Do a task on a raft on a taiga river. On a raft on the taiga river. Control dictation on the topics “Preposition”, “Union”

Rafting on the Angara River is perhaps one of the most wonderful types of active family vacation for children in our Krasnoyarsk region. My father took his children on such trips for forty years. How many times did he have friction with his superiors at work, because for forty years his father took vacation only in July... But everything ended well, and trips resumed.

How it was

Why, living on the Yenisei, did the father take his children so far, to the Angara? The fact is that the water in the Yenisei is icy, and swimming in this river, if you are not a “walrus,” even on the hottest days is very risky. The banks of the Yenisei are rocky, and the river itself is deep, powerful, more suitable for fishing than for water recreation.

The Angara is a wide river, closer to the mouth it is always warm. In the area where the Taseyev River confluences on the Angara there are many sandy islands. They change their position almost every year, washed away by ice and washed up again spring water. Usually they are sandy or overgrown only with willow grass.

My father recruited a team of children from ten to twelve years old with similar interests. He tried to take no more than fifteen children with him, otherwise it would be very difficult to cope with them, especially on the road.

In the seventies, they rafted on wooden rafts, then switched to the more comfortable and practical PSN (PSN - inflatable life raft, can be for six or ten people), which are now sold in almost every tourist store.

The journey began with the group traveling by bus to the village located opposite the mouth of the Angara River, and then on a regular meteor along the Angara to the village of Motygino. There, right at the pier, we pumped up the rafts with the kids and sailed downstream. Somewhere towards evening, the rafts landed on the chosen island, and the tourists set up camp. This first day, in fact, was the most difficult of the entire trip.

Then a week of relaxation on the island, where various events were held every day:

  • initiation into “waterfowl tourists”;
  • bathing day;
  • fishing day;
  • athlete's day - beach volleyball on wide sandbanks, a very interesting activity;
  • Sweet tooth day - who can cook condensed milk in a jar so that it tastes good? This is for older children, otherwise an exploding can can burn you, although in forty years this has never happened;
  • day of farewell to the island.

The participants in the hikes did not take with them either a radio or a tape recorder, but they always had a guitar with them, and every evening around the fire they all sang bard songs together. Those children who once went rafting with their father have long since become adults. But when they meet their father, they always remember these evening bonfires with songs on rafting...

How do beach resorts around the world differ from each other? Almost nothing - everywhere the same umbrellas, couches, sand and water...

How do our trips differ from holidays in the south? Mainly, the virgin wild nature around - more than once a bear came ashore and roared, more than once we saw a pack of wolves. At the same time, the island is completely safe, since it is located far from the coast, and the width of the Angara near the mouth of the Taseyeva River reaches almost eight kilometers. It is clear that children are delighted with such adventures: “A real wild bear!" And then all night long conversations: "What if he swims to our island!" - "And then I hit him with a stick - so, so! He will run away." It is unlikely that any zoo will give even a drop of such childish inspiration as the feeling that real bears are walking there on the shore!

And fishing! You can't do serious fishing on the islands, but it's a haven for children. You can catch spruce trees, perches, and brushes with a fishing rod; the fish bite without stopping, even on an empty hook. It is simply impossible to tear the boys away from this activity. By the way, the girls never refused such fishing.

Another advantage of relaxing on the Angara is that there are very few people around. True, in recent years everything more families and organized groups of tourists raft in the manner described, but there are still enough islands for everyone, so that each family owns an autonomous piece of land.

Sleep in tents, in sleeping bags, it’s warm. Mosquitoes and midges, which are so annoying in the taiga, are completely absent on the sandy, wind-swept islands. Therefore, sunbathing and swimming there is a real pleasure.

Perhaps the only drawback of these alloys is the Siberian weather. There is only one month of the year, July, when there is almost no rain. But if it will rain, and with the wind, a real storm rises on the Angara. It does not pose any danger, the main thing is not to raft down the river at this moment.

In such weather we sat in tents and told pirate stories - the kids squealed with delight! This is a real adventure of sea corsairs! It’s good that it usually rains for a day or two, and then again the sun and the beautiful Siberian sky, like no other country in the world - raise your hand, and here it is in your palms, blue and endless!

The most interesting game, which the children played - of course, the "Indians". Everyone came up with a name for themselves, like “Wild Deer”, “Morning Dawn”, etc. The children covered themselves with twigs from the willow cloth and made various Indian decorations from them. They fought Indian battles and played Indian hide and seek... Do you think it’s impossible to hide on a sandy island? As much as possible! Sometimes the whole camp spent two hours searching for some talented Indian spy. And they found it hidden in the foliage in the depths of the talik, in which twilight reigns even on the sunny day. The especially talented ones buried themselves entirely in the sand, wearing a swimming mask and exposing only a pipe made of Siberian reed to breathe... Wow, unforgettable!

During all the years of rafting, my father had one problem that could not be solved. Do you think it's something serious? No. The problem was how to preserve the condensed milk. On all trips, in different groups children on the island, from a box buried under their father’s tent, condensed milk evaporated in the most incredible way... And once even half a bucket of blueberries disappeared. It’s just that, apparently, the hunter’s tradition is passed down from generation to generation of little tourists - to get something sweet for dinner.

Getting ready for the road

Here are some tips for those who want to spend their vacation rafting on the rivers of Siberia.

What should you take with you first? Just don't be scared: a man with a gun.

Still, you are not going to the Bahamas to relax, but to the real taiga. There are bears, wolves, and - most importantly - people there... The presence of a “man with a gun”, who, preferably, has experience visiting the taiga and Siberian expanses - this is the most important thing in the recreation of savage tourists. And if your guide has experience in group travel, you will not only get rid of unexpected guests, but, as is usual with real taiga inhabitants, household device the camp will be at the highest level.

The second thing you will have to take with you is rafting equipment. If there are three, four, or even five of you with children, then a large one will do. rubber boat. The main thing is to first check it for buoyancy in the nearest body of water. The boat should not let you down even in the most difficult moment of your life, when you are sailing through the sea, and insidious sharp stones will swim up to your boat and try to pierce it from all sides.

