by Allah from among the best representatives of a particular tribe or nation. They represent the greatest gift and boon from Almighty Allah, because without them it would be extremely difficult for mere mortals to find their way and make a spiritual choice. The prophets of Islam, explaining the Truth indicated to them by the Almighty, saved people from idolatry and polytheism. They gave people faith in the power of Holy Scripture.

First prophet

The first prophet is Adam Alaihisalam (he is also the first person). It is for this reason that the Muslim faith denies the Darwinian ideas that man is descended from apes. Believers believe that Adam and Eve, descended into the Garden of Eden from Paradise, are our common ancestors.

Gifts of Allah

Prophets of Islam were awarded with specific abilities (subhana wa tala). They could perform actions impossible for ordinary people. However, it must be said that all the prophets of Islam have five immutable qualities:

  1. They only speak the truth - sydk (truthfulness).
  2. People of honor - amanat (fidelity, devotion).
  3. Able to convey the prohibitions and instructions of the Great Allah, despite all sorts of difficulties - tabligh.
  4. Mind, understanding, wisdom, intellect - a fanatic.
  5. Pure in disposition, sinless, as far as possible from sin - ismat.

Messenger of Allah - Muhammad

The prophets of Islam are numerous, but the last and greatest is the Chosen of Allah - Muhammad. He was granted five more subhana wa talya (qualities) to elevate him among the rest of the messengers.

Names of Prophets in Islam

Only twenty-five prophets are mentioned in the text of Holy Scripture. However, there were others who were not named. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to answer the question of how many prophets there are in Islam. Many people were honored to receive knowledge through angels, but not all of them became prophets and messiahs. It is necessary to list the names of these twenty-five messiahs (in brackets are the names in the Koran, without brackets - in the Bible):

  1. Prophets in Islam began with Adam.
  2. Enoch (Idris) is mentioned next.
  3. Then comes Noah (Nuh), already familiar from the Bible.
  4. Salih.
  5. The famous Abraham (Ibraham).
  6. Lut (aka Lot).
  7. Ismail (or Ishmael).
  8. Prophet Isaac (Iskak).
  9. Jacob (Yakub).
  10. Joseph (Yusuf).
  11. Job (Ayub).
  12. Shuaib.
  13. The prophets of Islam include in their list the Old Testament Moses, but under the name of Musa.
  14. Aaron (Harun).
  15. David (Daud).
  16. The famous king Solomon (Suleiman).
  17. Jonah (Yunus).
  18. Ilya (aka Ilias).
  19. Elisha (Al-Isa).
  20. Zulkifl.
  21. Prophet Zechariah (Zakaria).
  22. John the Baptist (Yahya).
  23. The prophets of Islam also include Jesus Christ in their composition, but already under the name Isa.
  24. And finally, Muhammad.

To strengthen faith in the prophets, Allah rewarded them with the ability to work miracles.

The first publication of this poem took place in the Moscow Bulletin (No. 3) for 1828. Presumably, the poem was originally part of a cycle of four poems, under the title "Prophet". According to M. P. Pogodin, “There should be four poems, the first one has just been printed (We are tormented by spiritual thirst, etc.)”. The remaining three poems have not come down to us.

Creation and theme of the poem

The spelling of "Prophet" probably refers to the summer of 1826.

The “middle” point of view consists in the perception of the “Prophet” not as evidence of the deep religious and mystical experiences of the poet himself, but also not as just a talented stylization of one of the religious books: the Bible or the Koran, but as a spiritual ideal that was revealed to the poet at the moment when life and history confronted him with the need to choose a life purpose. Such a point of view on the non-religious nature of Pushkin's prophet is also consistent with the position of Vladimir Solovyov.

He argued that the "Prophet" embodies "the ideal image of a true poet in his essence and highest calling." This work is chronologically the first in a series of Pushkin's poems, in which Pushkin "reveals to us his thoughts or his inner experiences regarding the essential nature and significance of poetry, the artistic genius in general, and the real vocation of the poet. These works - of an unequal nature and unequal artistic merit - are internally interconnected and represent, in essence, only variations of one main theme. These are the poems “The Poet” (“As long as Apollo does not require the poet to the sacred sacrifice ...”), “Echo” (“Does the beast roar in the deaf forest ...”), “To the Poet” (“Poet, do not cherish the love of the people ...”), “ Niello", "Monument"; Mozart and Salieri adjoins the same row. The "Prophet" echoes the previously written "Imitations of the Quran". Further, Solovyov comes to the conclusion that Pushkin's Prophet "is a pure bearer of that unconditional ideal essence of poetry, which was inherent in every true poet, and above all in Pushkin himself in the mature era of his work and in the best moments of his inspiration"

For Muslims, the most significant religious figure is the Prophet Muhammad, thanks to whom the world saw and read the Koran. Many facts from his life are known, which gives a chance to understand his personality and significance in history. There is a prayer dedicated to him that can work miracles.

