There are certain folk signs of spring that the ancestors have been collecting for centuries and used them to navigate and predict the weather, which was especially important for the start of sowing.

Spring signs for March, April and May

March- this is the month when the sun begins to warm a little stronger, but it still blows in winter, because it’s not in vain that they say: “Martok - don’t take off your trousers.” However, by observing the weather, plants and animals, it was already possible to make forecasts for the first month of spring:

  • the first peals of thunder this month could already tell a lot, but at the same time they paid attention to the direction of the wind: the northern one promised a cold spring, the eastern one promised dry and warm weather, the western one promised an abundance of rain, and the southern one promised a warm spring;
  • the spring signs of the weather also include this: the rooks and larks returned early - wait for a warm spring;