Don't forget to take with you a boat repair kit: rubber glue - preferably "glue No. 88", a supply of rubber, a piece of sandpaper and a small bottle of gasoline for stripping rubber. You should also take instant glue with you - it can help you out on the go if one of your passengers mechanically sticks a knife into the side. To reach the shore, instant glue is enough.

If you have the opportunity to raft on PSN, then this is the best option. Not only can it withstand a force seven storm, moreover, it is virtually unsinkable. One day, right in the middle of the river, the bottom of our raft came off. Father, holding his backpacks with his feet as they sank to the bottom, calmly swam to the shore, and only there we learned that all our blankets had to be dried by the fire until the morning.

PSN-6 is the most convenient and not so heavy means of river rafting for a group of one to seven people. Somehow 12 passengers had to float on such a raft, and nothing...

Come on, bite!

Mosquitoes! Until you get to the sandbanks and wonderful islands, these amazing creatures will drink your blood, despite any precautions.

Remember - not a single ointment helps against these kamikaze vampires! Then why pay more? You can buy any ointment against mosquitoes - you will still have to put up with their bites.

The advice from an experienced taiga hunter is this: let them bite you and endure it. Usually on the second day the body gets used to it, and mosquitoes only circle around you, land on your skin, but do not bite. If you turn out to be a unique person and you are bitten for a day, two, three, then smear yourself with tar mixed with triple cologne - however, this is not very useful for the skin, but it repels all blood-sucking creatures, including vampires.

The second is to smoke by the fire. You just need to stand in the smoke, so that your clothes are saturated with smoke. It helps, and even a lot. In addition, do not wear a lot of clothes - the smell of sweat is very attractive to various blood-sucking creatures. This has often happened to us - we walk around naked to the waist and don’t get bitten, but next to us are people in camouflage and next to them is a whole swarm of mosquitoes, spiders, horseflies, mosquitoes and midges...

However, modern industry has found a way to combat these insects in tents. For perhaps ten years now, we have been able to sleep peacefully and happily at night in a tent, thanks to the coils. This is done like this: light the coil in the tent, closing the tent completely. After about twenty minutes, open the tent, extinguish the coil and ventilate it. The smell still lingers and mosquitoes do not fly inside. Then you calmly go to bed in a ventilated tent, carefully sealing it. Good night...

Just remember that spider webs, gadflies and other heavy-duty insects are not attacked by anything at all, but what saves you is that they fly only during the day and in very hot weather. And they are not found on the islands at all.

Settling down for the night

Which is better - a sleeping bag or a blanket? There are people who are accustomed to sleeping bags, and there are those who simply cannot fit into this “Procrustean bed.” Therefore, if you take regular blankets with you, then this is in many ways even better. Some of the blankets are spread under the bottom of the tent, and with the other half you cover yourself and sleep as if at home on a feather bed.

Just don't take wadded blankets! They will still be saturated with moisture, and one day you will not be able to tear them off even from the floor... Only strong people can handle such weights. All these synthetic padding blankets and sleeping bags are also not sugar. You will definitely burn them by the fire, believe me. That’s why camel blankets, beloved since childhood, are the best thing when traveling.

If you have a synthetic Chinese tent, it is better to immediately throw it into the fire; it will still burn from a random spark. There is nothing better than Russian canvas armor-piercing cocked hats. They will hold back everything - a mosquito raid, the fall of air-to-ground missiles, and the splashes of fire from a fire!

Travel ration

Food is serious! First, take a 5-liter pot and a tripod with you - these are sold in any tourist stores. I don’t like aluminum cookware, but it’s good for traveling - it’s light and doesn’t take up much space.

  • Bread can be bought in the villages on the Angara - just remember that from Friday to Monday it simply may not be in stores... They have their own bakeries and they cook only for their own.
  • Horns, noodles, pasta are a universal product of the “wild” traveler. But remember that without condensed milk or stew it is inedible!
  • It is not recommended to take everything that is in glass jars. You have to carry this on yourself... And it also breaks at the most inopportune moment.
  • Taking candy with you means eating sweet porridge with paper.
  • There will have to be a complete ban on alcohol - the taiga does not forgive the loss of vigilance.
  • In the end - noodles, stew and that's it... But you won't even notice it there. And of course, a little potatoes, bay leaves, a little black pepper and 100 grams - you know what dish it’s for!

Fishing! Be sure to take gear with you, but the Angara is a fast river, and that’s why even fishing rods there are like throwaways. A large sinker, a line on which a hook or two is strung.... Throws in like a hook, and believe me, the catch will make you very happy! If you know how to fish with a spinning rod, you can’t do without a huge pike. Or maybe the king of taste, taimen will come across!

Once, a long time ago, while fishing, I was asked: “What is the most delicious fish?” Of course, I answered: "Black caviar. Oh! Black! Caviar!" They said to me: “Have you never fished? Have you ever tried taimen liver in your ear?” And I tried it... And even though foreigners pay a lot of money for black caviar, we know that it is the most delicious in the world! Have you ever eaten lightly salted tungun? Clearly, we didn't eat...

How to get there

Only the most experienced and oldest taiga dweller knows how to get to the islands. And also someone who can read maps.

In the morning we leave by bus from Krasnoyarsk to the village of Shirokiy-Log. We go out there and go straight to the shore. Are we waiting for a regular meteor, or a rocket, or whatever else is going on? But it runs every day - it’s social transport, and therefore it always happens. The cost is average. Times are changing very quickly here, so it makes no sense to write a price.

We sail to the village of Motygino - it’s only two hours. There, after getting off the ship, it is best to immediately move further away from the village, board a boat, and go. Another two hours of the best water travel in the world, and on the left you see the islands. To moor to them, it is better to immediately swim to the left along the channel behind the buoys, otherwise it will blow you ten kilometers below, and you will never get to the islands...

And now you are in paradise for a week. We promise that for the next forty years you will always have a vacation only in July!