Who is Prophet Muhammad?

Preacher and prophet, the messenger of Allah and the founder of Islam - Muhammad. His name means "Praised". God through him transmitted the text of the sacred book for Muslims - the Koran. Many are interested in what the prophet Muhammad was like in appearance, so, according to the scriptures, he differed from other Arabs in a lighter skin color. He had a thick beard, broad shoulders and large eyes. Between the shoulder blades on the body there is a "seal of prophecy" in the form of a relief triangle.

When was Prophet Muhammad born?

The birth of the future prophet took place in 570. His family came from the Quraysh tribe, who were the keepers of ancient religious relics. Another important point is where the Prophet Muhammad was born, and so the event took place in the city of Mecca, where modern Saudi Arabia is located. Muhammad did not know his father at all, and his mother died when he was six years old. His uncle and grandfather were engaged in his upbringing, who told his grandson about monotheism.

How did Prophet Muhammad get the prophecy?

Information about how the prophet received revelations for writing the Qur'an is minimal. Muhammad never spoke in detail and clearly on this subject.

  1. It is established that Allah communicated with the prophet through an angel, whom he calls Jibril.
  2. Another interesting topic is how old Muhammad became a prophet, so according to legend, an angel appeared to him and said that Allah chose him as his messenger when he was 40 years old.
  3. Communication with God was through visions. Some researchers believe that the prophet fell into a trance, but there are scientists who are sure that the reason is the weakness of the body due to long fasting and lack of sleep.
  4. It is believed that one of the evidence that the Prophet Muhammad wrote the Koran is the fragmentary nature of the book and this, according to historians, is due to the inspiration of the preacher.

Prophet Muhammad's parents

The mother of the founder of Islam was the beautiful Amina, who was born into a wealthy family, which gave her a chance to get a good upbringing and education. She married at the age of 15, and the marriage with the father of the Prophet Muhammad was happy and harmonious. During childbirth, a white bird descended from the sky and touched Amina with its wing, which saved her from her existing fears. Around were angels who took the child into the world. She died of illness when her son was five years old.

Prophet Muhammad's father, Abdullah, was very handsome. Once his father, that is, the grandfather of the future preacher, made a vow before the Lord that he would sacrifice one son if he had ten of them. When the time came to fulfill the promise and the lot fell on Abdullah, he exchanged him for 100 camels. Many ladies were in love with the young guy, and he married the most beautiful girl in the city. When she was in her second month of pregnancy, the father of the Prophet Muhammad died. At that time he was 25 years old.

Prophet Muhammad and his wife

There is different information regarding the number of wives, but official sources traditionally present 13 names.

  1. The wives of the Prophet Muhammad could no longer marry after the death of their spouse.
  2. They must cover their entire body under clothing, while other women may expose their face and hands.
  3. It was possible to communicate with the wives of the prophet only through the curtain.
  4. They received double recompense for each done.

The Prophet Muhammad married the following women:

  1. Khadija. First wife to convert to Islam. She bore the Messenger of Allah six children.
  2. Sauda. The prophet married her a few years after the death of his first wife. She was pious and pious.
  3. Aisha. She married Muhammad at the age of 15. The girl told people many sayings of her famous husband related to her personal life.
  4. Umm Salama. She married Muhammad after the death of her husband and lived longer than his other wives.
  5. Maria. The Egyptian ruler gave the woman to the prophet, and she became a concubine. They legalized the relationship after the birth of their son.
  6. Zainab. She was in the status of a wife for only three months, and then she died.
  7. Hafsa. The young girl was distinguished from others by her explosive character, which often angered Muhammad.
  8. Zainab. The girl was first the wife of the adopted son of the prophet. Other wives did not like Zainab and tried to present her in a bad light.
  9. Maimouna. She was the sister of the wife of the prophet's uncle.
  10. Juwayria. This is the daughter of the leader of the tribe that opposed the Muslims, but after the marriage the conflict was settled.
  11. Safiya. The girl was born into a family that was at enmity with Muhammad, and she was captured. Released by her future husband.
  12. Ramla. The first husband of this woman changed his faith from Islam to Christianity, and after his death she married a second time.
  13. Raykhana. At first, the girl was a slave, and after the adoption of Islam, Muhammad took her as his wife.

Children of the Prophet Muhammad

Only two wives gave birth to the Messenger of Allah, and interestingly, all his descendants died at an early age. Many are interested in how many children the Prophet Muhammad had, and so there were seven of them.

  1. Qasim - died at the age of 17 months.
  2. Zainab - was married to her father's cousin, gave birth to two children. Died young.
  3. Rukia - was married early and died in her youth, without surviving the disease
  4. Fatima - she was given in marriage to the cousin of the prophet, and only she left the offspring of Muhammad. She died after the death of her father.
  5. Ummu Kulthum - was born after the advent of Islam and died at a young age.
  6. Abdullah - was born after the prophecy and died at an early age.
  7. Ibrahim - after the birth of his son, the prophet made a sacrifice to Allah, shaved off his hair and distributed donations. He died at the age of 18 months.

Prophecies of the Prophet Muhammad

About 160 confirmed prophecies are known, which were fulfilled both during his life and after his death. Consider a few examples of what the prophet Muhammad said and what came true:

  1. He predicted the conquest of Egypt, Persia and a confrontation with the Turks.
  2. He spoke about the fact that after his death, Jerusalem will be conquered.
  3. Claimed that Allah will not give people a specific date, and they must understand that the Day of Judgment can come at any time.
  4. He told his daughter Fatima that she was the only one who would outlive him.

Prayer of the Prophet Muhammad

Muslims can turn to the founder of Islam with the help of a special prayer - salavat. It is a manifestation of obedience to Allah. Regular appeals to Muhammad have their advantages:

  1. Helps to be cleansed of hypocrisy and escape from the fire of Hell.
  2. The Messenger of the Prophet Muhammad will intercede on the Day of Judgment for those who pray for him.
  3. Prayer appeals are a way of cleansing and expiation of sins.
  4. Protects from the wrath of Allah and helps not to stumble.
  5. You can ask for implementation through it.

When did Prophet Muhammad die?

There are a huge number of versions related to the death of the Messenger of Allah. Muslims know that he died in 633 AD. from sudden illness. At the same time, no one knows what the Prophet Muhammad was ill with, which causes many doubts. There are versions that in fact he was killed with poison, and this wife Aisha did it. The controversy over this continues. The body of the preacher was buried in his house, which was located near the Prophet's Mosque, and after a while the room was expanded and became part of it.

Facts about Prophet Muhammad

A huge amount of information is associated with this figure in Islam, while some facts are little known to many.

  1. There is an assumption that the Messenger of Allah suffered from epilepsy. In ancient times, he was considered possessed due to unusual seizures and clouding of consciousness, but these are common symptoms of an epileptic condition.
  2. The morals of the Prophet Muhammad are considered an ideal, and every person should strive for them.
  3. The first marriage was for great love and the couple lived in happiness for 24 years.
  4. Many are interested in what the Prophet Muhammad did when he began to prophesy events. According to legend, the first feelings were doubt and despair.
  5. He was a reformer because the revelations demanded social and economic justice, with which the elite did not agree.
  6. The merits of the Prophet Muhammad are enormous, as it is known that in his entire life he did not offend or defame anyone, while he shunned dishonorable people and gossip.

“And you, Daniel… seal this book until the last time, [when] many will read it and knowledge will increase”… The book of the prophet Daniel hid its secret for centuries - the date of our future hidden in it. Only now is the time to find out what awaits us all.

One of the most impressive moments in the gospel is the chapter in which Christ's disciples ask him about the end of time: "What is the sign of your coming and the end of the age?" (Mat. 24-3) In response, Jesus begins to list all these signs (by the way, very suitable for our time), not forgetting to mention numerous false prophets, and wars, and iniquity, when “the love of many grows cold”. In the Gospel of Matthew, ending this bleak description, Christ pronounces the following words: “He who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all peoples... So, when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of through the prophet Daniel, standing in a holy place—he who reads, let him understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.. . "

Why does Christ, touching on such an important topic as the "end times" and his own Second Coming, suddenly refer to the Old Testament prophet Daniel? Why does he underline these words, placing special emphasis on them: “He who reads, let him understand”? After all, usually in the Bible such phrases - “he who has a mind will count”, “he who has ears, let him hear”, etc. - are hints: something important is hiding in this place.