The dew was cold and abundant - real September dew. She splashed in the face with tall grass, dripped from the trees into the river, and slow circles spread across the dark water. I got wet through with this dew and made a fire. Smoke rose to the tops of the larches and spruce trees. Thin larch needles kept falling from above, although there was no wind. A bird was chattering on the larch tree near the fire. It seemed that this bird was the local forest hairdresser, that it was cutting the pine needles, snapping scissors, pouring these pine needles down: on my head, on the river, on the fire.

I dried myself and looked at the river. Yellow leaves floated in islands and, clinging to snags, stopped. New piles of leaves floated up behind them. They dammed the river, then began to slowly turn, escape from the tenacious paws of the snags and, finally, broke away and flew away, either lighting up like gold (they were caught in the sun), then going out and turning black (a shadow from the bushes fell on them).

On the river, from the time of the fighting, there were abandoned crossings - rafts overgrown with alder, and individual logs stuck aground. They foamed the water around them.

07/20/1978. Get up early in the morning. For the first time, Gadzhi contacted our other units. They too have already been thrown into the taiga. It’s good that the walkie-talkie works, otherwise we thought that we would be without communication.
I did some exercises, hung on the horizontal bar, and ran over alluvium boulders for about 500 meters. Breakfast.
Gadzhi prepared his signature dish. It is done like this: the vermicelli is soaked in water, fried in a frying pan for a bit, and then boiled with the addition of stew. It’s strange, but I didn’t eat much, just one cup. We got ready to go. We had to make a big forced march that day to get to the Uchur River. I took my camera, my big spoon and my diary with me so as not to interrupt my notes. And now we are already stomping towards Mount Sayan. Along the way, we carried out geological observations, basically the same route, only very long.
All around are the same gray dolomites, the same quartz sandstones, siltstones, silicitolites. And the backpack on my shoulders is voluminous and weighty, and even a gun and a hammer. I go and beat the stones with a hammer. It’s easy and pleasant to walk through the taiga, especially considering that I just recently gave up smoking. And all around is a monotonous, dull landscape: larches thick as a finger, moss springing underfoot. Let's go and look for a stone so we can hit it with a hammer and see what's inside. However, there are few stones, everything is covered with turf. The relief is poorly expressed, there are no obvious references to the terrain, so very often we look at the compass and follow the azimuth. Twelve route kilometers ended in the upper reaches of the Sayan stream. The alluvium contains the same rocks as in Yuyut-Siebit, only here siltstones with sandstones predominate over dolomites. On the shore we fell from fatigue, as if knocked down. We ate rhubarb, which grows here in abundance. We ate two cans of stew, drank tea, and swam in the stream. The heat was unbearable all day, like being in a dry steam sauna. Now we will go to the mouth of the Sayan, which is a small river, but in some places it is waist deep. Gadzhi is in waders, he feels good. And I have short rubber ones, and Volkov has even kirzachi. But I’m cunning, I took off my pants and boots and stomped around, easily overcoming the water obstacles. And Gadzhi was insuring Volkov, and so they walked along the swampy bank all the time. And the Sayan is very winding, with many channels and tributaries, swamps, lakes, but there is no fish to be seen. While Gadzhi and Volkov bypass all this water wealth on the tenth road, I wander directly along the main channel barefoot. Ah, summer! Last time I saw Gadzhi and Gennady 3-4 kilometers from our last stop, where we had lunch (or dinner? Because the meal was at 18:00). They then walked along the right bank, and I along the left. I went out to the pressure, where the river licked bare rocks and seethed among huge boulders, and took my bearings using the tablet. There were 2.5 kilometers left to the mouth of the Sayan from six taiga, river, and swampy areas. There were dog tracks along the river, probably the Evenks were hunting nearby... The sun set, mosquitoes appeared and began to bite. They were there before, but I had no time for them, I didn’t notice them. It was heard from behind the bend of the channel: - Ay! Hey! I also yelled in response, stretching my vocal cords and moved on. I almost got stuck in a swamp, surrounded by lakes. Once again I checked the compass and followed the azimuth to the mouth, turning away from the river into the swamp. At 20:00 I went to see Uchur. A large river, 500 meters wide, with islands, with banks overgrown with mighty larches, pines and spruces.
There is not a soul around. Gadzhi and Gennady are nowhere to be seen or heard, they are completely behind. I made a fire and waited for them to stamp their feet. I dried my pants and foot wraps by the fire. I looked at the map and discovered that the Tomptokan barracks should be nearby.
- Aw! Whoa!, I shouted a little. Then he wrote a note: “I went to the Tomptokan barracks. I've been waiting here for you for an hour. 07/20/78 21:45. Kostya” And he went downstream, along the left bank of the Uchur. After about half a kilometer I heard the sound of a shot somewhere in the distance and returned back to the mouth of the Sayan. He shouted, they responded: - Hey, hey! Kostya!
They knock on wood with an ax. I was about to go upstream of the Sayan, through the swamp, pushing through the bushes, screaming, they respond, but their voices are getting quieter and quieter. I’m just at a loss: either the river is making a big detour here, or they’re not on the Sayan, but in general God knows where... And here it’s still getting dark with all its might. Surely they got out somewhere from the river, because there is no dry place near the river, only swamps and lakes. And only kikimoras and goblins enjoy spending the night in the swamp. In general, I swore from the bottom of my heart and turned back to Uchur. Not far from the shore I found the remains of a deer enclosure and made a fire in the middle of it. Firstly, the corral seems to protect me from uninvited guests, and secondly, it has a lot of dry branches that are quite suitable as firewood for keeping the fire burning. I unwrapped the insert and cover, polyethylene and went to bed at 00:30.