Following the instructions of Christ and turning to the text of the book of Daniel, one can indeed find a lot of interesting things in it. For example - the exact date of the Second Coming, indicated there quite openly.

Mystery of the Broken Colossus

Everyone knows the expression "colossus with feet of clay", but not everyone knows that it originates from the Book of the Prophet Daniel. This vivid image almost two and a half thousand years ago was seen in a dream by the powerful Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar and was interpreted by Daniel, then still a simple Jewish youth who fell into Babylonian captivity.

In a dream that excited Nebuchadnezzar, the king saw a huge terrible idol, which "had a head made of gold, chest and arms were made of silver, the belly and thighs were copper, the shins were iron, and the legs were partly iron, partly clay." Then the following happened: some stone "torn off the mountain without the assistance of hands, hit the idol, its iron and clay feet and broke them." And then this same stone that smashed the colossus "became a great mountain and filled the earth with itself."

Here is a story that Daniel, thanks to the inspiration that came to him, gave the following interpretation: the golden head of the idol is Babylon, the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar himself, after which the “silver” and “copper” kingdoms will seize world domination in turn. The fourth kingdom that came to replace them will be "strong as iron", and after it the time will come for a strange fifth kingdom, comparable to fragile clay feet. Daniel gave it the name of "the divided kingdom." Well, the stone that finally broke this personification of might and power will mean nothing more than the end of the world order familiar to people and completely new laws that will then begin to rule on earth: “and the God of Heaven will raise up a kingdom that will never be destroyed; it will crush and destroy all kingdoms, and itself will stand forever” (Dan. 2-44).

As a matter of fact, all this perfectly agrees with the words of Christ about the “end of times”, and with the new era promised by him, when love and harmony will come to earth. To find out more precisely when all this will happen, it is enough to read other dreams and visions from the Book of Daniel - in them the prophet describes in detail and surprisingly correctly the pictures of distant times for him.

World history seen in a dream

Let's try to trace the coincidence of the predictions about the "iron colossus" with the real events of world history.

So, according to the first prophecy, the “golden kingdom” of Babylon was supposed to eventually give way to the “silver” - and in 539 BC this really happened when Babylon fell under the pressure of the troops of the Persian king Cyrus. The entire civilized world passed into the hands of the Persians for several centuries, until in turn the empire of Cyrus was conquered by a Greek named Alexander the Great. The most interesting thing is that Daniel not only foresaw this successive change of "kingdoms", but also accurately mentioned all three of the above-mentioned world powers: Babylonian, Persian and Greek.

So, describing one of his visions, in which a warlike goat wins a ram in a fight, Daniel explains: “Aries is the king of Persia, and the shaggy goat is the king of Greece”. The coincidences with real history here are truly incredible, because the Macedonian conquests were defended from Daniel for centuries! There is even an opinion among scientists that the “Book of Daniel” was being written by someone in the time of Alexander, but there is no evidence for this, and this conclusion was made by scientists only because of the seeming impossibility of such amazing knowledge of the future.

However, Daniel also described events much further away from him in time, telling under the guise of a “fourth, iron kingdom” about the next stronghold of civilization - the great Roman Empire. The European culture of Rome, which replaced the eastern one, was unlike anything that had existed before. Her power, based on a clear organization and subordination, made Daniel compare her to a soulless beast, “devouring and crushing” everything in its path. However, one cannot but agree with the prophet, remembering how powerfully and harshly Rome imposed its rules on the peoples under its wing.

As for the fifth "divided kingdom", its description surprisingly resembles ... the current world order. Judge for yourself: after the collapse of the Roman Empire, the unipolar model of the world really changed to a multipolar one. And although there have always been strong powers that claimed world domination, in fact the planet was divided into several large spheres of influence, which is very consistent with the prophecies of Daniel: “And the fact that you saw the feet and toes part of clay, and part of iron, then the kingdom will be divided, and in it there will remain a few fortresses of iron ... And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom will be partly strong, partly fragile".

After such amazing “coincidences”, I want to know more about that part of the history of the “colossus with feet of clay”, which cannot yet be read in any textbook, since it is related to our future. Moreover, as you can understand, the future is not far off.

The exact date of the Second Coming

Let's once again remember the words of Christ: "... when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken through the prophet Daniel." Summing up his prophecies, Daniel directly indicates the timing of the events he predicted, when the old world order should be replaced by a new, much more just one:

“From the time of the cessation of the daily sacrifice and the setting up of the abomination of desolation, one thousand two hundred ninety days. Blessed is he who waits and reaches thousand three hundred thirty five days".