07/21/78. I slept a little. At 02:30 I woke up, freezing as hell. And then the wolves howled:
- Oooh! It feels like the wolves are somewhere very close. The dream has vanished! He grabbed the gun and fired into the air. The gun is loaded with small shot, the wolf doesn’t give a damn about it... only they don’t know it, so they quieted down, hid, probably, waiting until I fall asleep again, then they’ll get to me. Shish, can't wait! I won't sleep anymore! The cold comes from the ground permafrost however, a damp and cold fog also spreads from the river. I throw branches into the fire. I drank tea. I have tea with me, an almost full pack, a large pot, three mugs, four spoons (counting my big one) and a test bag of crackers. They got all the stew, sugar, crackers. Unhappy people, how will they eat the stew without spoons? The knife is a bad omen...Ha ha... I have a lot of dishes, but not enough food, they have few dishes. But there is a lot of food... A dense fog is spreading over Uchur, even the nearest shore is not visible. Then some of the water appeared, then the river became wider and wider, and finally the far bank appeared, the right one - still covered with creeping fog. And it seemed that this sea lay in fog... But soon the sun melted everything with its pleasant warmth, the mirage of fog disappeared. The huge Uchur and I remained in the forest. At about six in the morning I packed my things, put my gun, backpack and field bag on my shoulders. I left a note on a piece of paper: “I’m going to the barracks of Tomptokan. I also hope that you are there... In short, I’m waiting for you.”
He shouted a little, yelled and moved his sandals in the dewy grass, down the course of the Uchura River. I walked slowly, checking the area with the sheet of the tablet, and saw a miracle: tracks of the elk lie everywhere, but there is not even half a bullet to the gun, there is only a fraction and that is zero. I walk along the shore, roll over the gigantic trunks of fallen larches, but the barracks are still not visible. Suddenly, the eye falls on the imprint of someone’s clawed wide paw; it’s a bear’s footprint. And there are plenty of wolf tracks everywhere here. And the nights here are quiet... After a sleepless night, when every minute you feel the presence of wild animals nearby (they are curious, they wonder who came to them in the taiga and why.. Everything here is simply teeming with animals!), you feel your senses becoming heightened. There are only wolves here, like uncut dogs... Finally I made it to the barracks. They are within easy reach, but the path is blocked by a deep channel. I had to look for a ford and take off my pants and crossed. I had just dropped off my things near the bathhouse when two dots appeared in the distance, Gadzhi and Gennady. I hurried to meet them, but as soon as Gennady and Gadzhi reached the channel, Gadzhi began to scold me:
-Where did you go? Why didn't you wait for us?
“What are you doing,” I made excuses, “you’ve disappeared somewhere.” I was walking along, and then lo and behold, you weren’t in sight....
I helped them cross the channel, since I already knew where the ford was. Gadzhi, meanwhile, dryly and formally continued to scold me:
- What if you were lost? (I would be the one who would get lost, ha-ha-ha!)...So, student, keep in mind that in the future, don’t look away, wait! And if something like this happens again, you will have to be removed from the internship and reported to the institute.
“Yes, okay, Gadzhi, I understand... I’ll correct myself, I won’t do it again,” I answered conciliatoryly and soothingly.
“Did you hear the wolves howling at night?” I asked them. No, wolf howl They didn’t hear it, and they didn’t hear my shot either, but they saw wolf tracks on the river, those that I at first mistook for dogs. Gadzhi did not terrorize me for a long time, especially since he was overcome by a thirst for activity. He began to look for something between the barracks. It turned out that in the bushes there was a camouflaged gasoline barrel covered with a tarpaulin. The top lid had been cut off, and in it lay some bags, canned food and some other things.
“Wow, a treasure!” I rejoiced.
“This is not a treasure,” Gadzhi objected, “I asked the helicopter pilots to drop off supplies for us so that we would have less to drag here through the Sayans...
Well, everything turned out to be so prosaic, and I thought that we had found a treasure...
We had breakfast. The sun rose and it immediately began to get hot. I made myself a comfortable bed and fell asleep right under the sun. I woke up sweating like a mouse. I got out of the liner, sunbathed a little and went to the river to brush my teeth. Approaching the shore, I was startled by something big. coastal grass. Fish! Gadzhi and Gennady are nowhere to be seen.... I made a fishing rod, hung the gun on my shoulder and went downstream to fish. But the fish impudently stood in trellises along the shore and refused to bite. These are such huge pikes, almost a meter long! As the song sang: “We caught forty spotted pikes alone!” However, apparently it was not my fate to catch them; it didn’t work out for me with them mutual love... Gena appeared with wet hair and was bathing. The sun is unbearably hot. Gena said that the only way to catch fish here is with a net, Gadzhi told him that. Then I dropped my fishing rod and went hunting for hazel grouse. I whistle into the whistle, and the hazel grouse whistles back at me, only moving further and further away, like Gadzhi and Gena yesterday... I threw the gun, undressed, and into the water. I see Gadzhi coming. He and I swam in Uchura and did some shopping. But the water here is warmer and the current does not carry as much as in the Mae River, when we swam in Nelkana. After swimming we returned to the barracks and ate mushroom soup. Then I examined the barracks. It was a permanent camp abandoned by geologists about 20 years ago, or maybe even under Stalin. Someone once built them, all these houses... All the houses looked mysterious, they probably kept some secrets. Always, when you cross the threshold of an abandoned home, you feel an encounter with something extraordinary.... There were no stoves anywhere, someone had removed them. There was a cellar in one of the houses, but it was filled with water. What if there is a treasure, gold nuggets at the bottom?! Windows are broken almost everywhere. There is some rubbish everywhere, a pile of some kind of boards, in one of the houses there are two homemade chairs, fallen apart, askew. We chose former warehouses that stood right next to the river for housing; they were the best preserved. We waited until the heat subsided and went to cut wood for the raft. And they chose tall, slender pine trees for felling. They are called ship rafts, so they will make a quite normal raft. Gadzhi suggested breaking down the hut from the camp, but I opposed: “Why build a raft out of rot, it will drown!”
So we felled some pine trees, cut off the branches and dragged the logs to the river. We were tired, and our muscles were already swollen and sore. This is how to develop muscles! In the evening we cooked borscht from the “Amateur Salad” and stewed meat. Tasty! I called this borscht “Uchurnik”, the name immediately stuck. In general, we don’t have enough products. Just for five days. Gadzhi calculated this way... However, I’m not worried, for me the geological field season is a kind of therapeutic and prophylactic rest. The most important thing is that I don’t smoke and no one will tempt me into this unworthy activity. Volkov is the only one among the three of us who smokes, but he’s also run out of smokes. Until 23:00 we sat chatting by the fire. Lights out. We lay down on the floor of the warehouse, spreading a tarpaulin and covering ourselves with a tent.