Finding out the date behind these numbers is easy. It is enough to take into account a few points.

First, this passage refers to the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem. The fact is that in Judaism only in this Temple can sacrifices be made, and the destruction of the shrine leads, respectively, to the "cessation of the daily sacrifice." In total, there were two Jerusalem Temples in the history of the Jewish people, the first of which was destroyed by King Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC. A contemporary of this event was the prophet Daniel.

Secondly: the word "day" in Hebrew is a flexible concept, literally meaning "epoch", "a period of time". In the Bible, “days” often means years, as, for example, in the prophet Ezekiel : "I have determined the years for you by the number of days ... I have determined the day for the year for you"(Ezek. 4-5).

Considering all this, one can easily find out how much time should pass from the historical date - the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple (“the cessation of the sacrifice”) to the joyful days of bliss. It is enough to add both numbers (1290 and 1335 years) and add them to the date 586 BC.

It turns out 2039.

It turns out that by this very near time, our modern “divided kingdom” should be replaced by a new, completely different one. Unlike the previous change of “kingdoms”, this will take place in a completely new way, because the “colossus” thirsting for unlimited power will be defeated and forever remain in the past. How exactly this will happen is unknown. But the main thing is that the new era, according to the promise of the prophet, will be much more just than the previous ones.

And further. In the last chapter written by Daniel, there is a mysterious phrase spoken to the prophet in a vision. “And you, Daniel, hide these words and seal this book until the last time, [when] many will read it and knowledge will increase” (Dan.12-4).

It turns out that at the right time the predictions should have been “printed out” and understood to the end? If so, then this time has already come, especially since the promise of the “end times” on the threshold of a new, just “kingdom” does not sound as sad as the end of all times in general.

People have always been interested in the spiritual side of life. Since ancient times, the realization has come that everything can not be so meaningless. That's it in the search for the essence of mankind came partly to religion, philosophy and atheism. If the latter categories are more focused on understanding the role of a person, then the first is on relationships with a higher principle.

How can one understand God if no one has seen Him? That's what prophets are for. or intermediaries who are able to hear and convey the will of the Lord to ordinary people.

Prophets in different religions

Soothsayer, interpreter, "speaking ahead." These synonyms show how people understood the term "prophet." This is the definition of the word, but not its deep meaning.
Such people are known in all religions of the Near and In some faiths there was only one such person (Zoroastrianism - Zatarushtra), in others there were many. But most accurately defines the task

The Koran says that such people are sent to Earth to return humanity to monotheism.

Eliyahu (Elijah)

One of the most famous prophets of Israel who lived in the ninth century BC. He was born and raised in the town of Theswa. His name means "my God" in Hebrew. In Russian, the name reads "Ilya" (Eliya).

As a champion of the true faith, Eliyahu opposed King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, who decided to return the cult of Baal and Astarte to Israel.

In the process of fighting with the rulers, he showed several miracles. For example, he stopped raining for a while, and then, at his word, it started to rain. He brought hunger and brought down fire from heaven to earth. It is also believed that he was fed by birds and angels. For his merits, Elijah was taken alive to heaven. It is this example of virtue and defense of the faith that illustrates what a "prophet" is.

He is honored not only in Christianity. In Judaism, they believe that he should anoint the Messiah; in Islam, Elijah is known as Ilyas.

Even in Orthodoxy, he is famous for his fiery chariot, the only attribute that is repeated in all religions.

Joshua

If you thoroughly study the sources regarding the term "prophet", the analysis will give unexpected results. Such people were not always peaceful, and often, judging by the Bible, very warlike.

Jesus son of Nava, originally called Hosea, received his name from Moses. Together they emerged from Egyptian slavery, and soon he was in command of a detachment of Jews.
Subsequently, Navin becomes the direct successor of Moses and leads the expansion of the Israelites to the Holy Land.

First of all, with the help of angels, he compares Jericho to the ground. This city was famous for its impregnable walls, but thanks to a certain ritual, they turned into dust.

During the conquests, he exterminates the population of the captured cities to the root.
He subjugated to the people of Israel the whole land from Gaza to Gibeon and called to worship only the Lord, and not different gods, as in Egypt.

Thus, we sorted out a little with the concept of a prophet - who is it, what did such figures do, judging by the Christian and Jewish traditions. Now let's see what Muslims think about this.

Types of Prophets in Islam

This religion in the texts of sacred books and comments to them pays special attention to the prophets. Twenty-eight of them are mentioned. According to the Koran, this category of people is distinguished by the presence of five qualities at the same time.