07/22/78. The morning began with Gadzhi getting in touch: “Academicians! I'm Academician-2! As you hear, welcome! Ours is fine. Did some exercises. The roof of the warehouse was a little leaky, and at night the tent and one of my boots and a footcloth flooded a little. And for some reason Gadzhi was swollen in the morning. I advised him to stand on his head. I stood on my head for company with him. Volkov, meanwhile, was fiddling with the fire. We had breakfast and continued working on the raft. The logs were thrown into the water; they are very heavy, so the raft had to be assembled directly in the water.
They laid three thick logs with a diameter of 30-40 centimeters, two shorter than three meters on them, and on top they made a flooring of thin logs 15-20 centimeters in diameter and 6 meters long. They secured the structure with iron splinters (20-30 centimeters), which I found in the barracks, long nails (which were in the barrel) and wire, iron and aluminum. They placed a barrel in the middle to keep dry food and things in it. A fork for the steering wheel was attached to the stern. With great effort, the raft was pulled into the water, but it still ran aground near the shore. big ship– great swimming! It’s a pity that there is no bottle of champagne to drink and break it on the side... Gennady tied the rope and immediately turned into a pronounced character in E. Repin’s painting “Barge Haulers on the Volga”. Gadzhi in swampers was pushing the raft from behind, and I stood on the raft, swinging my pole. Beauty! The main thing is that the raft does not sink (until it sinks). Gadzhi also climbed onto the raft, Gennady pulled the rope on the shore. Gadzhi and I, bracing ourselves with poles, drove the raft against the current from the “shipyard” to our anchorage, to the warehouse, that is. It was something like 400 meters. We moored our ship, tied it with a rope and started eating dinner. While waiting for dinner, I put on my patronage. I took a gun and went hunting. The channel near the camp beckoned under the shade with its coolness and mystery. Along the channel there was a convenient path hidden in the thickets tall trees. I walked about 300 meters and suddenly saw a hazel grouse, which, upon my appearance, took off almost from under my feet and sat down on a tree branch. I feverishly tore the gun from my shoulder and fired. The hazel grouse fell to the ground like a stone, but immediately took off and was gone. Strange!
I walk further along the path. A duck swims along the channel. I took aim again, and once again she dived into the water. Yep, that means diving duck. I took aim and waited for her to emerge, but the duck sank into the water! Perhaps she hid in the shore grass. I crossed the channel along the marshy isthmus. There is no game anywhere, it is hiding. I crossed over to my side of the channel again. Then suddenly: - Fr-fr-r! Grouse. I took aim, and he again: “Fr-fr-r!” And he flew away, the bastard. Upon returning to camp, I was caught in the pouring rain and was soaked to the last thread. Hunting is worse than bondage! But I was rewarded with an amazing sight: I suddenly discovered that the clouds carried by Zephyr were painted with a bloody dawn. The whole sky, in blazes of fire, looked through the mighty trunks, like in the picture that I liked as a child (“Made in Japan”). Indescribable! What a pity that I didn’t bring color films for slides with me. He came back, wrung out, and dried. I ate soup and soon fell asleep. That evening we argued until we were hoarse: what is dawn, what is sunset, what is dawn, and what is the difference between these words. And so, without reaching an agreement and a decision, any of us remained right. How right I was that dawn is in the morning, and dawn is sunset, and Gadzhi was right, confident that dawn and dawn are one and the same, and in the morning they are the only ones, and in the evening there is only sunset...

23rd of July, Sunday. I got up very early in the morning; half past five had just flowed out of the reservoir of time. But the dream is gone and it’s cold - fog is flowing from the river. I took a gun and moved into the taiga, onto the same treacherous channel, where there is no prey for a damn thing, but you get wet to the skin every time. This time I went there without ever seeing any game. But on his way back, he saw a diving duck swimming and hid, letting it come closer. But he, the scoundrel, probably sensed the cold of the fear of death, and soared into the transparent environment that we deign to breathe. And flying away from the gun, it swayed like a float on the surface of the water. But then, rustling with its wing, another one flies here. The duck is not a fish - it’s a bird, and this one also sits nearby, and you can only see it poorly behind a large bush. I sneak up to him like a cat slowly, but he hears and flies deep into the channel, from where I am not destined to get him. Again I was completely wet and cold, like a fool, returning home with an empty bag. We had breakfast with what was left from dinner. They collected their things and threw them onto the raft, or rather into a barrel. And sitting by the fire, we also saw a duck swimming along the shore. It floats, floats, floats, dives, and at this time I run to the gun. A minute later, a shot rang out, the shot flew up to the target, and the game lay lifeless in the waves. Instantly I undressed and rushed into the water, swam a little (30 meters) and the game was in my hands. More precisely in the teeth, and I, like a little dog, swim with her to the shore. Here's my trophy! But actually, I suddenly felt sorry for the lifeless bird I had killed, rocking on the waves... But then we set sail. Farewell, farewell, Tomptokan barracks! We set sail, decided to immediately cross the river with the goal of practicing a little in steering the raft, and on the neighboring bank to cut down a birch tree and make oars. And so, pushing only with poles, we did not dare to reach the shore, since there was a stretch and shoals all around. So we decided to swim further for now, pushing ourselves away from the bottom with poles. There was almost no current here, so we pushed endlessly to give the raft movement. Gradually the river began to narrow, the current finally caught the raft and we put the poles aside, blissfully looking around at the wonderful views opening up river landscape. But we didn't have to rest for long. We could see a rapids ahead, and we were being carried straight onto the rocks! Tr-r-r! Stranded! They jumped off the raft and dragged the raft to the left bank, where the main fairway was located. It almost happened! From now on, we decided to carefully monitor the situation ahead, so as not to run aground or hit rocks. Then our voyage will come to an end. The taiga along the river is like a blank wall, and the sky is full of sheep clouds, and everything is reflected in a huge mirror on a flat surface, and silence all around! Peace... so we sailed 20 kilometers, and rounding the huge island, we moored to the spit, barely slowing down, because the current was very strong. We pitched our tent here on the terrace, about two meters away. There are mountains nearby. I set about building a fire; as it turned out, I am the cook today. We cooked the bird - tsimus! Lunch! But it’s still a pity that there isn’t a crumb of bread. We drank tea, I went to the side. Woke up and started cooking again - delicious soup, ate to satiety. We were tired during the day on this river, pushing our poles endlessly. They didn’t just float, enjoying the view of the raftsmen moving along the river. Gadzhi of course got in touch. No one hears us, but we hear that everything is O.K. with ours. Tomorrow we have to make a route here. The weather is good, but it will be cold at night, because the river is 9 meters from the tent, and there is a cold fog coming from the river. But there are also advantages: you can shoot ducks without leaving your tent. I sleep in the center, the gun is at my side. Although, on the other hand, when fired, my friends, Gena and Gadzhi, can rush in different directions out of fear, and the tent will crack in half. But it’s time to sleep, it’s already getting dark. While falling asleep, I heard ducks quack...
Dreams begin to appear here immediately, as soon as you close your eyes and a pleasant languor spreads through your tired muscles. Before going to bed, you dress warmly, wrap dirty but warm foot wraps around your feet, and climb into the sleeping bag cover and liner. It’s okay, it won’t get dirty - on the first night on Uchura I climbed into it without taking off my boots. And then you find a hole for your nose so as not to suffocate and you immediately find yourself in the kingdom of Morpheus, and you dream of all sorts of confusion, such that nothing is said in a fairy tale, nor written with a pen. For some reason, every time I dream about some girls and women whose faces seem familiar... And if suddenly I dream about a man, then it is certainly an enemy and things will definitely come to a fight, but I, as a rule, am invulnerable... although it’s difficult to get hold of them too ...And what I dreamed about that night, alas, I can’t remember.

07.24.78. I woke up neither light nor dawn from a bone-chilling cold, disgusting and inevitable. I tossed and turned, but I couldn’t fall asleep anymore, the cold gave me vigor, And the men were sleeping, no matter what! I got out of the tent, everything around was in a dense fog, like in milk. I warmed up a little, but it was still cold. Brrrrr! He took the gun and went downstream. I didn’t meet any ducks, but I kept warm. Then I thought: if you’re going hunting, determine which way the wind is blowing. We must remember for the future. I lit a fire, Gadzhi got out and put the food out to warm up. We had breakfast with a spicy dish called “Uchurnik”. Gadzhi sharpened his skis and disappeared into the fog, went on the route, leaving me without a connection. I'm a student, and I don't have a sextant. He began to write like this in the picket: “Route No. 4 passes on the left side of the Uchur River. The beginning is in the bend of the river between heights of 550.5 m and 723.4 m. Opposite the starting point of the route, azimuth 210 degrees, there is an island, or rather its middle.” What island? Of course - Treasure Island!
And Gennady and I went at an azimuth of 210 degrees, taking into account the western declination of 12 degrees 49 minutes. We climbed up the hill, right over Proterozoic sandstones and siltstones. But suddenly, bam! Intrusive rocks have climbed. I immediately dubbed them diorite porphyrites, although it later turned out that they were gabbro-diabases. The slope is steep, 45 degrees, hot! We got to the top and walked a little. Here: - Fr-fr-fr-r-r! Bird! Grouse!
I made the gun and waved to Gene: Quiet! Do not be noisy! And Gennady rushes like he’s running into an embrasure, puffing and a crackling sound goes through the forest, as if from a company of bears. I was ready to shoot him myself. He calmed down forcibly. Gena hid behind a tree, and I took aim and smoothly pulled the trigger. Bang! Misfire! Damn it, the prey will fly away this way! I cocked the hammer again on the damn hammerless gun. I press the trigger with all my might. Teak! No shot! Gena gives signs from behind the tree: when to go out? I’ve already reloaded fifteen times, feverishly mixed all the cartridges, aiming now to the right, now to the left, crossing myself and swearing at my mother’s soul - but it’s all about the f*ck! And my hazel grouse walks along the branch like a fashion model, walks like a goldeneye, probably believing that I’m an amateur photographer here and came here solely for a rare photo shot with a photo gun. Once again I carefully examine the weapon. Well, rusty, so what!
Just in case, I tapped the ejector with a geological hammer and tapped the entire gun...
Yeah, I found it! The hook that you press before inserting the cartridge is a little stuck. Aim again, bang! I run to the prey. Eat! There’s a bird in Gennady’s backpack, let’s move on. And the heat is like blast furnace! We crawled through swamps, thickets and the suffocating smell of wild rosemary, and reached the point, the last point of the route. I took a different azimuth back to the tent and began the descent. Along the way I shot another hazel grouse. Along the route I picked up intrusive bodies of gabbro-diabase, probably this is a great interesting find that will enrich Russian science.