First, they are always honest, even if something threatens their lives.

The next feature is loyalty and commitment to the concepts of honor. That is, they will not let their followers down.

A prophet is a person who is wiser and more understanding than the rest and surpasses them in everything.

Fourth principle. They convey the words of Allah, regardless of difficulties such as disbelief, aggression and others.

Last quality. These messengers are always sinless both in deeds and in thoughts.

So, we figured out what a prophet is in Islam. Let's now see what categories Muslim theologians divide them into.

Firstly, it is "nabi", actually a direct translation of the word "prophet" into Arabic. These people meet the five qualities listed above, but do not receive a message from Allah for everyone. Only guides in terms of personal actions. They convey to the people in the next generations what the "rasul" received.

Idris

According to scholars of the Holy Scriptures, he is identified with Enoch. This is a descendant of the third son of Adam and Eve Seth. According to the Koran, he lived for about 350 years, according to the Bible - 365.

It is believed that Idris gave people the knowledge of the alphabet, astronomy, taught how to make clothes. In addition, for merit, he was taken to heaven alive.

The hadith says that during his miraj Muhammad met him in the fourth heaven. It is said that he, along with Eliyahu, will appear before the Second Coming.

Nuh

Probably the most famous prophet is Noah or Nuh in the Arabic tradition. Even the most notorious atheists are familiar with his name. Still, judging by the Holy Scriptures, it was he who built the ark and saved the representatives of mankind, as well as a pair of each type of animal. In other words, we owe our existence to him. Let's see what is said about this in Islam.

Muslims consider Noah to be the messenger who received instructions directly from Allah and passed them on to people. Judging by the Koran, Nuh, at the age of fifty, goes to the "infidels" in order to direct them to the true path. But all his attempts were unsuccessful. Even his son turned away and joined the pagans.

Then the prophet asks Allah to send misfortunes to the offenders, in response, it stops raining over the fields of the infidels. But it did not help. Then Nuh prays for the destruction of all infidels. An angel comes to him with the news that his request has been heard. It is necessary to plant date seeds and start building the ark. When these trees bear fruit, there will be a great flood. Only those on the ship will be saved.

About 80 people and many different birds and animals survived after the disaster. Nuh is often referred to as the "second Adam". The modern races are believed to have descended from his sons.

Ibrahim

In the Middle East, the most revered prophet is Abraham, or Ibrahim. He is called the ancestor of the Jews and Arabs. From his son Ismail descended the Arabs, and from Yitzhak the Israelites.

Ibrahim is recognized as a rasul and the first person who began to preach monotheism. The verses of the Qur'an say that he became disillusioned with the representatives of his people who worshiped idols, and began to urge them to change their faith. They wanted to burn Abraham for damage to the temple, but the angels transferred him with his relative Lut to Palestine.

Here Ibrahim builds the Kaaba, from a barren wife, thanks to prayers, he has a son. He passes the test of faith when Allah asked him to sacrifice his child.

In principle, Muslims consider this prophet a Hanif. This word means that he was respectable and orthodox, but did not preach Islam, since this religion did not exist then.

Yusuf

According to the Scriptures, this man had a very beautiful appearance and the gift of correctly interpreting dreams. For these virtues, his elder brothers hated him and threw him into a well so that the caravaners would find him and sell him into slavery.

The father, Yakub, was told that the younger son had been torn to pieces by a wolf. But the prophet Yusuf was able not only to survive, but also to succeed significantly. At first, he became the favorite of all the Egyptians in the capital, but because of his refusal to share a bed with the pharaoh's wife, he ended up in prison. They released him from there only after he correctly interpreted the dream to the pharaoh and saved the Egyptian people from starvation.

Subsequently, the prophet Yusuf becomes a government official, the custodian of food and takes his relatives to him from hungry Palestine.

Muhammad

Without a doubt, the Prophet Muhammad is the most revered historical figure in everything. He is considered a messenger, and after mentioning his name, devout Muslims always add "peace and blessings from Allah be upon him." Judging by research data, this man lived only sixty-one years, but the legacy that has remained for centuries still plays an important role.

Sharia (religious and which the prophet Muhammad brought to people, is considered the only true one in Islam. Arab scholars say that each messenger of God came to earth with a set of rules for his era, and so Mohammed was the last of a series of prophets. The next phenomenon will mean the beginning of Judgment Day .

Thus, in this article, we have figured out who the prophets are and got to know some of them.

Good luck, dear readers!