In the evening we cooked and ate my trophies and swam in the river. We packed our things, folded the tent, and weighed anchor at 18:00. It's not hot anymore, thank you! We are wearing orange life jackets. There is a white tent ahead, where Peter lives as a hermit. By the way, he came ashore, covering his eyes with his palm from the sun, looking at our ark. Believing that we can easily sail past, he jumps into the boat, the engine roars, and now he is already near the raft. He looks at us with stunned eyes. It’s obvious that he’s gone wild and hasn’t seen people for a long time. He says to me: “I saw you somewhere!” In Nelkan last year?
Me: -Well, yes, in Nelkan.
Examines Gennady: -And this is the first time I’ve seen this guy....
He shakes our hands, then looks at our boss: - Yes, this is Gadzhi!
Immediately he tows our raft and drags it against the current to his shore. However, the current is stronger than the Whirlwind motor, and the weight of our floating craft is more than one and a half tons. But still we moor to the shore and go to Peter. Among the trunks and branches one can see a storage shed, placed high, several tents, and an awning. It seems that there is a camp where several people live, but the impression is deceptive - only Peter lives here as a hermit. He is a fisherman, a hunter, he is a free forest man. Like a devil or a pirate...Judging by his hospitality, he really lacks human communication. He treats us to moonshine, dried meat and fish. His reserves of sugar, flour, condensed milk, stewed meat, cookies and other tasty things are much richer than in our entire Okhotsk-May party. There were several guns and a carbine hanging in the tent. It’s unlikely that Peter had permission for all these weapons...
Interestingly, at the end of the seventeenth century, a terrible earthquake in the Caribbean Sea and a giant tsunami wave almost completely destroyed Port Royal, the capital of pirate Jamaica. Port Royal at that bloody time was a haven for the most notorious villains, terrible pirates. Peter is essentially the same pirate. He is engaged in poaching here, beats the animal, and then exchanges all sorts of goods from the helicopter pilots for meat and fur, including weapons, ammunition, and food. His little “Port Royal” also probably often hosts orgies, when helicopter pilots land on the river spit to exchange. At Port Royal, the robbery that took place at sea continued in the city. The rogue traders charged exorbitant amounts of money for any product, with their local bandits standing behind them. Drunkenness and debauchery in Port Royal depressed even the most notorious pirates who came into the harbor to relax and get drunk.
I’m starting to remember that last year we, students, at the party base in Nelkana, lived in a Bichevsky tent, where I almost got into a fight with this same Peter. He is a very cantankerous and cocky little guy, but I don’t have nerves of steel. Here again, a few minutes later, Peter and I almost got into a fight. He had no less alcohol here than the Caribbean pirates, the moonshine flowed like a river, and then he started talking about the fact that Tolka Dorogovtsev’s dog Chapa had given birth, and he promised him a couple of puppies. So I added to the topic that the Dorogovtsevs also had a cat in Nelkana: “You can also adopt kittens!”
And Peter immediately flew up, it’s unclear why. It seems like I offended him in some way, actually inflicted a mortal offense on him. He doesn’t respond to admonitions, gets angry, and swears. Apparently he had too much to drink, delirium tremens...Pirate, what can we take from him? I still didn’t have enough to start a fight with him, otherwise it would come out sideways again, like last year, when a paper arrived at the faculty from the Nikolaevsk-on-Amur police, and I was almost expelled from the institute along with Tarzan and Renat. The main thing is that I have nothing to share with him... I went out to the shore, my soul felt disgusting. The bastard ruined the whole mood. I didn’t talk to him anymore, and I didn’t drink moonshine anymore. I sat quietly and did not enter into conversation with him again until we set sail. We had to spend the night here, in his tent. I’m on the bunk with Gadzhi, and Peter is hugging Gena on the floor. They got drunk like shoemakers. And I had a headache.

07.26.78. I woke up as soon as dawn broke. I washed my face and did some exercises. Gadzhi stood up behind me.
He and I ate and went on our route. Through the swamps we came out to the hill. At first, the whole pack of dogs followed us, naively believing that we were going hunting, but then they sensed the trail of a bear and rushed off somewhere. Only the Boy remained with us. We collected a bag of stones along the route. To do this, Gadzhi went down from the cliff like a climber, and I lowered the sample bags to him on a rope and lifted the full ones up. We returned to camp at 12:30, having covered 15 kilometers. And our friends sit, drink, and occasionally have a snack. We almost got lost: Gadzhi, like Susanin, led us into a swamp, it’s good that the Boy led us to Peter’s camp. We collected our things and began to persuade Peter to take us to the other side of the river. And he really didn’t want to part with people, especially Gennady. Where else will he find such a reliable drinking companion? But what can we do? Peter still went with us to the river and asked me to say hello to Renat and Tarzan. We got into the boat, the engine roared, and we began to cross the river. The current was strong in this place, and there was clearly more water in the upper reaches after the rains, so the boat was being carried away a lot. And when we were almost at the opposite bank, Peter suddenly wanted to smoke, but, as it turned out, he had run out of cigarettes. With the words: “Without smoking, I’m like a fool!”, he turned the boat around and sent it back to his shore. The boat stuck its nose into the shore again, he went to get some cigarettes. They pushed off from the shore, he began to start the engine, and tore off the key on the propeller, because his long tongue and chatter prevented him from starting the engine, which is why the boat ran aground. Gadzhi managed to hammer in the key, and finally we set off and sailed to the mouth of Yuyut-Siebit. We said goodbye to Peter and shook his hand. He didn’t want to let us go for a long time, he kept saying something and saying... but I didn’t listen anymore, I enjoyed the air of freedom! Being a guest is good, but being at home is better! Even if the house is a tent in a swampy valley with stunted vegetation... Peter still spoke out and set sail, and we cheerfully walked towards our camp, upstream of the stream. Gennady, however, was always lagging behind; it was difficult for him to walk after a difficult fight with the Green Serpent, in which the Serpent clearly won. He said to Gadzhi and me: “What’s the hurry?” ...And you leave me here, I’ll be there in the morning...
Well, what can you do here? Gadzhi and I went, and Gena hobbled along a little at a time, smoking cigarettes given to him by Peter. He was still bawling drunk: - Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum, drink and the Devil will bring you to the end! Dead people don't bite!
Some 9 kilometers, and we came to our camp. On the way, Gadzhi shot at a moose cow, but missed. We were met by Volodya and Valera. To the question: - Where is Gennady?
I answered: “Washed away!” and picked my teeth with my finger. Today Gadzhi and I walked a total of 25 kilometers, we were tired. We had a snack. Soon I was sleeping in a warm cotton sleeping bag and having wonderful dreams. Gennady arrived at the camp only late in the evening.

Input control dictation No. 1 on the topic “Repetition”

Vasyutka walked through the taiga, followed the signs on the trees and thought that, probably, every taiga road begins with a rough road. A man will make a notch on one tree, move away a little, hit it again with an ax, then again. Other people will follow him. They will knock off the moss, trample the grass, leave footprints - and you will get a path. The forest paths are narrow and winding, like the wrinkles on grandfather Afanasy’s forehead. Only other paths become overgrown with time. At the very top of the old disheveled spruce Vasyutka saw a nutcracker.
Cones lay on the moss. In some of the holes of the cones, nuts stuck out like bees. But there is no use in trying them. The nutcracker has an amazingly sensitive beak: the bird does not even remove empty nuts from the nest.
Suddenly something clapped in front of Vasyutka. He shuddered in surprise and saw a large black bird. (116 units) (V. Astafiev.)

Contemporaries called the opera by M.I. a magical flower that grew on Russian soil. Glinka "Ruslan and Lyudmila".

When you first listen to the overture of this opera, the ebullient, fast-paced music immediately captivates you. It begins energetically, jubilantly. This is the mood of a holiday in which many people participate.

Then a soft, soulful melody of cellos appears. We will hear it in Ruslan's aria.

Ruslan encounters unexpected obstacles on his way. We learn about the danger from the mysterious, tense harmonies that characterize Chernomor's opera. Then the quiet, mysterious ringing of bells appears. Unusual, some kind of transparent harmonies alternate. The Chernomor Gardens are an enchanted kingdom where everything is frozen and submitted to the power of an evil sorcerer. And again the same prickly melody. The procession of Chernomor, surrounded by a retinue of obedient slaves, continues.

At the end the music sounds with triumphant joy. Chernomor is defeated. The opera glorifies the courage of people who overcame violence and treachery. (120 words.)

WITH LOVE FOR NATURE

In the old park, which begins behind the fence of our house, there is a maple alley. Whirling whimsically, the snow-covered alley rushes out of the city. Bullfinches visit there every day, they are attracted by winter trees, completely strewn with light winged seeds.

The birds sit on the maple trees importantly, calmly, and slowly peck at the golden seeds. And how good they are! The bullfinch's chest is scarlet.

The back is blue, and on the head is a black beret. From time to time, birds dive into the snow, bathing in it. Then, slowly, they walk around the sparkling snow, drawing intricate grooves and cross marks on it.

The name of the bird is given from the word “snow” - “bullfinch”. And it’s not without reason that bullfinches are the first heralds of winter. (According to L. Barkov.) (100 words)

The boy wandered through the taiga, almost falling from fatigue. Suddenly the forest parted, revealing the sloping bank of the Yenisei before him. Vasyutka even took his breath away - his native river was so beautiful, so wide. And before she seemed ordinary to him and not very friendly.

Vasyutka woke up with joy, and even became somewhat embarrassed and looked around. But there was no one anywhere, and he began to decide where to go; up or down the Yenisei.

Vasyutka looks up and down the river. The banks stretch towards each other, want to close and get lost in the vastness.

Smoke appeared in the upper reaches of the river. The ship is coming. There's still a long wait for him.

HOW TO WALK IN THE FOREST

The novice naturalist walked along a ravine overgrown with young forest. It was still fresh in the morning and smelled of leaves and nettles. Log turned left, and a sunlit clearing opened up ahead. The large wood pigeon Vityuten rose heavily from the ground and, flashing
white folds of the wing, disappeared behind the bushes.

Not many people know how to walk in the forest. Usually everyone moves so noisily
that more or less cautious animals and birds manage to either hide,
or run away.

Going into the forest, they run deep into paths and paths. You won't see it anywhere
There are as many interesting prints as there are on the roads. Moving along the road is easier and faster, and most importantly, quieter. It is not for nothing that most often encounters with wary animals occur on the roads, and not in the cramped wilderness.

The first sailors who saw penguins in Antarctica almost mistook them for a crowd of people dressed in tailcoats and snow-white shirtfronts!

Scientists specially came to the harsh Antarctica to learn more about these unusual birds.

Penguins are remarkably adapted to harsh conditions. They feed on fish and squid.

In icy water, their clumsy body turns into a fast, flexible torpedo. Sometimes the penguin accelerates so much that it flies out of the water onto the ice, like a pebble from a slingshot.

IN polar night Penguin mothers bring a half-kilogram egg into the house, and penguin fathers carry them for two months. But mothers also take care: they store food. If it is necessary to transfer a precious egg to a penguin, the father quickly rolls it out into the snow, and the mother also quickly hides it in a warm nest on her stomach.

Here and there, mysterious droplets of falling meteorites suddenly cross out the deep blackness of the sky. It even seems as if, as they fall, they ring, crashing against the rocks of the gorges. And when the flashes of distant shepherds' fires on the slopes seem like sparks carved by a star.
Sparks of fireflies flicker above the black bushes. Just like the sparks over a wild fire when you poke it with a stick!
Incomprehensible, somehow elusive and unfaithful eyes shine from the thicket of the bush. Sometimes they suddenly fill with a pinkish fog, sometimes they suddenly turn coldly green, as if they are heating up and cooling down. A dune cat was hiding in the bushes.

On a raft taiga river

Everything around was silent, even the forest did not rustle, not even the river rustled in the riffle.

The river ran through great, silent, monotonous forests, and from their monotony it seemed that the path would last forever. The next day there were light rains, but that was for the best: the river would come, and we wouldn’t have to step off the raft into the icy water at every sandbank.

On the morning of the third day of sailing, a river flowed in on the left, almost the same as the one along which Ostasha was sailing.

No rocks, no cliffs - nothing was encountered. Only high, steep mountains, barely visible behind a private spruce forest. Between the mountains there is a small flat river, perforated by boulders, like an old towel. And over the river and mountains, small ripples carried flocks of birds. Ostasha threw his head back, looking at the shoals of geese since the day of the taiga gorge. The geese flew away from the autumn, as if traitors were fleeing the battlefield...

Ostasha heard the murmur of another tributary from around the bend. The raft crawled around the bend, and Ostasha saw at the mouth of a small river two boats loaded brown clods ore.
